Not A Cinderella Tale

Chapter 15: Part 15

Jordan's eyes looked intimidating to the officer, but the officer's expression remained flat as if nothing had happened.

"Hey, I'd advise you not to mess with us. You know what the consequences are of messing with the Miller family. Haven't you ever heard of my father?" asked Vivian, mocking the officer.

"I don't like saying this, but since you've been disrespectful to us, then we'll tell you that we, the Miller family, are an honourable family. Offending us is stupid, which means you should be prepared to lose your job," Megan added as she took her husband's hand.

The officer lowered Jordan's hand slowly, then raised his hand and snapped his fingers. Without waiting for long, a well-built, black-clad man walked toward them.

"Kick them out!" the officer pointed at Jordan and the Miller family.

Immediately, the men in black grabbed the Miller family's hands and led them out. Of course, the Miller family, especially Jordan, couldn't take it.

The young man tried hard to struggle and escape, but his efforts were in vain because the people holding him were so burly and strong. "Damn it! Let me go, you idiot!" shouted Jordan.

But Jordan's screams were entirely ignored by the man. Meanwhile, Vivian was crying in fear, repeatedly screaming in pain from the firm grip on her wrists.

Bugh!

The men dressed in black pushed the Miller family into the parking lot mercilessly. They all fell heavily onto the road.

Vivian's dress began to come off, and her knee was cut, bleeding profusely. She cried out in pain, and Jordan couldn't bear to look at her.

The young man immediately stood up and walked over to the black-clad people to make a calculation. "Hey, who dared to give you orders to hurt us? You see, my girlfriend has a cut on her knee; my future in-laws are shaken up. They are old people, and now they have chest pains because of you. You must pay us compensation!"

The black-clad men looked at each other, and a second later, they all laughed at Jordan's threat. "What, you're asking for compensation? We should be the ones asking for compensation from intruders like you!"

"We're not trespassers, but you cancelled our tickets! That's completely absurd!" Jordan shouted back.

"Reasonable or not, if our leaders reject you, then you can't come!" one of them mocked Jordan.

Cassandra's ex-fiancé clenched his fists in anger. The longer they were here, the more the black men looked down on them.

'I need to be able to protect the Miller family. After all, they are essential to me and my biggest supporters. If I don't, I cannot stand,' Jordan thought.

This time, Jordan glanced at the black-clad men with a sharp, challenging gaze. He immediately approached the men and started punching them.

But Jordan was so stupid that the punch missed, and now the other members hit him on the chin. "You think you're a hero that you dare to hit our flock?"

As Jordan was hit, Vivian cried out in terror. "Jordan!" the blonde girl immediately approached her and tried to get a closer look at the wound.

Jordan rubbed his jaw; it was excruciating. But with Vivian nearby, he tried to hide the pain. Now, he had to look like a hero.

"Take it easy, Vivian; I won't let anyone tear up the Miller family's honour," said Jordan, who had yet to feel deterred.

This time, Jordan's eyes bulged and pointed at the black-clad men. "You, drag your leader here quickly! I'll give you five minutes; if you don't, don't blame me for burning this place down!"

Jordan took a lighter from his pocket and lit it before them. "I'm not messing around. I'm going to burn this place down!"

This time, they turned back to Jordan and laughed mockingly. "Hey, kid, do you think a lighter can burn this place down? We don't even need a fire extinguisher to put it out!"

Jordan glanced at his lighter, and it dawned on him that there was only one with no spur. No flammable materials were around, so if he threw the lighter, the fire would be out in no time.

But Jordan didn't want to show his stupidity, especially not in front of the Miller family. Instead, he gave them a sharp, threatening look. "I'm not messing around. Call your boss in five minutes and ask him to pay us for the damages! It's not just the physical injuries we've suffered but also the mental damage you've caused us!"

The black-clad men still did not heed Jordan's threat. Instead, they laughed, and one even called the police, intending to arrest the Miller family.

"Hmm, you've given us less than two minutes, but none of us want to call our leaders," the black-clad men taunted.

"Huh, we can't wait to see how you throw that match. Hurry up!" the man in black challenged Jordan.

This time, Jordan was confused. He knew he had acted rashly, but they would look down on him even more if he didn't fulfil his threat."

The clock ticked down to thirty seconds. Jordan began to pale, and Vivian, who had been supportive, began to doubt her boyfriend. "Jordan put your lighter away; you shouldn't be playing around like that!"

Jordan only glanced at her; he was still confused about what to do. Geoffrey and Megan's pride was too high to accept rejection this time, so they were only thinking about how to get their honour back.

This time, there were ten seconds left, and the men dressed all in black started counting down simultaneously. Just as they said one, the police car started to approach them.

This time, it wasn't the men in black who were dealing with them but the police.

"This man made the most noise! He threatened the officers, hit one of us and threatened to commit arson. The lighter he used to scare us is near his shoe," said one of the men in black, pointing to the lighter that had died on the wet road.

One of the police officers took the lighter with gloves and put it in a plastic clip. Meanwhile, another officer began handcuffing Jordan.

"Oh, the three of them aren't as noisy as this man, but they need to be arrested because we suspect that these three people are involved in the disturbance tonight; they might be the brains of it!" the black-uniformed man said again, causing the Miller family members to hug each other in fear.
