Chapter 6: Tea Party

William and Jonathan arrived at the party hall. Jonathan followed closely behind William.

"Oh, hello, Lord William! Welcome to the party," Gottfried said, shaking William's hand.

"Thank you for the invitation, Lord Gottfried," William replied.

Gottfried smiled and called over a young woman.

"Let me introduce my daughter, Juliet."

A beautiful lady walked toward them gracefully. She smiled and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Juliet."

William nodded. "Nice to meet you. I am William Ambrose."

Juliet's eyes moved past William and landed on Jonathan. She stepped toward him, grabbed his hand suddenly, and spoke in a sweet voice.

"Hey, cutie. What's your name?"

Jonathan froze, feeling nervous. "Uh… m-my name is Jonathan. I'm Lord William's butler."

Juliet smiled playfully. "A butler? You look really handsome. Want to join my modeling club?"

Before Jonathan could answer, William stepped between them.

"He is my house butler," William said firmly. "And I don't think he would be good at modeling."

Jonathan sighed in relief while Juliet pouted slightly but smiled.

Gottfried looked at Juliet and said, "Juliet, don't rush toward Lord William's butler. Enjoy the party instead."

Juliet glanced at Jonathan one last time before walking away.

As William looked away, three men approached him. One of them spoke first.

"Hello, Lord William," Ellis greeted.

The three men were very handsome. Arthur then asked, "How is your work, Lord William?"

William sighed. "Stressful."

Arthur nodded. "We brought a different file."

The atmosphere suddenly turned serious. William's expression darkened as he turned to Jonathan.

"Wait outside the hall," William instructed.

Jonathan nodded. "Okay." He then left.

Ellis sighed. "It looks like we're in big trouble."

Arthur added, "If we don't catch the traitor, the government will be in danger."

William placed a hand on his chin, deep in thought. "I think I know who the traitor is."

Claude smirked. "I know too."

The mood became tense. Then Ellis, trying to lighten the atmosphere, said in a playful tone, "Hey, let's enjoy the party."

Everyone's expressions returned to normal.

Meanwhile, Jonathan sat on a chair outside. Around him, other butlers were enjoying a tea party. He took a sip of his tea and thought to himself, "Why am I even here?"

Suddenly, Juliet appeared behind him and shouted, "Boo!"

Jonathan jumped in surprise, completely startled.

"Are you really scared? Haha!" Juliet teased as she sat on the chair, her eyes studying Jonathan's face. Her gaze shifted to the earring on his left ear. It looked expensive.

"That earring… it looks fancy. Who gave it to you?" she asked, reaching out to touch it.

Jonathan tensed up, shifting slightly away. "H-Hmm… my mother gave it to me when I was a child," he replied hesitantly.

"Oh? Your mother? But it looks so expensive," Juliet said, tilting her head. "Is she a commoner or a noble?"

Jonathan hesitated before answering, his voice quieter. "I don't know. I've never met her since I was little… and I don't remember much about my past."

Juliet's expression softened. "Ah, do you have amnesia?"

She reached out, gently rubbing his head. Jonathan immediately moved aside, his face turning red.

"H-Hey, Miss Juliet! Don't touch me like that!" he stammered.

Juliet smirked. "Why? Are you shy?" she teased. "Hahaha! By the way, how old are you?"

"I'm 26."

"Ah, you're two years older than me," she mused, leaning in slightly. "I'm 24 years old."

Jonathan studied her for a moment. "But you look much younger, Miss Juliet."

She laughed. "Yes! Everyone says I look like I'm 18. Isn't that funny?"

Jonathan chuckled along with her.

Just then, William, who had been standing nearby, glanced outside and caught sight of them laughing together. His eyes narrowed slightly.

"Jonathan… laughing?" he muttered to himself.

William excused himself from the others and approached Jonathan and Juliet. The moment Jonathan saw him, he stopped laughing.

"Looks like you two are enjoying yourselves," William said, his gaze shifting between them.

Juliet grinned. "I just wanted to see him laugh," she admitted.

William raised an eyebrow. "That's surprising. It's my first time seeing him laugh. He doesn't even smile at my brother's jokes."

"Really? So I'm the one who made him laugh?" Juliet said proudly, pointing at herself.

William smirked. "It seems so. Anyway, the tea party is almost over. We should go."

"Yeah, sure," Juliet nodded as she and Jonathan stood up.

Before leaving, she turned to William. "If you get time, come to my house with Jonathan."

William gave a small nod. "Yeah, we will."

Juliet playfully waved at Jonathan. "See you next time! Have a good day!" she said with a teasing smile.

As she walked away, the people nearby whispered among themselves, watching her interaction with the butler.

William and Jonathan got into the carriage, heading toward their next destination—William's mission.
