Chapter 1: World Building
World Name: Caelum - The Fractured Realms
"A world built on the ruins of fallen gods, where Etherium shapes destiny."
1. The World's Origins: The Shattered Pantheon
Long ago, Caelum was ruled by Primordial Gods, beings who wielded reality itself. However, a great war known as The Sundering shattered their dominion, breaking their divine power into fragments that fell across the world. These fragments became Etherium, the life force of the world, giving mortals the ability to wield magic and reshape their fates.
Over time, civilizations rose, built upon the remnants of godly power. However, the echoes of the past still linger—mystical ruins, forbidden artifacts, and ancient prophecies foretelling the return of a lost deity.
2. The Four Great Nations of Caelum
1. Solmaria – Empire of the Sun (Kingdom of Strength & Honor)
• A powerful militaristic empire ruled by noble houses.
• Etherium is strictly controlled, and only those of noble blood may train in its arts.
• The royal family wields the Celestial Flame, a legendary Etherium power said to be blessed by the gods.
• The protagonist's former home—now a place where he is considered a traitor.
2. Vael'Thorne – The Arcane Dominion (Kingdom of Magic & Knowledge)
• A floating nation ruled by ancient mage houses, where only the most gifted can enter.
• Their Etherium Cores are attuned to pure arcane forces, allowing for reality-warping abilities.
• The Great Archives hold records of the Lost Gods, but only a select few can access them.
3. Drak'Zir – The Crimson Wastes (Land of Warriors & Beasts)
• A vast desert where warriors and beastkin battle for survival.
• Etherium here is raw and wild, leading to unpredictable awakenings.
• Strength determines status—there are no kings, only war chiefs who claim dominance through battle.
4. Eryndral – The Shrouded Isles (Kingdom of Secrets & Assassins)
• A hidden nation deep within the mist-covered seas.
• Their Etherium abilities specialize in shadow and illusion magic.
• They are rumored to guard the key to the world's true past, but no outsider has ever left their lands alive.
