Chapter 2283: A Guru is Needed
"You need a Guru?! If you need a master that can manipulate the spirit freely then you are a bit unlucky." King Leonidas stated.
"Why am I unlucky?" Adrian asked.
"The time now is when the Gurus commune with the spirit realm, but you are already the Mediator of Death. Why do you need a master that can deal with spirits?" King Leonidas stated as he did not know why Adrian needed a Guru.
"The Gods of Death cannot tamper with a living soul, and I am still considered someone from the living which is why I need the help of a Guru." Adrian replied.
If Adrian asked the help of a God of Death, then they might actually help him but that would also mean he would in a state of vulnerability. He would be in a domain completely controlled by a god of death which could harm him if he was not careful. Just because he is the Mediator of Death does not mean he could trust all the gods of death since even they have motives of their own.
"Why not let him go to the marsh, your majesty?" The frog beastkin elder stated.
"The marsh? What is there or who is there?" Adrian asked.
"I see. That is correct since the marsh is one of the places where it is relatively safe. Most of the residents there did not need to vacate as it is in the opposite side of the primordial beast that we defeated." King Leonidas stated.

"The most important thing is that there is the oldest Guru there, your majesty. The elder should not be communing with the spirit realm as he now uses most of his time to teach other Gurus of his ways." The frog beastkin elder stated.
"You have done well, Elder Ribbit. If it is Guru Polliwog, then he might be able to help the mediator. Please assist our esteemed guest to him. You will be excused from the meeting for now as we will need to discuss the efforts to revitalize the lost villages." King Leonidas stated but Adrian felt the jealous gazes of the other elders towards Elder Ribbit.
"You are very magnanimous, your majesty. I shall give it my all in escorting our guest. I shall give him the best the Marsh could offer." Elder Ribbit stated as he gestured Adrian to leave with him before the gazes of the other elders turn into piercing bullets.
Adrian could only sigh as even the Selvaggian Elders hate meetings like the Daemos Elders. He also made sure to give some of his thoughts to the other guild members that stayed in the Wilde. He told them and some of the players that stayed that they could return to the main world by talking to the Daemos that is posted every two hours in this realm.
"Thank you for your assistance, Elder Ribbit." Adrian stated.
"No worries, Mediator Equinox. I should be thanking you as I get to skip the meeting that would stiffen my body. With the agenda that I managed to take a peek in, they might not be able to finish everything within a day." Elder Ribbit stated as he was skipping with joy.
"It seems that beastkin have a case of being restless as they need to move around a lot. It might be because your instincts are always in high alert which is why that is the case." Adrian stated.
"You are correct in that sense as majority of us do need to be active for our restless body. The only time we actually settle down is when we are asleep. We do not even settle down even with injuries in our bodies as we dislike being unable to move even if we are healing.
The meeting back there could also become heated where fists will fly about but it has gotten better where only crumpled papers are getting thrown. Also, there are some of us that can become Gurus that exhibit great restraint. Those that have this trait are often sent to Guru Polliwog for training as they have the ability to become one." Elder Ribbit stated.
Adrian then remembered the face Kabrakan made when he told the latter to be the representative of his race. The large bodied Kabrakan looked small as he actually wanted to tell Adrian that he did not want to be there. Adrian just smiled and proceeded to swiftly ignore any attempts to beg as he himself do not like meetings with loud people.
"I now see why Kabrakan was being pestered to becoming one by some of the Gurus that he met. He has outstanding inner peace which is different from his other counterparts that are a brash bunch." Adrian stated as he saw how rough the other bull beastkin are with one another.
"Yes, as even I was told by Elder Polliwog to bring him to Guru training as he was the most suitable candidate that he saw. It is a shame that Hero Kabrakan is riddled with worries about our race which is why he declined. Gurus are special beings even for our race which means they get special treatment. Even King Leonidas himself cannot just order them around as they are the ones that help calm down the side effects of Beastification." Elder Ribbit stated.
Adrian knew what Elder Ribbit is talking about as Kabrakan did mention that not all Selvaggian could control their Beastification. Some would lose their minds and attack even their loved ones. In fact, Kabrakan himself is a rare one as he could control his without any problems. Usually, a Guru is needed to calm down a Selvaggian that uses their Beastification for the first time.
The both of them could be seen walking for about an hour already but the speed of their steps are high. If they walked like a normal person, then the distance that they covered would have taken four hours. Adrian chatted with Elder Ribbit along the way and learned interesting things about the Marsh.
The Marsh is basically a real marsh but there is a secluded area within it where the Guru candidates train to attain enlightenment as they say. Even Elder Ribbit does not know what this enlightenment does but he knows that the Gurus fight differently compared to normal Selvaggians. If Elder Ribbit described it, then he said that they could create manifestations of their ferocity which sounded cool in Adrian's ears.
"I think I saw one of so-called guild leaders using aura. He has the aura of a blue fox if I am not mistaken which is why one of the Silver Fox elder's daughters got enamored by him. His fighting style is close to that of the Gurus, but the latter uses our Ferocity since we cannot use aura." Elder Ribbit stated which actually shocked Adrian a bit.
He did think that Kabrakan was a bit weird when he did not use aura given the fact that his job class stemmed from the Warrior class. If that is the case, then all of his aura might have been changed to Ferocity when he became a Selvaggian. It seems that Ferocity is truly limited to Selvaggians as a resource that is actually much fiercer than aura.
"We have arrived at my hometown, Mediator Equinox. Welcome to the Marsh." Elder Ribbit stated as they finally reached their destination about half an hour later.
The Marsh is indeed a literal marsh as it is a type of wetland. It is an area of land where water covers ground for long periods of time. The area has water that is about knee high at the shallow parts and a meter in depth in the deeper areas. It is also not like a swamp as there are mostly grass here which makes it cleaner looking like the vibrant green color lifts up the natural energy in the area.
"The houses here are made of mud?" Adrian asked as he saw mounds of mud with doors.
"Yes, as that is the best way to also preserve the environment. Any tampering and it could destroy the rich natural energy in this place which the Gurus use for their training and services." Elder Ribbit stated.
"I am actually reminded of the place where we lived back then. We had cave dwellings before I got my land in the main world." Adrian stated as the Daemos did live in caves before he got his territory.
"Please follow me deeper as the Gurus live in a more secluded area. They live deep within the Marsh in a section we called the Nature's Sanctum. You would be quite surprised if you enter it as there is nothing like it in all of the Wilde." Elder Ribbit stated as he guided Adrian deeper.
Adrian felt it with each of the step he takes towards the deeper part of the Marsh. He can feel something resonating with his soul, but it is not of nether or aether energy. The primordial energy within his soul is resonating with the deeper area of the Marsh.
