The young man was cultivating with his eyes closed, however, as soon as he heard this, he took a deep breath and opened his eyes as he vanished from his place. Grandmaster Kar had brought him to rest in the rest room that belonged to his family. The old man sensed that Hao Ren had come out of the room and was now moving outside. He came to check and he sensed a dreadful aura coming from Hao Ren and this made him freeze.

The next moment, Hao Ren flew out of the villa and then he headed outside the city. Old Man Kar wanted to call him out but the words were struck in his throat.

Hao Ren flew through the void and his speed was fast as fuck. Every few minutes, he moved at a speed where sonic booms echoed through the void. It took him a few minutes to come to the middle of a forest and then he waved his hand to set up to the teleportation formation. His face was dead pan, completely indifferent.

After the formation was set up, Hao Ren vanished from his spot in a blink.

Hao Ren appeared in the Crescent Moon Palace, and the shadow guards reacted quickly, however, the young man only waved his hand and the people were thrown off. The entire palace was in an uproar, and Hao Ren said, "Shut up."

He made his way to the room where the cold energy was rampaging. His steps were calm but the heat from his body was causing the floor to look smudged. The young man took a deep breath and walked up to the door of the room. It did not take him much time to arrive here, but then he looked at the field of energy around the room and he frowned. It would take him so much time to get through the cold, but he had to do it anyways.

He raised his hand and placed it on the door of the room, however, the chill tried to invade his pores. Hao Ren sighed and channeled the spiritual flames inside his body to repel the icy sensation. He tried to touch the door again with the flame energy but as soon as the palm came into contact with the Icy energy sphere he felt a great repulsion.

The young man took a deep breath and said, "It seems that I need to match the balance of this energy sphere to cancel it."

The next moment, he channeled the spiritual flames through his surroundings, and created a sphere around the icy energy sphere. Hao Mei appeared behind him and Hao Ren said, "Evacuate the palace, empty out the treasuries and the data hubs. Move them all out, this sphere can cause great destruction."

Hao Mei nodded and dashed away, Hao Ren closed his eyes and began to sense the intensity of the entire sphere and began to match it slowly. It took him three minutes to attain the equilibrium but when he did, the resistance from the Icy sphere vanished. The young man stepped through the energy veil and pushed the door. The door cracked and began to fall apart in chunks.

Hao Ren saw the entire room seemed to have turned into a glacier. He frowned and walked forward, emitting great amount of heat and dispelling the ice in his way. As if sensing his invasion, the ice began to attack him. However, Hao Ren was unfazed. As he was moving forward he found that something was odd about this whole thing.

He stood before Han Lingshi, who was still covered in an Icy cocoon, he tried to melt it but his flames could not do anything about it. The young man frowned and used 'Eye of Insight', and what he learned was that the spiritual deviation was triggered by an emotional distress. This distress was causing her to develop an heart demon.

All the attacks against him were caused by this demon. Hao Ren took a deep breath and channeled his energy through the dragon ring on his finger. The connection of the soul became evident, Han Lingshi was there, but her soul connection was faint, and he said, "Lingshi, do you remember why I became this strong?"

Han Lingshi shivered but their was no reply. Hao Ren didn't stop, he continued speaking to her. Trying to wake her up. Han Lingshi, who was sitting with her eyes closed could sense Hao Ren's voice in her mind, but the inner self was blocking her mouth as the phantom said, "Do you really want to talk to him? Do you not want to see how much he can persist?"

The phantom was now so close to Han Lingshi that she was holding her mouth in her hands. This was not something that usually happened but this time it was happening because the phantom had started to corrupt Han Lingshi's mind. However, the real self of the lady was also fighting but it was not too much. Her hesitations and doubts have been amplified to such a level that she could no longer deny them.

Hao Ren outside kept talking to her while maintaining the steady flow of the energy. However, when he saw that the icy cocoon didn't break, he raised his left hand and then he said, "Xiao Mei, what happened that caused her to come over in the first place?"

Xiao Mei was present inside the bedroom and the study. She replied, "She was angry that you keep adding things for her to do and leave her here to stay and handle all the work."

Hao Ren sighed and said, "It seems like I am the reason behind her distress."

He raised his head to look at the cocoon and smiled bitterly as he said, "Well, to make up for my mistake, I need to be punished."

The young man took a deep breath and took out his sword and then he raised the blade before placing it on his left arm. The slash was deep and it drew blood.

Han Lingshi saw the scene in her spiritual sense and froze, while her phantom grew aggressive. However, as soon as the drop of blood from Hao Ren's arm dropped and touched the blood. Her aura changed, the frozen Han Lingshi became a ferocious tigress. She grabbed the hands of the phantom and effortlessly tore them apart, as she coldly said, "You have been present for long enough, begone."

The cold energy from the nether dragon flames that was causing the room to freeze was now being absorbed by Han Lingshi and her state of mind had changed. The phantom didn't even have the time to say anything before it was obliterated.

Hao Ren said, "If you wish to travel with me, I would be more than happy. It would save me so much trouble, and I can spend good time with you. However, it is your duties that are so beloved to you, that cause us to be away. I am not blaming you, but it is a fact. So, can you please give up the boring duties and come out with me? I will settle this within a month, I swear."

The ice cocoon began to shatter slowly. After five minutes, Han Lingshi appeared before Hao Ren, she was standing with a cold face, and said, "The heck is wrong with you? Had I not woken up, would you have castrated yourself?"

Hao Ren had seven gashes all over his body. Han Lingshi was distressed, and she ran over to his side, and said, "Heal yourself, right this moment."

Hao Ren channeled the spiritual energy and said, "My physique makes it really hard to leave such deep wounds."

Han Lingshi looked at him with such rage that she would have smacked his face off, but she knew that he was overthinking things and was punishing himself because she developed a heart demon.

She felt very guilty with all that was going on around them. She waited for him to heal and said, "Do you know why this happened?"

She wanted to come clear so that he does not blame himself. However, Hao Ren just hugged her and replied, "The battles that we fight inside us, since you want to tell, I will listen, but first calm your heart and mind."
