Chapter 25: Plans of a Rebel Saiyan

The sun was beginning to set over the barren wastelands, painting the sky in hues of deep orange and red. Caulifla sat cross-legged on a boulder, arms folded, watching Ben with sharp, calculating eyes.

She had agreed to listen, but that didn't mean she trusted him. Not yet.

Ben, now back in his human form, dusted off his pants and stretched. The fight had been a good test—Caulifla was strong, but he could tell she had untapped potential that hadn't been fully awakened.

And he planned to use that to his advantage.

The Art of Manipulation

"So," Caulifla said, breaking the silence. "You won't tell me where you got that weird transformation thing, but you expect me to work with you?"

Ben smirked. "I expect you to realize that I'm your best shot at getting stronger."

She narrowed her eyes. "And why do you care?"

Ben sighed, running a hand through his hair. He had to handle this carefully. Saiyans weren't the type to follow orders unless they saw a clear benefit.

"Because," he started, "I know what's coming."

Caulifla raised a brow. "Oh yeah? And what's that?"

Ben sat down on a nearby rock, resting his arms on his knees. "A shift. Right now, you're content fighting thugs and weaklings on this planet. But I promise you—this isn't where you belong."

Caulifla scoffed. "And where do I belong, genius?"

Ben leaned forward. "At the top."

For a moment, she didn't say anything. But he saw it—the slight flicker of interest in her eyes.

"Go on," she muttered.

---

A Dangerous Proposition

Ben didn't waste time. "You're strong, Caulifla. But power alone isn't enough. If it were, the Saiyans wouldn't be serving a tyrant right now."

Her expression darkened. "Tch. That bastard Frieza."

Bingo. He had hit the nerve he was aiming for.

Ben nodded. "You don't like him. That's good. But disliking him isn't enough. You need to be ready for when things go bad."

Caulifla leaned back, crossing her arms again. "And you think you can help me with that?"

"I know I can."

She studied him for a moment. Then, she smirked. "Alright, mystery guy. Let's say I buy this whole 'big things are coming' crap. What's the plan?"

Ben smiled. Hook, line, and sinker.

Building the Foundation

"We start small," he said. "Right now, you don't have a crew. You've got your friend Kale, sure, but that's not enough. You need people. Fighters. Ones that aren't afraid to stand against Frieza's rule."

Caulifla frowned. "That's easier said than done. Most Saiyans are either too weak or too scared to do anything."

Ben shrugged. "That's why we pick carefully. We don't need an army—just the right people."

She tapped her fingers against her arm, thinking. "And once we have these 'right people'?"

"Then," Ben said, eyes gleaming, "we train. We make sure when the time comes, we're the ones holding the cards."

Caulifla was silent for a long moment. Then, she grinned. "You really think big, don't you?"

Ben chuckled. "I like to plan ahead."

She stood up, stretching. "Fine. I'll play along—for now. But if you're full of crap, I'm breaking your face."

Ben smirked. "Fair enough."

He had done it. Caulifla was on board.

Now, the real work began.
