The future Pirate Empress stood timidly before him, her demeanour filled with apprehension as if she were a startled bird.
Despite this, her youthful charm was undeniably captivating in its unique way.
It was clear that her time in Mary Geoise had left deep scars on her spirit, casting a long shadow even after her escape.
"Sir, thank you for saving us," Hancock said in a trembling voice, bowing deeply.
"I admire your spirit," Arashi replied with a gentle smile. "The way you refused to give up hope in the face of despair."
"There's no need to be so formal here," he continued. "And don't see yourself as a slave anymore."
Hancock's heart trembled at his words. She stared in awe at the tall man before her—his flowing robes, noble and graceful aura, and kind, approachable smile.
His presence was irresistibly magnetic for a girl who had suffered so much at such a young age. Unconsciously, her heart began to race.
"H-how can I repay you?" she asked in a small voice, her cheeks flushing red.
At fifteen or sixteen, she was at the age when her emotions began blossoming.
The man before her had unknowingly captured her heart and became her Prince Charming.
"Can I... marry you?" she whispered, her voice growing softer and softer until she lowered her head, nervously gripping the hem of her dress.
"Marry me?" Arashi burst into laughter. He had some understanding of the Empress's romantic inclinations and knew she admired those who dared to stand against the Celestial Dragons.
Saving her had undoubtedly left a strong impression. Her young age and his status seemed to amplify her feelings, leading her to reveal her heart so openly.
Placing a large hand on her head, he gently ruffled her hair. "Even if you want to marry me, you'll have to wait until you're older!"
"Arashi-sama..." Hancock's body stiffened, cheeks flushing a deep red as she teetered on the verge of fainting from happiness.
"When I grow up, I will marry you," she declared firmly.
Arashi chuckled. Despite her age, Hancock's height had already reached 175 cm, and her figure was gradually maturing, rivaling Eve's.
The group resided in a grand palace resembling a castle, spanning three floors and an enormous area.
Everyone dined together, but sensitive topics were rarely discussed during meals.
Fisher Tiger sat quietly, his body wrapped in bandages. He wore a simple inner shirt with Arashi's coat draped over him.
He was taciturn, expressing gratitude only to Arashi while being polite to everyone else. However, a fiery determination occasionally burned in his eyes.
"If you wish to take action, do it after leaving this place—and ensure you can protect yourself," Arashi advised, easily seeing through Tiger's inner turmoil.
"Do you think the world will ever see equality?" Tiger asked seriously, taking a deep breath.
"Can slaves and nobles truly be equals? Can fishmen and humans truly understand one another?"
His gaze drifted toward the servants standing nearby. They were motionless, like lifeless statues, their souls long since broken.
"Equality will come," Arashi replied with a faint smile. "In some ways, humans, fishmen, Mink Tribe, giants—all races are born equal."
Hancock quietly listened from the side, serving tea for the two.
"In what ways are we born equal?" Tiger asked, puzzled.
"For example, everyone has only one life," Arashi explained. "We all possess the same growth potential and capability to learn."
"Every race, with effort and determination, can become stronger. When holding a weapon, anyone can kill. And when struck by a bullet, everyone dies. In that sense, how can you say we are unequal?"
"But, sir, why do inequalities still exist?" Tiger asked, his voice tinged with confusion.
The stark disparity between the Celestial Dragons and the slaves in this Holy Land was a painful reminder of the world's injustices.
"Absolute equality may not exist—or, at the very least, it is extremely difficult to achieve," Arashi replied, his tone thoughtful.
"However, relative equality and fairness can be achieved through the efforts of the people."
"Differences in talents, racial traits, personalities, and other factors create subtle inequalities."
"Over time, these differences grow wider across generations, forming chasms that seem insurmountable."
Pausing, Arashi's expression grew serious. "If you feel that these inequalities threaten your people's survival and safety, then it can only mean one thing—the world is wrong."
"The world... is wrong?" Tiger murmured, startled.
"If you recognize its flaws, then you must try and correct them in your own way," Arashi sighed. "I'm striving for the same goal."
The topics of fairness and equality were heavy, complex issues that transcended any single world.
In every era, absolute unity is difficult to achieve, and history proves its challenge.
However, maintaining balance is enough to bring happiness and joy to countless lives.
"In my view, respect between humans and other races should be the bare minimum," Arashi explained.
"No one should despise others for being weak, look down on them for their low status, mock them for physical imperfections, or ridicule them for their unique appearance."
"This is the fundamental reverence and equality that all lives should have for one another."
"If this ideal were realized, how could there still be slaves in the world?" Arashi sighed, expressing a dream that seemed beautiful yet distant.
This world was vastly different from his previous one. While injustices existed in his original world, life was generally free and respected.
Darkness coexisted with light, achieving a kind of balance. But the darkness far overshadowed the light here, manifesting in starkly visible ways.
"Thank you for your guidance. I think I now know what I should do in the future," Fisher Tiger murmured as if speaking to himself.
"Your words will profoundly impact me," he added earnestly.
Arashi smiled gently. "I'm glad I could help."
Standing nearby, Hancock quietly observed the conversation, her wide eyes sparkling with admiration.
Her gaze toward Arashi was filled with respect and awe.
Despite his high status and immense strength, he treated everyone with equal respect, embodying the ideals of equality he spoke of so clearly.
The next day, Cobra arrived.
"Arashi, tomorrow marks the beginning of the Reverie," Cobra said with a serious expression. "We should go over the topics again."
The proposals Arashi had presented a few days earlier had surprised Cobra.
"Just follow the original plan," Arashi replied with a calm smile, his eyes glinting with subtle intent.
The Reverie held vastly different meanings for Cobra and Arashi.
As Arashi's domain of perception expanded, encompassing nearly all of Mary Geoise, he discovered something unsettling.
His usually flawless observation field failed to penetrate certain areas.
He could only sense the publicly accessible zones, while deeper regions were shrouded by an inexplicable force that even electromagnetic waves couldn't breach.
"Pangaea Castle... the Room of Flowers," Arashi muttered, his eyes flickering.
As Garp-sensei had said, this holy land's power was extraordinary and not to be underestimated. Still, Arashi felt no fear.
"The only question is, when will they make their move?" he wondered aloud. "Or rather... when will they invite me?"
A faint, enigmatic smile crossed his face, revealing a hint of anticipation.
The scheduled time for the Reverie soon arrived. Cobra, Arashi, Igaram, and Eve made their way to the meeting hall.
The venue was a grand palace, its opulence and majesty surpassing imagination. Rows of seats filled the enormous hall, creating an atmosphere of both grandeur and solemnity.
The hall was already packed as they entered, and countless eyes immediately turned toward them.
"It's the Nefertari family!"
"One of the twenty royal families that left the Holy Land!"
"Wait, isn't that tall man...?"
"Yes! I've seen him in the papers. That's the legendary Marine, Arashi!"
"Don't tell me he's a Celestial Dragon?"
Whispers filled the air as the crowd murmured, their varied tones carrying curiosity, shock, and intrigue.
Arashi's gaze swept across the room, taking in the assembly of nobles adorned in luxurious attire, their guards standing silently at the periphery.
"The participants here are mostly kings, queens, princes, and princesses from various nations," Cobra whispered to Arashi.
"We must remain composed."
Arashi nodded with a faint smile. "Leave everything to you, big brother."
For him, this gathering was not about voicing opinions. The real drama would likely unfold during or after the meeting.
As the final participants arrived, the hall was filled.
"Let us begin this global assembly," an elderly man announced from the podium. "Representatives of nations may now present their proposals."
His words silenced the room, though whispers of curiosity soon followed.
"Why aren't the Five Elders here?"
"It's not unusual. They rarely attend these meetings unless something significant occurs!"
"Let's proceed with the conference!"
Amid the murmurs, Arashi sat quietly, one leg crossed over the other, his eyes closed as if in meditation. Cobra glanced at him, his expression heavy with concern.
Nobles stepped forward one by one, presenting proposals and submitting documents to the podium.
The scene resembled a chaotic yet urgent United Nations meeting from his past life.
Suddenly, a figure clad in black appeared beside Arashi.
"Lord Arashi, someone has requested a private discussion with you," the person whispered respectfully.
Arashi opened his eyes, their sharp gaze piercing through the dim light. Slowly, he rose to his feet.
"Lead the way," he said calmly.
