Chapter 406: CHAPTER 406: A Heavy Shadow Over the Seas

The Seven Waters.

Franky's Disassembly House.

Luffy and his crew were staying here for a short time, resting and waiting for the completion of their new ship. Although Nico Robin was not part of the crew at this point, the Straw Hats still broke into Enies Lobby—not for Robin, but for Sanji.

After Mio's departure from Baratie, the Straw Hats had returned to invite Sanji to join their crew. However, because Sanji was already a wanted man during his time in the Grand Line, he caught the attention of Judge.

With Germa's ties to the World Government, Judge had used CP9 to capture Sanji.

What followed mirrored the original series—except Robin's role was replaced by Sanji's.

Sanji, like Robin before him, surrendered willingly to protect his crew from harm.

Inside the Disassembly House, Luffy lay sprawled out, fast asleep.

But then—

Tap tap tap…

The sound of heavy footsteps echoed as the door creaked open and a tall, imposing figure stepped inside.

Zoro and the others instantly tensed and turned toward the entrance, eyes narrowing as they recognized the man.

"Vice Admiral Garp!"

Usopp let out a sharp cry of shock.

The man standing there was clad in a navy coat, his broad shoulders and powerful frame radiating authority. It was none other than Monkey D. Garp.

The Straw Hats were surprised by his presence, but they remembered his appearance at Baratie and his connection to Luffy, so they didn't panic.

"Why is Vice Admiral Garp here?" Nami asked cautiously.

"I came for Luffy," Garp said with a booming laugh. He glanced at Luffy still snoozing on the bed and frowned before driving his massive fist down on Luffy's head.

Thwack!

A large lump instantly formed as Luffy bolted upright, clutching his head.

"Gah! That hurt, Grandpa! What are you doing here?!"

"You caused a massive uproar," Garp replied gruffly, sitting cross-legged in front of him. "Did you think I'd stay away after a stunt like that?"

"Wait—you're not here to arrest me, are you?" Luffy asked, rubbing his head. "Because if you are, we're enemies!"

"I don't need to arrest you myself," Garp snorted, pinching his nose as he looked at his grandson with a sigh. "I came here for something more important."

"That… should we give you two privacy?" Sanji asked, taking a long drag on his cigarette.

"No need," Garp waved dismissively. "It's something you all should hear. You'll need to keep an eye on this idiot anyway."

Luffy, unbothered by his grandfather calling him brainless, lay back on the bed as though preparing to doze off again.

Another fist promptly smashed down on his skull.

"Pay attention, Luffy!" Garp barked. "If you're set on being a pirate, fine. But next time we meet, I won't hesitate to drag you to Impel Down myself."

"I'll just beat you by then!" Luffy said carelessly.

Garp shook his head with a helpless chuckle before growing serious.

"You've made quite a stir this time, Luffy. The entire sea is paying attention to you now. You'd better watch your step. For now, stay in the first half of the Grand Line. Don't even think about rushing into the New World."

"Why not?" Chopper asked innocently.

"Because you're too weak."

Garp's voice was calm but firm.

"You might be this year's supernova and already have a bounty in the hundreds of millions, but you don't know the New World. You have no idea how dangerous and monstrous it is compared to here.

To the pirates of the New World, the first half of the Grand Line is paradise. But the New World itself is ruled by the Five Emperors. Go there unprepared, and even low-tier pirates will crush you like insects."

"Is it really that scary?" Usopp's voice trembled.

Zoro and Sanji remained calm, unfazed by Garp's warning.

Sanji exhaled smoke, his eyes narrowing. "You're not telling us everything, are you?"

Garp nodded gravely.

"There's more. Whatever you do, don't provoke Black Crow.

This is my last warning to you.

He may be one of the Five Emperors, but his strength and the forces he commands surpass the other four combined."

"Black Crow?" Nami frowned. "Wasn't he the captain of that pirate ship we saw at Baratie?"

"That's him."

Garp's expression darkened.

"If you reach Sabaody Archipelago, you'll learn just how terrifying Black Crow and his crew are. Do not cross that man.

He's a monster in human skin, and his crew is filled with monsters. If you anger him, even I might not be able to save you."

Unlike the other Emperors, who might spare Luffy or at least hesitate to kill him, Black Crow wouldn't think twice about eliminating a threat.

He was ruthless and decisive—traits Garp knew all too well.

Sanji nodded solemnly. "I understand. We'll keep that in mind."

Garp's sharp eyes turned to Sanji.

"You're the son of that bastard Judge, aren't you?"

"I've got nothing to do with him anymore," Sanji replied flatly.

"Hahaha! Either way, you probably know better than these idiots how dangerous Black Crow really is.

I'll leave my brainless grandson in your hands.

I can't stay long—I'm still a vice admiral, after all. Don't make me come for you again."

With a hearty laugh, Garp rose to his feet and walked out without another word.

His mission had been simple: warn Luffy.

What Luffy chose to do next was beyond Garp's control.

He could only hope his grandson wouldn't cause more headaches.

The North Blue.

Near a disputed island, black warships slowly approached.

This was Fui Island, home to two warring kingdoms locked in an endless struggle for dominance.

On the bow of Germa's flagship, Judge grinned wickedly at the land ahead before turning to his eldest son.

"Iji, go. Tell the rulers of those two kingdoms to surrender. You have one hour. If they refuse, burn their cities to the ground and show them Germa's true power!"

"Yes, Father."

Iji saluted respectfully, then leapt onto another ship headed for the island.

Judge chuckled darkly as he watched his son leave.

"The North Blue will soon belong to Germa again. Hahaha!"

An hour later, the island shook with explosions and screams as Germa's forces rained destruction on the two kingdoms.

Meanwhile, in the Holy Land of Marijoa…

The Five Elders sat in a grand hall, reviewing reports of Germa's recent campaign.

"Germa is getting too bold," one muttered.

"They've always had ambition, but until now, they lacked the strength to pursue it," said another. "Now Garuda is moving openly, conquering three islands and six kingdoms in quick succession."

"Germa must be stopped. If necessary, we'll eliminate them entirely."

One Elder shook his head.

"Eliminating Germa would be easy—if not for the man behind them."

"The Black Crow."

All five Elders fell silent at the name.

"Yes. His strength and influence far surpass what we originally believed."

"Then let's send Agent No. 3. A subtle strike should remind Judge to stay in line."

"Fine. But keep a close watch on Black Crow's movements. He's lingered in the first half of the Grand Line far too long. Something's brewing."

"Agreed. But no one can tail him without being noticed—and anyone who fails will die."

"Troublesome man…"

Their voices echoed grimly through the hall before the meeting finally ended.

Grand Line. Calm Belt. Nine Snake Island.

The Black Glory docked at the port of Amazon Lily.

At the harbor, Boa Hancock and Elder Nyon stood waiting, their gazes fixed on the approaching ship.

Mio stepped off the vessel, his hands in his pockets, his calm eyes sweeping over the port.

Dozens of female warriors stood behind Hancock—soldiers of Amazon Lily and members of the Kuja Pirates, all dressed in their revealing, exotic attire.

"This place…" Mio thought to himself as his Observation Haki spread across the island.

The Yin energy here is intense. Aside from me, there really aren't any men on this island.

A faint smirk tugged at the corners of his lips.
