One Piece: Gold And Fire

Ragna stared at the glowing screen in front of him, completely stunned. After paying fucking 100 million beli on gold to the system but he didn't anticipate to actually get good things. Maybe that how his attitude towards life has become nowadays, do your best but expecting nothing in return. Sad life, yeah but does it help in dissapointment management? Absolutely.

The more he read about the features and the abilities of the system the more he started to like this piece of talking AI who like to rob him.

The system wasn't just some ordinary ability—it was something straight out of a video game or at least that what he could say seeing so many things similar from games.

'Maybe they were similar becuase I was a gamer back then ?' He had no idea but he liked it nonetheless.

He scrolled through its features, eyes widening with each discovery. It had dimensional storage, allowing him to store and retrieve items anytime, just like an inventory in a game. This was such a convinent ability to have, if only he had this before, he didn't had to put his money in his room in the ship. And if he is right then time suspends once a thing is put inside the dimensional storage, meaning from food to decapitated heads of pirates won't be rotting anytime soon.

Meaning more time for him to stay on the sea and hunt more.

And to demostrate this ability, system even took the liberty to store his sword and even Krieg dead body all by it self while he was completely out and down for count. Just icing on top.

He didn't care about the bounty nearly as much as he did for his sword, though he got it for practically free but he really liked it and thus he would have been extremely mad if he had lost it. Fortunately, his system wasn't one of those computer program and actually could think to some extent, helping him out in the right time. Just awesome...

But that wasn't it, there was more, so much more.

He could upgrade his stats, making himself stronger, faster, and all that shit.

'Fucking RPG game...' He can't help but grin to himself seeing this.

The system even had a shop feature, from physical goods to information he could get anything from there—but, of course, just like the system said. Nothing in this world is for free. He need money to buy those things, to his utter irritation, normal money won't do. Just like earlier, the system only accepts gold.

"Insanity…" Ragna muttered, were's he gonna get all that gold from? Loot a bank or something ?

However, he wasn't complaining, with the system, he had the potential to become far stronger than he ever thought possible. A little gold hunting was small price to pay.

A grin slowly spread across his face. "Alright… if this is what I've got, then I'll make the most of it."

"Yeah, free housing and food sure feel nice isn't it..."

*Cough Cough...

Ragna almost choked hearing this. This was that girl again, they finally came to her place, and she offer him some place to rest before making something for him.

Ragna too just accepted her on her generosity, more like too engrossed at system to think anything more.

"No, I didn't meant that. I...I I was thinking about something else." Once more a misunderstanding happened, now he was thinking that maybe he should stop thinking it out aloud.

"Whatever, how's the food," she asked as she took sad down opposite to him while getting something to eat.

"It's good. Thank you for everything." Ragna genuinely was grateful. If not for this girl then he wouldn't know what he would have done.

"Think nothing of it. Just eat your fill and get out of this island." The girl said and went back to her food.

"I'm Ragna by the way. What's your name..."

The girl seems to hesitate before finally saying..."Nojiko."

"Thank you for helping me out Nojiko. Is there is any way I could help you to repay you ?" Ragna asked, though he might be dirty broke and already in a condition to be hospitalized when it comes to Earth's standards, he was still a man who repay his debts.

"No need of something like that, just make sure you get off of this island as soon as you can." Nojiko said, sounding both concerned and very serious.

"Hmm if you are worried about krieg pirates then don't worry. I took care of them. You and the people of this island don't have to worry about them. Though I have to say I was surprise seeing a town in a pirate secret hideout..." Ragna smiled, not even realising the fact that he wasn't in the same island anymore.

"Huh ? Krieg pirates, who are you talking about ?" Nojiko at first was alert hearing him say pirates but then after hearing which pirate he was talking about, she was confused. What Krieg Pirate?

"Wh...what are you talking about ?" Nojiko narrowed her eyebrows and asked with a ridiculous face.

"The pirates, Krieg pirate who have a base on this island. Right." Ragna asked with a little strange expression on his face.

"There is no krieg pirate here. You are mistaken." Nojiko shook her head, now wondering whether the boy will be find alone in his condition.

"One minute, one minute. Are you telling me that this island got no pirate ? If so then why an entire fleet of pirate were docking the northern side of the island ?" Ragna asked with an exaggerated expression on his face.

"Sorry, you are mistaken, Cocoyashi Village in stand-alone don't have any western shore. It's an entire range of Conomi islands, you are mistaken." She said with a roll of her eyes but then something click inside her head. This was also the time when Ragna realized that he wasn't where he was thinking he was.

"It seems like the sea was merciful on me." Ragna said, taking another bite of food as the thought settle in that he has been floating on the sea all this time when he was out, maybe the waves took him off from that shore were he pass out.

"Indeed, you are a lucky man." Nojiko too nodded, she knew how dangerous sea could be. It was only by luck that Ragna was alive even after being drawn to sea, almong sea beast, chaotic waves, Pirates and the constant threat of drowning while he was completely unconscious.

Let alone the sea pushing him in a habitant island, even living with his limbs intact was a fortune.

"Oh, so where I am exactly."

"Cocoyashi village."

"Okay, so anything else I could do for you. Maybe house work, something troubling you. Like common thugs, Pirates. Maybe something you wanna do who only a thug could." Ragna asked, still wanting to repay his debt if possible.

"Sigh, back at that, I told you, you don't need to do anything. Just have your fill and get out of this island."

"Why you are so bothered about me leaving this island ? Is there is any problem with me being here ?"

Nojiko at this shut up, not saying anything more. Ragna waited until she finally just shooked her head only to repeat there was nothing.

That was an practical giveway, like saying there is something going on in there.

"I can say that there is something. Look, I don't know anything about this place, but at least you can tell me. If nothing at least I could try to help."

Ragna asked to which Nojiko this time immediately shook her head.

"No you can't, just leave this place when you are healed."

"Sigh, seems like I have to go around the place to find what's troubling you..."

Hearing this Nojiko immediately was alert.

"Hey, I told you there is nothing. Stop poking your nose where it doesn't belong." She said angrily.

"So why not just say what's wrong. It's not like I'm gonna mess thinks up anything for you. Just tell me and if only I can help them I will act." Ragna said with a grinned.

"Tch... fine. Listen but once you are done, make sure you leave this island." Nojiko narrowed her eyes and glare at Ragna
