Chapter 59 – The Paramount War Erupts!

The Moby Dick, flagship of the Whitebeard Pirates, arrived flanked by two smaller ships. And far beyond them, black shapes swelled across the sea—dozens upon dozens of vessels, each a different size and make, flying the banners of the Whitebeard Pirates' forty-three subordinate crews.

"Damn… they coated their ships to slip in."

Sengoku ground his teeth as he watched the Moby Dick sail into Crescent Bay. "So those missing days were spent getting their ships coated…"

Under the world's gaze, the remaining fourteen division commanders of the Whitebeard Pirates took their places along the prow and sides of the flagship. The sheer force of their presence made the gathered one hundred thousand Marines and soldiers go utterly silent, as if the entire world had stopped breathing.

Even the sound of a weapon's hilt striking the deck rang like a gunshot in the stillness.

Then, a massive figure stepped forward—towering 6.6 meters, yet not a giant by race. A human… albeit a monstrous one.

One of the four legendary pirates of the previous era. Before Roger ever became Pirate King, he was already the World's Strongest Man, holding that throne unchallenged for decades. The uncrowned king of the Great Pirate Era—Edward Newgate, Whitebeard.

Gulp…

Those closest to him—whether Marine or pirate—couldn't help but swallow hard. Some trembled outright. If his gaze lingered on you too long, you might just faint where you stood.

As one New World pirate once said—no matter your bounty, even in the billions, you wouldn't withstand a single glance from Whitebeard.

Even veterans of countless battles, in the face of a man at the absolute pinnacle, were nothing but gnats.

"Gurararara… It's been decades, hasn't it, Sengoku?"

Whitebeard's signature laugh rumbled over the bay. "My beloved son—he's been in your care. I trust you've looked after him well."

His eyes shifted to Ace on the execution platform—eyes wide with shock and guilt. Whitebeard's smile softened, full of paternal warmth.

"Ace… wait. I'm bringing you home."

He planted one of the Supreme Grade swords—the bisento Murakumogiri—into the deck, crossed his fists over his chest, and—

Whummm—a white, translucent halo of power spread over his fists.

BOOM—CRACK-CRACK-CRACK!

He swung into the empty air beside him, and the atmosphere itself shattered, spiderwebbing with cracks like a broken mirror.

Rumble…

The world shook. Marijoa's island of Marineford and the surrounding seas quaked. Crescent Bay's waters surged skyward, wave after wave climbing higher, until the sea's surface loomed above the very walls where the Seven Warlords stood.

Yet… the water did not crash down. The surging sea calmed in moments, as if nothing had happened.

And then—gasps echoed worldwide.

From both sides of Marineford, towering walls of water rose—tsunami waves so huge they dwarfed Marine HQ's main building. One crash would drown half the island.

"Oi oi… that's insane."

Doflamingo grinned, awe in his tone. "The strongest power in the world… the mightiest of the Paramecia."

To those who couldn't fly, it was hopeless. If not for a certain Admiral, this "greeting" alone would have annihilated Marineford's forces.

Swoosh—

From his seat below the platform, Admiral Aokiji vanished.

"Ice Age!"

In midair, his hands fired lances of ice. Compared to the colossal waves, they were toothpicks on a lake—insignificant… until the sea froze solid in seconds, turning both tsunamis into gleaming white mountains.

Aokiji then hurled two massive ice spears down at Whitebeard.

Vmm… CRACK!

Whitebeard met them with a quake-wreathed punch, shattering both ice and air itself—yet Aokiji was untouched.

Logia users could evade even Haki-infused blows by reading the attack with Observation Haki and partially "elementalizing" themselves. Only advanced Armament, projected outward, could fully negate that. Conqueror's Haki projected at range worked the same way.

Ordinary Armament merely qualified you to touch a top-tier Logia. Advanced Haki made them feel true fear.

Shattered into ice chunks, Aokiji dropped into the bay—freezing the sea solid as he fell. In moments, Crescent Bay and the waters where the 43 allied crews were charging became a white ice field.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Aokiji's move was the signal. Cannons roared, and the Marines surged forward—ten thousand elite soldiers, generals, and officers leaping from the plaza into the fray.

From the Moby Dick and its two escorts, the division commanders led over a thousand pirates toward the square.

Behind them, tens of thousands of black-clad figures advanced, running or steering ships across the ice.

Over a hundred thousand warriors. Countless strong fighters. Whether "justice" or "evil" prevailed, this would be the war to end an era.

The Paramount War had begun.

"Hmm?"

The clone—waiting to hunt once the allied crews reached the bay—arched a brow.

Beside him, the Pirate Empress leapt from the fortress wall—first into the fight.

That single move shocked not just the clone, but Doflamingo and others.

"She jumped in first?!"

"Did the World Government cut a deal with her? Threaten her? Since when does she fight this hard?"

But a second later, they dismissed the thought—because Hancock's attack hit everyone.

Marine or pirate, anyone in her path was turned to stone and shattered—irreversibly maimed or dead once the petrification was undone.

The terrifying thing about the Love-Love Fruit wasn't just turning foes to stone forever—it was the instant kill. A single kick was enough.

Watching her rampage, the clone's suspicion deepened. Hancock's hatred for the World Government made such "enthusiasm" impossible.

In this timeline, Luffy had no bond with her—no incident with the Celestial Dragons, no rescue at Amazon Lily, no "flag" to win her aid.

Which meant Hancock's actions weren't for Luffy at all.

A glint flashed in the clone's eyes.

Unless…
