Chapter 65 – The Massacring Wood Clone, Gold Medal Support: Bon Clay

"Captain Ketchaki!!!"

"Captain Agsilly!!!"

"Damn you, Impaler..."

As Link fused his physical and spiritual energies to form his own chakra, on the Crescent Bay battlefield, the Wood Clone began a massacre.

With a Body Flicker Technique more refined than the Rokushiki's Soru, the Wood Clone moved as fast as a phantom. The battlefield was already a chaotic melee of over a hundred thousand people. The captains of the subordinate pirate crews, who were vastly outnumbered and lacked the presence of major figures like the Warlords, had opted for sneak attacks instead of confronting the division commanders.

In an instant, several pirate captains had already been assassinated by the Wood Clone's combination of the Bringer-of-Darkness genjutsu and the Wood Style: Cutting Technique.

This scene caused the crewmen of those subordinate pirate groups to roar in fury, drawing the attention of many powerful individuals.

Regardless of whether they were Marines, Royal Warlords, or even members of the Whitebeard Pirates, everyone stared at the Wood Clone with expressions of astonishment and disbelief.

"Fuffuffuffu... This guy, what benefits did he receive from the World Government?" Doflamingo couldn't help but wonder. "Could it be that he truly despises pirates so much that he hasn't spared a single one since his debut?"

Like Doflamingo, others who had some knowledge of the Impaler were thinking the same thing.

The Wood Clone's actions were simply too baffling.

Those who didn't know better would have thought Link was a Marine.

Although the Seven Warlords are an organization under the World Government, often called the government's dogs by those with sour grapes, they are, in reality, just a group of mercenaries.

Whether it was Hawkeye, Hancock, or even the fully modified Bartholomew Kuma, they were all quietly slacking off. They were merciless against the weak, but when faced with someone of considerable strength, they would choose to let them go, coordinating with them to feign combat.

So for the Wood Clone to suddenly start a massacre was not only stealing the show, but also drawing the hatred of the world's strongest pirate crew.

Who could guarantee that the Marines could truly eliminate the entire Whitebeard Pirates today?

Even if they couldn't, and Whitebeard and some of his commanders and allied captains died in battle, the remaining members could still return to the New World and remain a first-rate power. If another super-powerful individual were to emerge among them, they could immediately return to their status as a dominant force.

Faced with such a power, even Doflamingo wouldn't dare to offend them head-on.

After all, he wasn't a Yonko; his kingdom of Dressrosa and his numerous businesses were all located there. If he were targeted by that group, even with Kaido's protection and his strong connections in both the underworld and the legitimate world, he would still suffer heavy losses.

If they came at him with the intent to kill, even Doflamingo, a Royal Warlord, would have no choice but to flee for his life.

Therefore, the best choice was to slack off. This way, he wouldn't be held accountable by the World Government, nor would he be completely hated by the Whitebeard Pirates.

Hence, the Wood Clone's actions were incomprehensible to clever people like Doflamingo.

Either he was filled with hatred for pirates, or he had a deep-seated blood feud with the Whitebeard Pirates!

Little did they know, Link was only doing it for himself.

After all, who would have thought that in this world, there existed someone who could become stronger by killing!

Nevertheless, the Wood Clone's massacre did indeed shift the advantage to the Marines' side.

The already dire situation for the Whitebeard Pirates became even worse. In the original story, there were at least the Impel Down prisoners as a third party. Now, the executioners were ascending the platform, and no one even knew where Luffy was.

Up until now, of the Whitebeard Pirates who had appeared in Crescent Bay, only a few elites had managed to reach the plaza. There was still a long way to the execution platform; they not only had to break through the line of veteran vice admirals but also the line held by the Marine Hero.

Not long ago, Marco had attempted to destroy the execution platform but was punched to the ground by Garp. Faced with pirates, this old man, bound by the shackles of justice, could not choose to go easy on them.

Only someone who was family to both Whitebeard and Garp could break through that defensive line.

But Whitebeard was held back by Akainu, a magma fist having blown a hole in his chest, severely damaging his strength.

With Whitebeard tied down and without the interference of Crocodile and Luffy from the original story, the two executioners flanked Ace and began the execution ceremony.

At that moment, the unexpected happened!

Just as the executioners raised their long-bladed polearms to cross them, one of them suddenly stabbed the other, killing him.

The scene was so sudden that it stunned not only the entire world but also made Sengoku's eyes widen as he roared, "You bastard, what are you doing?"

"I am no executioner!"

The executioner suddenly touched his face, instantly transforming into the appearance of Bon Clay. After a triumphant declaration, he took a shell from his person, slammed it on the ground, and smiled at Ace, who was also staring with wide, disbelieving eyes. "Ace-chan, Luffy-chan and I are here to save you!"

CRACK—BOOM!!!

Bon Clay forcefully pressed the button on the shell, and a terrifyingly powerful shockwave instantly obliterated the execution platform below, creating a huge mushroom cloud.

Who would have thought that a small shell could possess power more astonishing than a cannonball.

Only a few people knew that this shell was an Impact Dial from the Sky Island!

From the executioner's murder to the explosion of the platform, everything happened in just a few short seconds. Even the Fleet Admiral standing next to Ace didn't have time to react, let alone the powerful fighters on the battlefield or the people around the world watching the broadcast.

"So that's how it is."

Gazing at the flames emerging from the dust cloud, the Wood Clone had a moment of realization, instantly understanding Rayleigh and Shakky's plan.

Instead of a frontal assault like the Whitebeard Pirates, they had somehow investigated the privileges of the Warlords, called in a favor to ask Hancock to go to Mary Geoise, and helped get the key to the Seastone handcuffs. Then they infiltrated from behind, having Bon Clay use his Clone-Clone Fruit to replace one of the executioners, catching Sengoku completely off guard.

First, use the Impact Dial to destroy the execution platform, then use the key to unlock Ace's handcuffs.

Sengoku clearly hadn't anticipated that an executioner would have the key to the Seastone handcuffs.

Thus, Ace was rescued in a completely unexpected manner.

Flames formed the symbol of the Whitebeard Pirates' flag in the dust cloud, and then a pillar of fire shot out.

Ace, transformed into fire, held up Bon Clay, who was smoking all over with his eyes rolled back from the Impact Dial's recoil, and said with a grateful expression, "Thank you, Bon-chan!"

"ACE—"

At the same time, Luffy's shout also reached Ace's ears, echoing across the entire battlefield and even the whole world...
