One Piece: I Awakened King Ghidorah At the Start

Chapter 030: The Name That Shakes the World

Uranos…

The moment that name was spoken, two men in all of Marineford visibly changed expression:

One was the Hero of the Marines, Monkey D. Garp.

The other was the Emperor of the Sea, Whitebeard.

Neither could have imagined that the colossal beast before them was the legendary Uranos.

Realizing what that name represented—even the strongest figures of this era couldn't help but feel a shiver of dread.

---

"Fuffuffuffu... I see. I finally understand that secret now!"

The former Celestial Dragon and ex-Warlord Donquixote Doflamingo, watching from afar, suddenly burst into maniacal laughter.

Uranos!

What a terrifying existence!

---

"What… Uranos?!"

A sharp exclamation echoed through the palace hall of Alabasta.

Nefertari Cobra, the 12th king of Arabasta, stared wide-eyed and slack-jawed at the broadcast screen—more precisely, at the titanic creature shown within it.

"Uranos…"

He muttered the name, his face darkening into a cloud of ominous seriousness.

"Father, what's wrong?"

Princess Vivi had noticed his unusual reaction. Hearing him repeat the name over and over, her concern grew.

"It's nothing…"

Cobra softened his expression, then turned to her and said,

"Tomorrow, I'll find you a teacher. Two years from now, I want you to go to sea and find the Straw Hats."

"Really?"

Vivi's face lit up—then quickly furrowed in suspicion.

"Something's wrong, isn't it?"

"No."

Cobra forced a calm smile, burying his worry deep inside.

"You've already done enough for this kingdom, Vivi. So while you're still young, go chase your dream."

But in truth, he knew the truth could no longer stay buried.

Uranos had reappeared—

—and with it, Arabasta's ancient secrets were bound to resurface.

The Nefertari family had played the role of villains during that ancient event. Though they had given up all honors and hidden themselves in the sands, that was never a justification—especially not before someone like Uranos.

---

"Uranos!!"

On Whole Cake Island, in the New World, Big Mom's eyes widened as the name reached her ears.

"Mamamamamama!~ What a terrifying revelation!"

"Looks like we were all wrong about everything!"

---

"Heh… Sengoku, you've gone and said something you shouldn't have."

On Sabaody Archipelago, Silvers Rayleigh spat out a mouthful of liquor, clearly startled by what he'd just heard.

---

"Damn it!"

Back atop Marineford's battlements, Sengoku's face darkened in panic.

Seeing the reactions of Garp and Whitebeard, he immediately tried to cover his mistake.

"Ghidorah! Are you planning to challenge the World Government?!"

---

BOOM! BOOM!

Ghidorah did not reply immediately. He began walking slowly toward the center of the bay, his gargantuan form shaking the ice with every step.

Marines and pirates alike scrambled out of his path in terror.

---

"Heh… Challenge the World Government?"

"I never said anything about challenging it."

Hearing this, Sengoku and the others let out a brief sigh of relief.

But before they could settle, the monster's tone shifted—

Ghidorah's eyes narrowed, his voice cold and merciless:

> "I plan to destroy it."

> "This twisted political system should never have existed in this world."

---

What…?!

Σ(⊙▽⊙"a!!

The hoarse yet absolute voice carried such terrifying conviction that even the entire world shuddered.

The World Government—with over 100 member nations, regarded as the supreme global authority—was treated by Ghidorah as nothing more than a sandcastle, one he intended to knock over without a second thought.

---

"Damn it…!"

"Shut down all broadcasts!"

Sengoku barked, his face stormy with rage.

Soldiers moved to obey, frantically cutting connections to every transponder snail.

But they were too late.

Too many snails had been secretly planted throughout Marineford by various global factions desperate to witness this legendary battle.

Moments later, the broadcast resumed across Sabaody and other locations worldwide.

---

"Arrogant bastard! Die!"

A furious roar echoed from the city wall.

Akainu had leapt into the air—his fists surging with molten magma, trailing black smoke as he hurtled toward Ghidorah.

In that split second, everyone froze.

Akainu's attack arrived almost instantly.

A colossal magma fist, nearly 20 meters tall, surged forth like a volcanic eruption.

But compared to Ghidorah—it looked no more threatening than a baby's punch aimed at an adult.

Ghidorah's golden eyes remained flat and unfazed.

As the magma fist neared, his body suddenly twisted.

WHAM!!

His massive dragon tail whipped through the air like a hurricane, slamming into the magma blow with overwhelming force.

BOOM!!

A deafening shockwave tore through the bay. Even the air trembled.

Under the immense heat, rippling heatwaves danced across the battlefield. The magma burst like fireworks, scattering molten chunks across the area.

CRASH!

Fiery debris and searing gusts expanded outward, engulfing the battlefield in a blazing storm.

---

"Kid, magma's not something you throw around like that."

From within the inferno, Ghidorah stretched and shook his massive frame as if relaxing in a hot spring.

Then, he spread his enormous wings wide and SWOOSH!—flapped once.

A tornado of wind blasted the surrounding magma and scalding mist outward—like a shower of flaming meteors hurtling toward Marine HQ.

---

"No!"

Sengoku's face changed drastically.

Without a second's hesitation, he activated his Buddha form—the golden Daibutsu.

With a massive swing of his arms, he released two enormous shockwaves, intercepting and dispersing the incoming firestorm.

---

"Ghidorah… Are you really going to go through with this?"

Sengoku's eyes, heavy and dignified in his Buddha form, locked onto the beast.

---

"Enough with the speeches!"

BOOM!

Ghidorah roared and launched himself straight at Sengoku.

"What I want to do—no one can stop me."

"And I'll never accept anyone dictating what I can or can't do."

CRASH!!

The two clashed.

Ghidorah's massive frame radiated unrelenting force.

Within moments, his powerful claws crushed down on the golden Buddha's shoulders, pinning Sengoku in place.

---

"Heh… using the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Daibutsu like that? You're wasting it."

He looked down with disdain at the struggling Sengoku beneath his feet—and pressed harder.

RUMBLE!!

The sound was like a mountain collapsing.

Visible cracks spread rapidly across the plaza floor beneath Sengoku's feet.

BOOM!!

The ground caved in, shattering as if the entire plaza had snapped like glass.

PUH!

Sengoku spat a mouthful of blood, eyes wide with horror.

---

"Impact!"

He growled, teeth clenched.

Two massive shockwaves formed in his palms.

VMMM—VMMM—VMMM!!

The invisible force buzzed with tension, vibrating the air like a thousand bee stingers.

---

"Sengoku, you brat."

"You really think that's enough?"

Ghidorah stood firm. Feeling the twin shockwaves under his feet, he simply smirked.

Then he squeezed.

BOOM!!

An explosive burst of energy shot out from the clash point, erupting like a ruptured dam.

The raw force swept outward in all directions like a nuclear shockwave, devouring everything nearby.

CRACK—CRASH!!

Buildings shattered. Debris flew like shrapnel. Smoke and sand blanketed the air.

As the dust began to clear, what emerged was a Marineford plaza… utterly ruined.

---

"GHIDORAH!!!"

From within the massive crater, Sengoku, face smeared in blood, let out a furious roar.
