One Piece: I Awakened King Ghidorah At the Start

Chapter 032: World Boss Raid – Tank, Heals, and Double DPS

If he had a middle finger…

Ghidorah would have flipped it at all of them.

Damn it, seriously?!

They had a tank, a rogue, double spellcasters (ice and fire), and a physical priest charging a big skill in the back...

They were treating him like a world boss raid!

On the frozen inner bay of Marineford, nearly 100,000 soldiers stood dumbfounded.

Staring blankly at the chaos unfolding in the plaza, a thick layer of terror clouded their eyes.

At this moment, the world was about to shake again.

Even Golden Lion Shiki, during his escape years ago, probably never received such top-tier aggro.

Under the world's stunned gaze, two massive ice tridents infused with biting winter energy struck Ghidorah's heads with immense force.

BOOM!!

The crowd of marines erupted into cheer.

"YES!!"

"Admiral Aokiji is awesome!"

"Direct hit!"

CRACK!

But the next second, those mighty, frost-laced ice spears shattered like brittle glass.

Shards of broken crystal fell like snow to the ground.

And along with it — so did everyone's jaws.

"Brat… this ice?"

"Might as well be used for snow cones."

"And not even the fruity kind."

Completely unharmed, Ghidorah shook his frost-covered heads with a smirk.

"Really…?"

Aokiji muttered to himself, glancing down at his frost-covered hand.

Am I really that weak?

The blow to his pride was real.

Before he could dwell on it, the two gigantic magma hounds — blazing with heat and pressure — collided violently with Ghidorah's remaining heads.

BOOM!! BOOM!!

Massive explosions erupted. Black volcanic smoke soared skyward, completely obscuring the scene.

"That monster—no matter how strong—there's no way it can withstand Admiral Akainu's magma, right?"

Some marines began whispering among themselves, directing all attention to the twin plumes of smoke.

After all, magma was supposed to melt everything. No creature should—

FWOOOOSH!

Before the thought could finish, a chorus of whooshing noises pierced the sky.

Blazing volcanic fireballs shot out from the smoke, each trailing black smoke as they punched holes in the thick cloud.

Dozens—hundreds—of fireballs blasted through the haze, rocketing outward like flaming meteors.

"AAAHH!!" "T-That thing!!"

Cries of horror echoed as people caught glimpses through the ruptured smoke.

What they saw froze their blood:

Beneath those cold, emotionless golden eyes, in the half-opened gaping maw, drips of thick, glowing red fluid trickled out—

Magma.

The magma Akainu had launched—now melting off Ghidorah's teeth like soup.

HSSSSHHHH…

A collective gasp rippled through the soldiers.

A creature… that could eat magma?

This defied all logic. It was a nightmare.

"Hot drinks need sugar, too."

A deep, sarcastic voice growled. Two of Ghidorah's terrifying, demonic heads burst from the smoke, magma still dripping from their jaws.

GULP.

Even veteran marines couldn't help swallowing nervously.

They bit through magma.

They bit magma.

They ATE magma.

"Also… it tastes like crap. One star."

The demonic head that emerged like something out of a hellscape glared at Akainu with fury.

"Impressive..."

At that moment, Dracule Mihawk, who had just arrived on the battlefield, stopped in his tracks.

As those terrifying heads emerged from the smoke, Mihawk's hawk-like eyes gleamed sharply.

"Let me see… just how vast the gap is between us."

His arm bulged with vein-popping strength as he gripped Yoru, the world's strongest black blade.

Suddenly, a fearsome aura erupted from him—razor-sharp and boundless.

The surge of pressure was so violent it shredded the very air, slicing everything near him to ribbons.

And still, the aura kept rising.

Sweat beaded on Mihawk's brow.

Then—with a sharp glare—he let out a low growl:

"Slash!"

No need for flashy moves.

Just a single, pure, all-out strike.

With a shriek, a blazing green slash over 50 meters wide burst from Yoru.

Like a crescent moon, the slash sliced through the air, shrieking across the battlefield toward Ghidorah's right head.

"Hmph."

Ghidorah's right head sneered. The golden-scaled face twitched as spiked jaws opened slowly.

ZHHZZT!

With a thunderous hiss, a golden electromagnetic beam shot out from its mouth.

Like a golden lightning serpent, it collided with the slash in mid-air—

BOOOOOOM!!!

A massive explosion thundered across Marineford.

In an instant, the emerald slash shattered, disintegrated by the golden beam, dissolving into violent shockwaves.

Invisible force waves radiated outward like ripples from a bomb dropped in the sea.

BOOM!

The residual force of the beam blasted into the plaza below, shattering the ground into a massive crater.

The shockwave erupted outward like a ring-shaped detonation, ripping apart structures and leaving nothing behind but dust.

---

In the heart of the storm:

Mihawk, his black coat flapping violently in the wind, stared silently, eyes wide.

He knew the gap between them.

But not like this.

Not like a canyon, but like an abyss.

"Was I… defeated?"

His sharp eyes dimmed for a moment, dazed, as he murmured.

"No… I wasn't defeated."

After a moment of doubt, clarity returned.

Determination burned once more in his gaze.

He lifted his head, staring directly at Ghidorah, and slowly raised Yoru.

"Ghidorah, thank you—for showing me what the true 'strongest in the world' really means."

"From this day forward, I swear upon my blade… you will be the one I surpass."

And with that declaration—

He sheathed Yoru onto his back, turned around, and left without hesitation.

"Hawkeye! Where are you going?!"

Akainu's voice growled, eyes narrowing darker than before.

"I'm not his match. A battle with that kind of power difference is meaningless."

Mihawk paused for a moment, glanced at Akainu and the others, then disappeared from Marineford without looking back.

"Damn it!"

Akainu's fury erupted, magma roiling around him as he prepared to strike again—

Thump...

Suddenly, a strange soft thud echoed in everyone's ears.

Everyone's heart jumped at once.

They all turned toward the compressed energy sphere forming in the distance.

No one dared underestimate what that was.

They could feel it:

Something terrifying was coming.
