''Bourgeois Kingdom Palace''

After Cavendish returned to the palace, he had initially planned to take a bath and change into fresh clothes, hoping for some rest with the help of the maids.

After all, not only had he nearly lost his life during his recent outing, but he was also completely exhausted, drenched in sweat and blood. As a nobleman who valued cleanliness, this made him feel incredibly uncomfortable.

However, just as he was about to move, a hand suddenly landed on his shoulder.

At first, Cavendish thought it was just another palace maid trying to take advantage of him. But when he turned around, he found the maids standing in an orderly fashion behind him, none of them close enough to be touching his shoulder.

"Your Highness?" One of the maids asked, noticing him standing there in a daze, her voice tinged with confusion.

Cavendish felt a chill run down his spine but quickly regained his composure. He waved his hand at the maids. "I just remembered something. You all go ahead and prepare the hot water."

"Yes, Your Highness." The maids nodded and departed.

Left alone in the vast corridor of the palace, Cavendish stood still for a moment. He cleared his throat and called out into the air, "Giorno?"

No answer came.

But then, the hand patted his shoulder again.

When Cavendish reached up to touch the spot, there was nothing there. It was as if the hand had never existed.

With that, Cavendish finally relaxed.

Suddenly, he recalled the sight of the Sword Pirate crew members collapsing and dying so suddenly, and everything clicked into place.

He now understood the cause of those strange occurrences. Giorno must have some kind of invisible... "clone" ability. That would explain how he was able to kill those pirates from a distance, without anyone noticing.

He also realized that the little girl they had rescued from the pirate ship probably didn't have any floating abilities after all. Instead, she was simply being pulled by Giorno's "invisible clone," which had been hovering around him…

"This Giorno guy is seriously impressive," Cavendish muttered to himself. "I can't even defeat him face-to-face with 'Hakuba.' And if he's using this mysterious 'clone' of his, what are we supposed to do? We'd be swinging our swords at thin air, unable to even touch the hem of his clothes. Next thing you know, we'd be like those pirates, dead without knowing how it happened..."

B.I.B. noticed Cavendish lost in thought and knocked on his head.

"What are you doing, knocking on me?" Cavendish grumbled, but then a realization hit him. His fist slammed into his palm. "Ah! So that's why you wanted me to go to the library when I got back, huh?"

He thought to himself that if he wanted to read in the palace, he could've done it on his own. Why make it so mysterious? It was starting to freak him out a bit…

At the same time, Cavendish couldn't help but feel envious. He saw some similarities between himself and Giorno, both of them having a second "self." But for Cavendish, his second "self" was a dangerous personality that took over his body when he slept, causing chaos. As he got older, the threat of "Hakuba" grew.

On the other hand, Giorno's other "self" seemed more like a ghost, something that wouldn't cause trouble but could actually be used to his advantage as a helper.

Just thinking about it made Cavendish a little envious. Giorno was out shopping with a beautiful woman and two cute little girls, while Cavendish was here in the palace, reading in the library. It seemed like Giorno's special ability was so much more convenient… If only "Hakuba" could be that obedient...

B.I.B. clearly had no interest in letting Cavendish take a bath first. Like its main body, if it were Hancock, it would at least enjoy watching and storing memories, but as a machine, B.I.B. wasn't interested in watching men bathe.

What could Cavendish do? He couldn't touch Giorno's invisible clone, and the clone kept knocking on his head, urging him forward. Reluctantly, he made his way to the library.

On his way, he ran into King and the Queen.

The Queen breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing him. "I heard you went to Fairo Island? There were rumors of a monster causing trouble there, what a mess!"

"No monster, no problem," King replied with understanding. "Did you see the monster?"

Cavendish responded, "I did, but it wasn't anything special. It was just a person who ate a Devil Fruit. Her ability malfunctioned, and she couldn't return to her human form, which is why she was called a monster."

Cavendish may have had a strong sense of vanity and jealousy, but deep down, he wasn't a bad person. Since he knew that the so-called "monster" was just a woman who had lost her home due to her malfunctioning Devil Fruit ability, he didn't mention to King and the Queen that she had nearly gone mad and tried to kill him... After all, it was him who had provoked her on that deserted island in the first place.

King and the Queen were intrigued to hear about Annie, realizing that such a peculiar person lived on the deserted island next to theirs.

"Staying on a deserted island, away from people, must have been because she was afraid of losing control and harming innocent souls," the Queen sighed. "Fortunately, she's recovered now, that's a blessing."

After King and the Queen gave him a lecture, Cavendish responded nonchalantly and quickly made his way to the library. It wasn't that he was in a rush, but Giorno's presence, like an invisible force pushing him, was relentless, as if a death sentence was hanging over him.

"Rare to see him wanting to read," the Queen remarked with a hint of admiration.

B.I.B. led Cavendish to the palace's massive library... calling it a library was an understatement. The walls stretched more than ten meters high, packed with shelves of books on humanities, geography, novels, history, poetry, and art.

"This is it. What books are you looking for? Should I fetch them for you, or do you want to find them yourself?"

Cavendish leaned against the door with a pout.

Soon, he couldn't keep pouting anymore. Once B.I.B. entered, it ignored Cavendish entirely and began pulling books from the top-left corner of the bookshelf. It was just like when they were on Saber Island, flipping through each book in just 1-2 seconds before returning it and pulling out another one...

Cavendish stood there, mouth agape, utterly stunned. He'd never seen anyone read like this before.

Inside Den Den Mushi City Fortress

Upon entering, Robin took Koala and Mariann to wash their faces and hair.

Liam stomped his foot, calling on the little green Den Den Mushi to use the Shiro Shiro no Mi (Castle-Castle Fruit) ability to fetch him a warm, damp towel. He casually rubbed it across his face before heading over to find Annie, who had already changed into the new clothes Robin had bought for her. She sat on the sofa in the living room, looking distant.

She was almost thirty, but she still had a striking figure, a common trait in the pirate world. In this sea of misfits, people were either extremely grotesque, with twisted features, or astonishingly beautiful, often with outstanding figures, comparable to the female stars Liam had seen on the television in his past life.

Unfortunately, after encountering Robin, especially Hancock's national treasure-level beauty and figure, Annie seemed rather ordinary to Liam, like just another passerby.

Annie sat on the sofa, her eyes lost in thought. When she saw Liam approaching, her anxiety grew.

She knew that this man had saved her, taken away that deadly Zoan Devil Fruit ability, but he came and went like a shadow, shrouded in mystery. Moreover, after transforming into a red-haired gorilla and being isolated from society for so long, she had no idea how to interact with people anymore, nor how to express her gratitude.

"After you left, Amoline missed you terribly; she wants to join us and become a pirate," Liam's first words made Annie's emotions break. Tears began to stream down her face.

As they entered the restaurant to prepare for lunch, they found Prince Cavendish already waiting there, holding an Eternal Pose in his hand…
