Chapter 133: Chapter 133 Lucifer: Only I Can Kill Him!
In the endless sea of the Grand Line, a warship was patrolling the waters, chasing and killing pirates.
The Hawk Faction Marine Vice Admiral, Ghost Spider, stood at the bow of the ship, holding his sword in his left hand, exuding a chilling aura all around him.
They had noticed the thunder and lightning in the sky earlier, so they came to investigate.
"Ghost Spider Vice Admiral, there's something in the sky ahead!"
A Marine observer suddenly shouted, attracting everyone's attention.
The Marine officers and Vice Admiral Ghost Spider on the ship looked forward and saw several islands falling from the sky.
"Islands falling from the sky?"
Even Ghost Spider, who was accustomed to strong winds and rough seas, couldn't help but be shocked at this sight.
Although there were countless strange phenomena in the New World, this was the first time he had seen islands falling from the sky.
"Could this be the result of a fierce battle? Or did an island from the sky fall?"
As Ghost Spider pondered the reason for the islands' descent, one of the islands had already crashed into the sea.
Rumble!
The moment the island hit the sea, a loud noise erupted, and at the same time, a huge tsunami over 300 meters high spread in all directions.
The warship led by Ghost Spider was within the impact range of the tsunami.
"Order a retreat, now!"
Ghost Spider immediately gave the order to pull back.
A tsunami over 300 meters high was no joke; just one hit could tear the warship apart.
Ghost Spider was confident in his ability to block several waves of tsunamis, but this time, there were many more behind the first one.
Being a smart man, Ghost Spider knew better than to waste energy trying to resist the waves.
"This needs to be reported to Naval Headquarters. Someone must have been fighting up there just now!"
"It must have been a battle of great magnitude to make the islands fall."
Ghost Spider's sharp eyes scanned the sky where the islands had fallen, his intuition telling him this wasn't a natural occurrence.
"Is that so? Understood. Continue with your patrol and leave this matter alone."
At Naval Headquarters, Sengoku hung up the phone, letting out a deep sigh.
"What's wrong, Sengoku? You look troubled."
Garp sat on the sofa, still the same carefree figure, completely unfazed.
"Not now, Garp. Something's happened."
Sengoku spoke with a serious tone.
"What's wrong?"
Garp froze for a moment, wondering if Lucifer had caused more trouble.
Whenever something serious happened, Sengoku always looked this grim when Lucifer was involved.
"The Golden Lion has appeared!"
Sengoku looked at Garp, his voice heavy.
"The Golden Lion!!!"
Garp's pupils shrank, and he squeezed the senbei in his hand until it turned to powder.
"That's right. Ghost Spider reported seeing floating islands falling from the sky in the waters of the New World. You should know what that means."
Both Sengoku and Garp immediately thought of only one person who could control floating islands—the Golden Lion.
They were very familiar with the Golden Lion. It was the two of them who had joined forces to defeat him when he attacked Naval Headquarters all those years ago.
"That old guy has been missing for over ten years. What's he up to now?"
"Maybe his plan is finally coming to fruition, and he's about to make a move."
Vice Admiral Tsuru spoke up suddenly.
"You both know what the Golden Lion is like."
"He can spend ten, even twenty years, on a single plan."
"Now that he's reappeared after more than ten years of silence, it's likely that he's planning something big."
"We need to be cautious."
"Right, I agree."
Sengoku nodded gravely.
"Maybe he's been defeated. Maybe... Hahaha."
Garp suddenly laughed, his tone light.
Seeing Sengoku and Tsuru's skeptical expressions, Garp smiled again, "I'm not joking. His floating Sky Island is proof."
"If the Golden Lion was fine, how would his floating Sky Island fall?"
"There's no one left to support it!"
Garp's words sparked a realization in Sengoku's mind. Although Garp often acted recklessly, his instincts were usually spot-on.
Thinking it over carefully, it made sense. The Golden Lion wasn't the type to casually reveal his location.
Otherwise, Naval Headquarters wouldn't have spent more than ten years trying—and failing—to find any trace of him.
If the floating Sky Island had fallen, it was likely that the Golden Lion had encountered a formidable enemy and had been too busy fighting to maintain his island.
If Sengoku dared to think further, the Golden Lion might even have perished, causing his Devil Fruit, the Lion-Lion Fruit, to lose its power, which led to the collapse of the island.
"Would that old lion die quietly like this? It'd be a blessing if that were true."
Sengoku was already overwhelmed by Lucifer's presence and didn't want to deal with the Golden Lion's chaos at the same time.
Suddenly, the phone bug on Sengoku's desk rang.
Sengoku picked it up, and the snail turned into Aokiji.
"Hi, I'm Sengoku."
"I'm Aokiji."
The snail yawned.
"I've captured the target, but there were no other suspicious individuals."
"Really? Just send them straight to Impel Down. There's no need to come back to headquarters for now. Stay in Impel Down!"
"I understand."
After hanging up, Sengoku's face darkened, and Vice Admiral Tsuru and Garp also wore serious expressions.
"Lucifer will hear about this soon, and he won't let it slide."
Garp's tone grew serious.
He had fought Lucifer before, and though it had only been a few moves, Garp had been deeply impressed by his strength.
"We have no choice but to follow the World Government's orders. We'll have to bolster our forces to guard it."
"I've already instructed Aokiji to stay on guard. If Lucifer makes a move, Naval Headquarters will be ready to support him."
"The real issue is that no suspicious individuals were caught during this mission."
"Is it possible someone slipped through the cracks?"
Sengoku's suspicion was correct. Aokiji had only captured Katakuri and his group, Ke Lockedar's, during this mission.
The real target, Nico Robin, had been secretly taken by Charlotte Owen.
"Your target wasn't Lockedar. Lucifer wouldn't care about him."
"Can you tell me what your purpose is?"
On a warship at sea, Aokiji muttered to a chunk of ice.
"Ah, sorry, sorry."
Aokiji yawned, scratching the back of his head.
"I really want to know, but I think you can't answer me."
"What a hassle!"
In front of him, Katakuri was frozen, severely injured, and unconscious.
No one could answer Aokiji's question now.
On the other side, Charlotte Owen, who had escaped, contacted Lucifer in the New World.
"Hey, what's going on?"
On the deck of the Erebus, Lucifer spoke into the phone bug.
"Sorry, Captain Lucifer. We failed. Katakuri's big brother was captured by Aokiji."
Charlotte Owen's voice came from the other end.
"Where's Nico Robin? Was she captured by Aokiji too?"
"No, she's still in my hands."
"Katakuri's big brother split off halfway and told me to take Robin with me."
"Fishing in troubled waters, huh? Katakuri's pretty smart."
Lucifer smirked.
Owen said anxiously, "Captain Lucifer, please save Katakuri! I beg you!"
After Big Mom's death, Katakuri was the only pillar of the Charlotte family. If he died, the entire family would be left in turmoil.
"Don't worry. Katakuri's still my subordinate. I won't sit idly by."
"Find a place to hide first, so Marine doesn't find you."
"Yes, Captain Lucifer. Thank you!"
Lucifer hung up the phone.
"Captain Lucifer, are we really going to save Katakuri?"
Cavendish approached Lucifer and asked.
"Of course. Why wouldn't I save him?"
"Katakuri is my subordinate. His life is mine. No one can take it except me."
"Besides, I've wanted to visit Impel Down for a while. Now's the time!"
"Get ready. The battle's about to begin!"
"Yes, Captain Lucifer!"
"Yeah, I've been waiting for this! The final battle with Marine is going to be thrilling!"
All the members of the Nether Pirates were excited and full of fighting spirit. No one was afraid of battle.
