> System inner voice ["speaking"] <

> Ash inner speech "speaking" <

{}

Ash sat on the bed in his chosen room, replaying everything that had happened during the day. He reached for the sleek black mirror-like stone from his inventory, which he had planned to give Kuma earlier but decided against it.

He wanted to present it to Kuma personally, so he had kept it in his possession for the right moment.

His mind wandered to how he got this.

Flashback....

Ash, Kuma, and Genzo walked into the male section of the hot spring bath-house. After a long day, the three of them relaxed in the warm water especially Genzo needed much, occasionally engaging in brief, casual conversation.

As the steam enveloped him, Ash closed his eyes, letting the warmth seep into his muscles. He mentally reached out to Celeste, in his mind : "Celeste, open the notification for the quest I just completed."

["Of course, Ash,"] Celeste's voice responded smoothly, and a notification appeared in front of his eyes visible only to him.

{}

"Wow, that's a good upgrade," Ash thought to himself.

Celeste responded with a soft chuckle. ["Yes, Ash. You've changed Bellemere's fate which might change the many numbers of fates of others."]

Ash nodded to himself, feeling the weight of the words. He had made a difference, and the rewards were just the beginning.

Next, he checked the Linked Suitcase, and his eyes widened at the design and as he reads the description.

"That's amazing. Celeste, this will definitely solve some of the problems I was concerned about," Ash thought, his tone full of satisfaction.

["I'm happy you're pleased, Ash,"] Celeste responded warmly.

Ash smiled to himself, his voice tinged with humor as he thought, "You've really outdone yourself; Celeste and I was always pleased with the reward you me. I couldn't have asked for a better system partner."

Celeste responded with a soft, ["Thank you, Ash. It's my pleasure to assist you."]

{}

Ash then shifted his focus to the last reward, and selects 3 out 5 bonus reward boxes randomly. A soft glow lit up the screen in his mind as the all three rewards appeared one by one.

Ash let out a low whistle, especially impressed by the third reward. "A Mythic-grade reward, huh? Not bad at all," he thought, a small smile tugging at his lips. He immediately saw the potential for the Ring of Perception's Veil, already planning to what to do with them.

He also thinks that Genzo would benefit from the health potion, it might help him with the wounds the fishmen have inflicted on him.

Finally, he glanced at the Mirror-stone of Hidden Duality. His thoughts immediately shifted to Kuma. The artifact's description immediately sparked an idea, and he resolved to present it to Kuma personally when the moment felt right possibly alone.

"Celeste, store everything in the inventory for now," Ash requested, leaning back with a satisfied sigh.

["Sure, Ash. And congratulations once again, for clearing the quest"] Celeste replied warmly.

Ash smiled, appreciating her support thanks her again. With that, he closed his eyes, letting the warmth of the bath and the contentment of the rewards lull him into relaxation.

Present...…

Ash sighed deeply, placing the sleek stone into his inventory. Though his thoughts lingered on its potential, he decided to set it aside for now.

"Celeste," he called in his mind, "open the other notification I received earlier during our discussion."

["Of course, Ash,"] Celeste replied, softly. ["Displaying it up now."]

A soft, familiar glow appeared on the screen; the notification pops out showing its message.

Ash, seeing the notification, thinks to himself, "Hmm, this quest triggered while I was preparing food. The hidden objective and its reward were marked with question marks before, so it was related to Nojiko joining us, huh? Good. If the girls hadn't invited her, I wouldn't have completed this hidden objective."

Feeling grateful, he mentally thanks the girls before focusing on the Bonus Rewards. With anticipation, Ash randomly selects three out of the five available boxes.

[1]

Name: Evolution Core

Grade: Mythic

Type: Artifact

Description: A rare artifact capable of upgrading items previously deemed non-upgradable, unlocking their hidden potential and enhancing their existing features. Once used, the core binds to the selected item, seamlessly evolving it without changing its identity or origin.

Effect:

• Upgrade Functionality: Grants the ability to enhance any item, even if it lacks inherent upgrade capabilities.

• Feature Enhancement: Improves the existing attributes of the item, increasing its efficiency or reducing limitations (e.g., cooldowns, usage time).

• Unlock Potential: May reveal hidden or additional features unique to the upgraded item.

Limitations:

• Single-Use Artifact: The core is consumed after upgrading one item.

• Item-Specific Results: The upgrade is tailored to the item's nature; its enhancements cannot be pre-determined.

• High-Grade Restriction: Cannot be used on consumables or disposable items.

[2]

Name: Ethereal Vitality Pill (x10)

Grade: Legendary

Type: Consumable

Description: A shimmering azure pill with faint golden swirls, radiating a gentle, otherworldly glow. This pill fortifies and enhances the user's soul power, providing both immediate and lasting benefits.

Effects:

• Soul Power Enhancement: Permanently increases the user's soul power, boosting spiritual energy and mental clarity.

• Mental Focus: Provides heightened focus and mental clarity for 8 hours.

• Permanent Strength: Increases soul resilience and energy by a small amount with each use.

Limitations:

• Max Use: An individual can consume a maximum of 5 pills in their lifetime. After the 5th use, no further effects will be gained.

• Cooldown: Requires a 3-month cooldown before taking another pill.

[3]

Name: Blueprint: Sailor's Reliant

Grade: Uncommon

Type: Blueprint

Description: A practical and versatile boat blueprint designed for small crews. The Sailor's Reliant can hold up to 10 people and is easily constructible by anyone with basic building knowledge, even if they aren't professional shipwrights. Equipped with paddles and sails, it's ideal for calm waters and traversing the Calm Belt, though it is not suited for the dangers of the Grand Line.

Effects:

• Small Crew Capacity: Accommodates up to 10 people comfortably.

• Paddle & Sail Mechanism: Features both paddles for manual propulsion and sails for light wind navigation, enabling travel through calm waters and the Calm Belt.

• Calm Belt Traversal: Paddles ensure safe passage through the Calm Belt, where wind is often unreliable.

• Moderate Storage: Offers enough storage for essential supplies with slight room for additional cargo, making it viable for extended short-term trips.

• Improved Wind Speed Performance: The sail design allows for moderate speed boosts when traveling under optimal wind conditions in calm waters.

• Basic Navigation Compartment: Includes a small, secure space for storing maps, compasses, or other simple navigation tools to aid in travel.

Limitations:

• Not for the Grand Line: It's not durable or equipped to handle the unpredictable dangers of the Grand Line.

• Limited Speed: The boat is not designed for fast travel over rough waters, even with improved wind conditions.

• Simple Construction Only: It cannot be upgraded for advanced or complex features.

/////////////////////////////////////////

After reading the description of the Evolution Core and its abilities, Ash takes out the Chest of Bound Essence from his inventory and uses the core on it. To his surprise, the chest undergoes an unexpected transformation, evolving beyond its previous limitations.

{}

Name: Chest of Bound Essence (Evolved)

Grade: Mythic

Type: Item (Chest)

Description: The evolved version of the mystical chest has enhanced duplication capabilities, now supporting all consumables and tickets, including certain quest-related ones. Duplication times remain item-specific, encouraging users to experiment, but with optimized minimum and maximum timeframes.

Effect:

• Expanded Item Duplication: Duplicates all types of consumables and tickets, including quest-related items, as long as they are categorized as consumables or tickets. Duplication times vary, with a minimum of 1 day and longer durations for complex or high-grade items.

• Multi-Slot Duplication: Supports duplication of up to three items simultaneously, with each slot functioning independently. Each slot has its own duplication time and cooldown.

• Duplication Timer Display: Displays an approximate duplication time for any item placed inside, giving users insight into how long duplication will take.

Limitations:

• Strict Item Categories: Non-consumable and non-ticket quest items, equipment, artifacts, and unique storyline items remain non-duplicable.

{}

Ash reads the updated effects surprisingly the grade got upgraded as well and realizes the possibilities this opens up, particularly with the ability to duplicate a wider variety of items, including quest items (though it was consumables and tickets) that were previously restricted.

He's particularly excited about the reduction in cooldown times, which will make the chest even more useful.

"Now the limit for tickets is gone," Ash thinks, "this will make things so much easier going forward. I'll need to test it out when we're back at the island."

He carefully stores the chest away in his inventory, and checks the remaining rewards.

Ash examines the Ethereal Vitality Pill next, reading through its detailed description. He smiles, feeling a surge of hope for the future. The pill's ability to enhance soul power and mental clarity could prove invaluable for the crew during their haki training.

Turning his attention to the blueprint for the Sailor's Reliant, Ash carefully studies the design. He nods in approval, imagining how useful the boat could be for small excursions and bounty hunting missions once they begin exploring the seas.

"I'll need to ask the village carpenter for help with this once we return," he decides, envisioning how this simple yet effective vessel could become an essential asset for the crew's operations.

Content with his rewards, Ash places the items into his inventory, already planning how to implement them in the near future

Ash couldn't believe his luck today—three Mythic-grade rewards in a single day. Grinning from ear to ear, he basked in his good fortune.

Celeste's playful voice broke the silence, teasing him, ["I can feel your head getting bigger from here, Ash."]

He pouted, trying to look serious but failing miserably. "Let me enjoy my moment, will you?" he quipped back.

Her laughter filled his mind, light and melodic, making him smile even wider. Ash climbed into bed, letting the day's events settle in his thoughts as he drifted off to sleep.

///////////////////////////////////////

The next morning, after a restful sleep, everyone gathered for breakfast prepared by Ash and Bellemere. The meal was a warm and lively affair, with the group double-checking their plans to ensure everything was in place. Satisfied, they prepared to part ways.

Before leaving, Ash handed Nami "The Navigator's Almanac" and Nojiko "The Warrior's Handbook".

"These will help you gain vital knowledge and skills," he explained, smiling warmly.

The sisters accepted the books gratefully, recognizing the effort and thought behind the gesture.

Once everything was packed, Ash deactivated the magical tent after everyone exited, which shrank back into its compact, toy-like form, and stored it in his inventory.

Genzo, still in his illusion form, approached to bid them farewell.

Nami and Nojiko hugged Bellemere tightly, their emotions brimming. Bellemere reassured them with a smile.

"Don't worry, we'll stay in touch frequently. And remember, you can visit me anytime using the suitcase Ash gave you," she said gently. "Stay strong, okay?"

Both nodded, wiping their eyes and vowing to follow her words.

Meanwhile, Ash is speaking with to Genzo, "Take care of yourself and everyone in the village, Genzo-san" he said. "And if there's anything urgent, don't hesitate to use the suitcase to get in touch with any of us."

Genzo nodded deeply saying. "Thank you for everything, Ash."

With their goodbyes said, Ash, Bellemere, and the girls gathered around Kuma at his request, standing at a slight distance from Genzo, Nami, and Nojiko. Kuma's calm voice broke the momentary silence.

"Ready? Let's go."

With a flick of his hand, Kuma used his powers, and in an instant, they disappeared in a ripple of air on the ground. Nami, Nojiko, and Genzo stood stunned, watching the space where they had been just moments ago.

After a brief silence, Genzo spoke to the sisters, reminding them to stay safe and take care of their home and he will visit regularly checking on them. He then turned toward the village, his steps purposeful, carrying the weight of his promise and his role in the plan.

Nami and Nojiko, still holding their books, exchanged determined looks before heading to their house near the orange orchard. Their hearts swelled with purpose, ready to face the challenges ahead.

///////////////////////////////////

The journey took three days and three nights. Upon reaching the bottom of Mt. Colbo, Ash, the girls, Bellemere, and Kuma made their way to Dadan's hideout. They were greeted warmly by Dadan, her crew, and Makino, who had come to check on them, worried about their sudden departure.

As night fell, Ash took charge of preparing dinner alongside Bellemere and Makino. The hearty meal brought everyone together, and a lively conversation ensued. Bellemere and Makino quickly bonded, sharing stories and forming a connection, with Dadan chiming in from time to time.

When the meal was finished, Makino turned to the girls with a curious expression. "So, where did you all go? What happened?"

The girls began recounting their experiences. As Makino listened, a mix of emotions crossed her face—anger at Arlong's cruelty, sadness over Bellemere's tragic story, and relief that Bellemere was alive thanks to Ash's intervention. Overcome with emotion, Makino hugged Bellemere tightly, offering her silent support.

Meanwhile, Ash stepped outside the house with Kuma. After walking some distance away from the others, he stopped and turned to Kuma.

"Uncle Kuma," Ash began, "Celeste told me to give you something for helping us."

Kuma shook his head. "There's no need, Ash. I would've helped them if I'd known the situation."

Ash chuckled softly. "I know, Uncle Kuma. But Celeste insisted, saying it might help you in the future. I don't know much about it, but she was adamant."

Kuma hesitated but eventually nodded. Ash retrieved a sleek, mirror-like black stone from his inventory and handed it to him.

"This is the Mirror Stone of Hidden Duality," Ash explained. He detailed its functions and potential uses as Kuma listened attentively. Despite the explanation, Kuma appeared puzzled.

"How will this help me?" Kuma asked, tilting his head slightly.

Ash smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry about it for now, Uncle Kuma. Just break the stone, and it will bind to you. You won't notice any changes immediately, but when the stone's power is needed, the information will come to you instinctively. It won't interfere with your daily life—you're free to continue as usual."

Kuma looked at Ash for a moment, then nodded. Without hesitation, he broke the stone as instructed. Though nothing seemed to happen, Kuma trusted Ash's words and set the matter aside for now.

Ash turned to Kuma after a brief silence. "So, are you staying for the night, Uncle Kuma?"

Kuma nodded. "Yes, I will. I'll be leaving early in the morning, though. I've already extended my stay longer than planned. There are a few matters I need to take care of, and I need to speak with Dragon about the events that have occurred. We'll also have to discuss how we can arrange the finances to help people of Cocoyashi moving forward."

Ash nodded in understanding, and the night passed quickly. By morning, it was time to say their goodbyes.

Makino hugged Bellemere tightly. "You have to visit whenever you can. I know you have a way to travel to us easily now," she said warmly, a small smile on her face.

The girls bid their farewells as well, and Ash did the same to both Kuma and Bellemere. With a simple flick of Kuma's power, they vanished in a gust of wind, leaving behind a brief breeze.

After Kuma and Bellemere leave, Ash turns to Makino and asks, "Are you going to stay?"

Makino replies, "I have to go back to open the bar. I took a gap, worrying about you all."

Ash smirks playfully and says, "Thanks for worrying about us, but we can take care of ourselves."

Lucy chimes in confidently, "Yes, Makino, we can! We're strong."

Makino laughs, "I know you guys can, but I still worry because I care about you all."

The girls hug her, smiling warmly, and Ash just smiles watching the moment.

After Makino leaves, Ash turns to the girls and says, "Okay, girls, there are a few things we need to take care of before Grandpa comes back to train us. We have to be ready for his training."

Ash takes out a bunch of tickets from his inventory and fans them out in both hands, spreading them like a deck of cards. With a smirk, he says,

"SHALL WE START?"

Author's Note:

And that's a wrap for Volume 2! 🎉

Seriously, guys, THANK YOU for sticking with me this far! Your support, comments, and just being here mean so much! 💖

But don't worry, I'm not going anywhere! Volume 3 will be dropping in a week, so don't forget about me and this story, alright? 😆 In the meantime, if you've got any fun or crazy ideas that you think would fit in, drop them in the comments! If I can find a way to add them, I'll make sure to dedicate that part to you!

Also, @Jolpi_man, about your idea of Ash having powers like Henry Stickmin—I've already replied to your comment individually! But here's a little spoiler alert for everyone… There is something kinda similar, and it's called "Coin of Fate and Chaos." When will it appear? Who knows! Maybe in Volume 3… or was it Volume 4? 🤔 And what does it do? Meh, I can't reveal that yet, right?! 😏 I'll leave that to your imagination! 😉 Just know it's coming… eventually!

Also, I really hope you guys continue reading my story once I start uploading Volume 3—same as now! Can't wait to see you all there! 😆🔥

See you all soon in Volume 3! Let's keep this adventure going! 🚀🔥

To be continued...

Hey everyone! I'm always looking for ways to make this story even better, and I'd love to hear your ideas. What powers do you think should be available in Ash's store? Maybe you have some cool concepts for abilities, weapons, or items that could make the adventure even more exciting!

Feel free to drop your suggestions in the comments, and if there's anything specific, you'd love to see in future chapters, let me know! I might even integrate your ideas into the story.

Also, don't forget to give some Power Stones if you're enjoying the journey! Your support means the world. 😊
