One Piece - Life Choice Ask Me to Kiss Marine Goddes Hina

Chapter 284: 284 The Storm In The Sea

"My father led the Germa family back to North Blue two months ago," Reiju said guiltily. "I... couldn't stop him."

Lynch chuckled. "Is that all? Your father isn't my subordinate—I can't control where he wants to go."

He continued, "We agreed from the start that he was only in West Blue to lay low. Now that he's leaving, there's no reason for us to stop him."

Judge had approached Lynch several times before, hoping for help in reclaiming control over West Blue, but Lynch had refused for various reasons.

This time, after Lynch had disappeared for nearly six months, Judge likely ran out of patience and moved on to North Blue. Or perhaps, knowing Lynch was in West Blue, he wanted to avoid interference.

Since becoming Lynch's father-in-law, Judge had gained confidence. If Lynch was right, a plea for help from Judge would be arriving soon.

In a way, it was good that Judge had gone to North Blue. A man like him wouldn't stop unless he experienced complete failure.

Right now, North Blue was a complicated battlefield, divided between its numerous kingdoms, Konoha Village, the World Government, and now, the newly arrived Germa family.

Lynch smirked. Once he fails, hopefully, he'll finally settle down and focus on being a scientist.

Lynch highly valued Judge's scientific abilities.

Judge had once said, "A king who doesn't strive to be an overlord isn't a good scientist."

Even after Lynch reassured her, Reiju still felt guilty. She believed her father had betrayed everyone's trust by leaving secretly without a word.

"Alright," Lynch said, shifting the topic. "Since everyone is here, let's discuss a few things."

He held up a Devil Fruit—the Logia Hurricane Fruit. "I'm sure you're all familiar with this. It belonged to former Marine Admiral Fast."

Lynch glanced around. "Anyone interested in eating it?"

His eyes first landed on Robin. Among them, her Flower-Flower Fruit had a relatively low potential.

Even in its awakened demon form, it could, at best, reach the strength of an elite Vice Admiral or an Admiral candidate.

Robin understood his meaning and shook her head.

She had no intention of giving up her Devil Fruit. She was a sentimental person.

The Flower-Flower Fruit had been with her through her hardest years—no matter how strong another fruit was, she wouldn't abandon it.

Seeing everyone hesitating and pushing the decision onto someone else, Lynch had no choice but to pick someone.

"Shikamaru, how about you?"

"No thanks," Shikamaru replied, touching his nose.

"I'm buried in official work all day and barely have time to train. It'd be a waste of a Logia fruit."

Besides, he was determined to live a relaxed life. If he ate the Hurricane Fruit, how could he ever lie around again?

Noticing Mark's eager yet hesitant expression, Lynch chuckled. "Alright then, Mark, it's yours."

"Thank you, boss!"

Mark quickly stepped forward and took the Hurricane Fruit with excitement.

Then, as if by magic, he pulled out two onions from somewhere and quietly squeezed them into his eyes.

By the time he stood up, his face was covered in tears.

"Uuuuuuh! Boss, you're too good to me!" he wailed dramatically. "If only I had been born a woman, I would have dedicated my life to you!"

Tom silently raised a wooden sign: I have no words. Ruthless.

Jerry scribbled something on his own sign: Were you sent by the Monkey King to entertain us?

Lynch ignored the clowning around and waved them off.

Mark's Triceratops Fruit had a low potential anyway—this upgrade was worth it.

Thinking back, Mark had been following him for seven or eight years, and during that time, he was either getting beaten or getting into fights.

It was about time to strengthen him—if not for merit, at least out of sympathy.

Using the system's machine, Lynch extracted the Triceratops Fruit from Mark and let him eat the Hurricane Fruit instead.

"Next," Lynch continued, "I plan to take action against Shichibukai Doflamingo."

"Gion, Kakashi, Tashigi, Kuina, Iron Punishment—you're coming with me."

"Robin, contact Enel on Sky Island. Have him come to West Blue to help keep things in order."

Leaving West Blue without an Admiral-level fighter made Lynch uneasy.

If he was taking Gion, he needed to leave someone just as strong behind.

With his Thunder Fruit—widely considered the strongest Logia—and years of training, Enel had grown as strong as three Admirals combined.

If he fought Aokiji again, he probably wouldn't even need Tezolo's help this time.

At the mention of Enel, everyone exchanged awkward glances.

Iron Punishment took a step forward.

"Enel left for outer space three months ago."

Shikamaru sighed, "The little robots Enel brought from the moon got homesick, so he took them back."

"And while he's at it, he wants to check out other planets to see if there are more robots."

Mark chimed in, grinning, "Moria went with him. Those two must be off on some cosmic honeymoon."

Lynch raised an eyebrow. "Since when did Enel become so sentimental?"

"Never mind. If he's not here, then he's not here."

"That settles it—you all stay behind. I'll just take Tashigi and Kuina."

Originally, Lynch had planned to take it easy, letting Gion handle things while he claimed the victory.

But it looked like that idea was dead—he'd have to do the job himself.

He couldn't help but feel that Enel's way of thinking was different from everyone else's.

No longer obsessed with his god complex, now he was into space exploration.

While others fought for the title of Pirate King, Enel had skipped a few steps and crowned himself King of the Starry Sky...

...

Meanwhile, in North Blue

Sarutobi Hiruzen sat smoking his pipe, puff after puff, deep in discussion with Shimura Danzō.

After over three decades of work, they had managed to take control of nearly a fifth of North Blue's territory.

But with that success came an even greater threat from the surrounding powers.

The indigenous forces, the World Government, and now the Germa family—trouble kept piling up.

Sarutobi Hiruzen sighed as he stared at the growing pile of fallen beard hairs on his desk.

Danzo wasn't faring any better, his bloodshot eyes and dark circles making him look like a walking panda.

"This is getting out of hand. Should we ask Lord Lynch for help?" Hiruzen muttered, brushing the stray hairs off the table.

"You can ask if you want, but I refuse to beg," Danzo snorted. "I have my pride."

Silence filled the room, broken only by the steady sound of Hiruzen puffing on his pipe.

"Let's hold out a little longer. If things really spiral out of control, we'll reconsider."

Another long pause.

Then Hiruzen spoke again, his tone firm.

"As for Germa… it's time to deal with them."

Since entering North Blue, the Germa Kingdom had been like a rabid dog, aggressively expanding and attacking neighboring forces.

In just a month, several kingdoms under Konoha's rule had come under threat.

Danzo leaned forward, his voice low.

"Before making a move on Germa, I suggest consulting Lord Lynch. After all... that's still his wife's family."
