One Piece: My Crew Members Are Legendary 3D Heroines

Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Jerusalem of the 3D Realm

The young woman at the registration booth smiled politely as she returned Ethan Chen's entry form.

"I'm sorry, but this year's tournament is team-based. Each team must have a minimum of four participants. You don't have enough people."

"Four?" Ethan leaned in, placing his hands on the table. "Come on, can't you make an exception?"

The girl blushed as his handsome face came within arm's reach, so close she could hear his breathing. But she still shook her head firmly.

"Sorry, rules are rules."

"Then would you consider-"

"Enough already," Mona interrupted, yanking Ethan back by his collar. "Are you here to enter a cooking competition, or are you just trying to flirt?"

"Why not both?" Ethan shrugged.

Mona rolled her eyes and let him be.

Ethan casually smacked Mona's peachy rear, reminding her to show some respect to her captain.

But he was still one person short. Where the hell was he supposed to find a beautiful, curvy, and competent female chef to fill in?

This was a problem.

...

Side Quest Triggered: Culinary Showdown

Objective: Win the Grand Culinary Tournament.

Notice: Your current team size does not meet the minimum entry requirement. One temporary summon opportunity has been granted by the system.

Reward: You may retain the summoned individual if the task is successful. Failure will result in their return to their original world.

Restriction: No data transfer is allowed with the temporary summon during the quest (this restriction does not include hugging, kissing, or more intimate contact).

Use summon now?

...

Just moments ago, Ethan had been racking his brain over where to find a chef. Now, hearing the system prompt, his eyes lit up.

So this was the right move. Signing up for the tournament hadn't been a waste after all.

Even if it was just a temporary summon, it was enough to save him from a logistical nightmare.

Without hesitation, he answered in his heart, "Use the summon!"

Summoning in progress... Congratulations!

You have summoned Tifa Lockhart, owner of Seventh Heaven Bar on Sector 7 Street in Midgar, and member of AVALANCHE.

...

Tifa Lockhart was the owner of a local bar. Bartender. Chef. Supplier. Cleaner. She wore every hat the business needed.

In the mornings, she'd head out for groceries. In the evenings, she'd serve customers and run the place.

"We're out of whiskey and liqueur... and I need to plan tonight's menu. Curry rice and pasta should do," she murmured as she scribbled a list.

Once she'd finished, she pushed open the bar's front door

And froze.

No crumbling rooftops. No steel slats blocking the sky. No familiar neighbors.

Instead, she saw a lively, bustling town with red-brick houses, tiled roofs, and mouthwatering aromas hanging in the air.

This wasn't the slum she knew.

Where was she?

Had she fallen asleep behind the bar and started dreaming?

Being dropped into an unfamiliar world left Tifa disoriented and unsure what to do.

With her shapely curves and a figure sculpted by combat training tight waist, generous bust, and a refined beauty that carried a hint of Eastern charm Tifa stood out like a goddess lost in a crowd.

It didn't take long before a pair of sketchy men took notice.

Two small-time crooks, who had come hoping to make trouble during the festivities, exchanged grins and sauntered over.

"Lost, sweetheart?" one asked with a greasy smile. "Need help finding your way? We can take you wherever you want."

Their voices made Tifa turn sharply. Seeing their sleazy expressions, she instinctively stepped back and raised her fists.

"Who are you? What do you want?"

"Relax, we're just trying to show you a good time."

The taller one reached toward her.

Bad move.

They'd picked the wrong target.

Tifa wasn't some helpless damsel.

As one of the top students of Zangan, founder of the Zangan-Ryu martial arts school, she had trained since her teens. Even during the worst times working off her debts by selling buns in the slums she had never let her skills rust.

Drunkards, thugs, punks none of them ever got near her.

This time would be no different.

Her expression turned serious. Just as she was about to launch a punch that would send the guy flying

Someone beat her to it.

A heavy fist connected squarely with the thug's jaw, warping his face and sending him crashing to the ground.

Ethan stood calmly before the second man, who now trembled uncontrollably.

"Get lost," Ethan said coldly.

"Y-yessir!" The coward didn't hesitate, hauling his unconscious buddy off the ground and fleeing as fast as his legs could carry him.

Only when they disappeared did Ethan turn to Tifa, studying this so-called "Jerusalem of the 3D Realm," the legendary internet waifu brought to life.

"You alright?"

"I'm fine." Tifa smiled gratefully. "Thanks for the save."

"I'm guessing you didn't need it," Ethan said, glancing at her toned, muscular waist. "That core strength looks serious. You a fighter?"

"I am. Zangan-Ryu martial arts," Tifa replied proudly. She rose on her toes. "I'm stronger than I look."

"Good to know. Just be careful. This town's got its fair share of pickpockets, thieves, even pirates. Not exactly the safest place."

With that, Ethan gave her a friendly wave, as if ready to walk off.

"Wait."

As expected, she called out to him.

He turned. "Something else?"

Tifa furrowed her brows, hesitating. "I think I'm lost. Can you tell me where I am?"

...

"This isn't my world anymore?!"

Inside a seaside tavern's private room, Tifa slammed her hands on the table in disbelief. Her movement made her chest bounce noticeably like two angry snow slimes jiggling in protest.

"Hard to accept, huh?" Ethan said gently. "You're not alone. All of us me, and those two as well came from different worlds."

"That's right," 2B nodded. "I detected a human signal while on a mission. That's how I ended up here."

"I triggered a magic circle hidden in an ancient notebook," Mona added.

"I can't believe this," Tifa muttered, collapsing into her seat. Her eyes lost focus, and she slumped over the table. "I finally paid off my debts... took over the bar... I was about to start a new life. And now... this?"

"I know how that feels," Ethan said softly. "Losing everything, having to start over... We've all been there."

From their conversation, Ethan learned that Tifa had only just taken over the Seventh Heaven bar. Which meant the Final Fantasy VII storyline hadn't even begun yet.

That was a good thing. It meant he could avoid dealing with certain... complications.
