One Piece: My Name is Jack, I'm Very Resistant to Beating

Chapter 204: Chapter 205: I Just Want to Be Beaten to Death or Kill You All

Inside the cave, Shanks clapped Lucky Roux on the shoulder with a hearty laugh.

"Oi, Lucky! We're counting on you later. I heard Mihawk brought me a few bottles of fine liquor."

"We have to throw a feast today, so try not to sneak too much food!"

Lucky Roux swallowed a large bite of roasted meat before replying righteously,

"If I don't eat my fill first, how am I supposed to have the strength to cook for you guys?"

"Besides, I'm not sneaking food—I'm taste-testing! It's a chef's rightful privilege!"

"You bastard..."

Thud, thud, thud...

Before Shanks could say more, a flurry of hurried footsteps approached. Several sentries from the harbor burst in, their faces pale with alarm. Spotting Shanks, they immediately shouted,

"Captain! Bad news! Mihawk's been stopped near the harbor!"

"The fight's already started, and it's intense! None of us dare get close!"

"What?!"

Shanks' expression darkened as he barked, "Who the hell has the guts to cause trouble on Red-Haired Pirates' turf?!"

"We don't know, Captain! But it's a giant bird engulfed in flames! It can breathe fire!"

"A giant burning bird? That spits fire?"

Hearing this, Shanks rubbed his chin thoughtfully before turning to his crew.

"Interesting! Let's go check it out!"

"Looks like we've got another brave challenger seeking me out!"

"Hahahaha!"

Mihawk, usually composed and cold, was seething with rage. He gripped his massive black blade tightly, his mustache twitching as he bellowed at the figure in the sky.

"Get down here! Now!"

"I swear, I'll cut you in half!"

"Heh..."

Spit!

Jack sneered and hocked a burning glob of spit at Mihawk. The flaming projectile was slashed apart instantly, but Mihawk retaliated with a powerful flying slash. Jack, however, nimbly twisted his body to avoid it, making Mihawk's eyes burn with fury.

"You bastard! Weren't you the one who never dodges?!"

"Get down here! I'm cutting you in half!"

"Heh..."

Spit! Spit! Spit!

Jack rained down another series of fiery projectiles, forcing Mihawk to dodge. Watching Mihawk scramble, Jack smirked and said lazily,

"What, I'm not allowed to dodge against someone as rude as you?"

"Don't think I didn't see it—you pissed on your own hand earlier."

"And you're still holding your sword with it!"

"You expect me not to dodge? I may not be a clean freak, but that's just nasty!"

"You...!"

Mihawk's gaze flickered to his beloved coffin boat—now reduced to a floating wreck, only the cross-shaped mast remaining. His heart bled at the sight.

That damn thing was a masterpiece, custom-built by a master craftsman! It blended aesthetics and physics, allowing him to sail thirty kilometers! And this bastard had just destroyed it!

Mihawk was furious, but with Jack airborne, he was at a complete disadvantage.

The fireballs Jack spat weren't just powerful—they were scorching hot. The craters left by the blasts were glowing red, and Mihawk had no intention of taking a direct hit.

Even worse, Jack had clearly grown stronger. His control over distance was precise, making Mihawk's attacks ineffective while he continued his relentless fiery assault.

It was humiliating. When had Dracule Mihawk ever been pushed to such an embarrassing state?

Gritting his teeth, Mihawk sidestepped another fireball and unleashed another slash.

Buzz!

This time, the attack was wider and faster than before—Mihawk had gone all out.

But just before the slash could land, Jack opened his mouth and exhaled a massive wave of flames, colliding head-on with Mihawk's attack.

BOOM!

As the explosion cleared, Jack remained unscathed, while Mihawk took the chance to grip his sword with both hands and leap into the air, slashing down fiercely.

"Take this—Bird's Claw!"

Clang!

Boom!

The sheer force sent Mihawk tumbling midair before he landed back on the ground. Just as he prepared to strike again, both he and Jack suddenly turned toward the newcomers entering the battlefield.

"Hahahaha!"

"Mihawk, it's rare to see you looking so pathetic!"

Shanks grinned, teasing his old rival. But when Mihawk, his face grave, ignored him entirely, Shanks awkwardly turned to look at the massive flaming bird above.

"Oh? What a beautiful creature..."

"A Devil Fruit user, huh?"

Staring at the majestic Jack circling above, Shanks shouted,

"So, you're here to challenge me!"

"Who are you? A pirate? A bounty hunter? An adventurer?"

Jack lowered his voice, smirking. "My name... is Daddy."

"And my reason for being here, of course, is to witness the great Captain Shanks in action."

"Hahahaha! A fan of mine, huh?"

"Daddy, is it?"

Shanks studied the flaming Suzaku with intrigue, his excitement growing.

"Tell me, Daddy-san, would you be interested in joining the Red-Haired Pirates?"

Shanks, however, failed to notice his crew—including Mihawk and Beckman—staring at him as if he were an idiot. The moment he extended the invitation, Mihawk finally lost his patience and roared,

"Are you a moron?!"

"Can't you tell he's mocking you?!"

"Doesn't his voice sound the least bit familiar?!"

"Huh..."

Shanks stroked his chin, deep in thought. "Now that you mention it..."

He raised his head and called out, "Oi! Who the hell are you really?!"

"Like I said—I'm your Daddy, my dear son."

Jack shifted into his hybrid form, revealing his human face. Flapping his wings, he grinned down at Shanks.

"It's been a while, son. Daddy's missed you."

"You...!"

Shanks' serious expression made Jack think he was about to launch an attack—but what came next nearly sent him crashing into the sea.

"Damn, you look cool!"

"Oi, how the hell did you do that?! Weren't you supposed to have an Elephant Zoan?!"

...The hell?! This guy's a goddamn idiot!

Jack steadied himself and, seeing the rest of the Red-Haired Pirates eyeing him warily, yelled,

"Your crew's a lot more reliable than you, Shanks!"

"Doesn't seem like we're exactly on friendly terms, huh?"

Hearing this, Shanks' expression grew serious. "Oh? Then what exactly is your reason for coming here?"

"My reason?"

Jack glanced at the sea—at Mihawk's half-destroyed coffin boat. Slowly, he descended, shifting back to his human form.

"I have only one goal today."

"Either you all beat me to death..."

"Or I'll kill every last one of you."

"Bring the ship closer!"
