Chapter 8: EXTRA 1
**Unity Under the Legend of the King**
Years passed, and the island that once trembled under the greatness of the King of Beasts found a new normal. Without his direct rule, the animals began to follow their own paths, but always with an invisible bond that united them. Each group, each clan, remembered the words the king had left them: "Be strong, be united, and no force will break you."
Under the guidance of the leaders the king had chosen before leaving, the creatures of the jungle continued to prosper, but they never forgot their past, nor their sovereign. Every day, in the heart of the island, a sacred place was visited by members of all tribes: the great tree where the king had given his last command. Every year, a ceremony was held in that place to celebrate his memory.
During the **Festival of the Legend**, the animals gathered to tell stories about the king. Each clan told its own version of how the king had changed their lives, of how they had found unity under his guidance. **Galdar the Deer**, for example, remembered how the king had stopped a battle between his kin and convinced them to live in peace, uniting lands that had once been divided. **Nyx the Owl** recounted how the king was capable of seeing and hearing even the voices of the jungle spirits, and how every decision he made was guided by a deep understanding of the natural balance.
**White**, the wolf, became the main narrator of the ceremony. Every year, with his deep and solemn voice, he told the story of the king, reminding the other animals of the importance of staying united. "Never forget," he said, "that if today we are free to live in peace, it is thanks to the will of our sovereign, who chose to sacrifice his own tranquility for our protection."
Animals of all kinds gathered with hearts full of pride and nostalgia. Every passing generation continued to tell the same story, so that the young ones could know the greatness of their past. Even as times changed and new threats emerged from the outside, the unity the king had created among the tribes remained unbreakable.
The traditions passed down grew stronger over time. The great **Tree of Legend**, under which the king had uttered his farewell words, became a sacred symbol. Every animal that passed under its branches stopped for a moment of silence, as a sign of respect for the king's memory. His statue, erected by the leaders of the various tribes, was kept in the heart of the jungle, and at each ceremony, the animals gathered to lay colorful flower crowns at its feet, as a tribute to his greatness.
Even the rules set by the king were never forgotten. Each clan, while maintaining its independence, followed a code that respected the natural balance, peaceful coexistence, and mutual protection. The jungle continued to prosper, but not without the awareness that the unity, strength, and wisdom that had built their kingdom were the legacy of their sovereign. Every animal, large or small, always remembered the king's words: "Unity is our true strength. Never let fear or hatred divide you."
Even on the darkest nights, when the stars shone above the island, the animals felt the presence of their king. His legend, fueled by the stories of every generation, resonated through the forests like a wind that carried with it the memory of a glorious past. Every rustle among the trees, every whisper in the wind, seemed to speak of him, and all knew that, though he was no longer physically with them, the king lived in the hearts of all.
As the centuries passed, the island became a place of mystery and legend for anyone who dared approach. Travelers and adventurers were drawn to the story of the King of Beasts, but no one dared set foot on the island. The animals had now developed their own language, a silent tongue that communicated among them through dreams and the wind. In the stories passed down, the king was described as an enigmatic figure, capable of transforming and commanding the forces of nature. No one knew if he was still alive, but every generation knew that his wisdom would continue to guide them, like a distant lighthouse in the darkness.
And so, the King of Beasts was never forgotten. His legend became the foundation of the island, an eternal presence that kept unity, balance, and peace alive among the creatures who had learned to live as one great family.
