One Piece: Starting in God Valley as a Slave

Chapter 238: Chapter 238: The Awakening of Logia Powers!

In the Edwar Sea, Carl and Roger had withdrawn their respective Conqueror's Haki, their gazes locked in mutual understanding.

Each man held a similar thought— he's grown stronger.

Carl found this unsurprising, after all, Roger had become the Pirate King in the eyes of the world. His aura naturally grew more commanding. Moreover, Roger had reached Laugh Tale, the legendary island. Who knew what he might have discovered?

Roger, on the other hand, speculated that Carl had been quietly training during this time. How else could his power have grown so drastically?

In truth, Carl had been training. But his method, if revealed, would surely make others spit blood in envy.

His training? Sleeping.

As long as the power in Carl's right arm wasn't fully drained, simply sleeping made him stronger. It was both absurd and enviable.

When the suffocating pressure of their Conqueror's Haki finally dissipated from the sea, the once-rowdy pirates fell silent. Despite Roger shielding most from Carl's overwhelming aura, some still collapsed unconscious from the residual force.

The surrounding sea, teeming with pirate ships and Navy warships, became deathly quiet. Then, a massive shadow began to emerge from the water, advancing steadily toward the Navy fleet.

Just as the shadow loomed beneath a warship, Carl narrowed his eyes. Lifting a hand, a vortex of darkness appeared in his palm.

"Universal Pull."

Under the terrifying gravitational force, massive columns of water spiraled upward, dragging out the shadowy behemoth.

When the creature's true form was revealed, everyone gasped in shock.

It was a giant—but not just any giant. This one stood nearly 200 meters tall, dwarfing even the Navy's tallest giants, who barely reached 12 meters. Compared to this colossal figure, they were like infants.

Carl clenched his fist slightly, demonstrating mastery over the Dark-Dark Fruit's gravitational power. He effortlessly suspended the gigantic creature in midair.

This sight was even more shocking than the giant's size. A man holding a 200-meter-tall behemoth aloft with pure power left everyone awestruck.

The giant, struggling midair, looked almost comical with his round, turtle-like body. His mind seemed slow, and his voice boomed like thunder as he mumbled,

"Strange... I was in the sea, wasn't I? How did I end up in the sky? Captain Roger, help me..."

On the Oro Jackson, Roger's expression darkened as he looked at the giant floating above.

"That idiot!" he growled. "I told him to wait until the battle started. Now look—he's fallen into Carl's hands."

Rayleigh sighed, speaking in a low voice. "He's never been the sharpest tool in the shed. What now? Should we try to save him?"

Before Roger could respond, Carl sneered. With a flick of his wrist, the giant was hurled above the pirate fleet.

Then, Carl's ability vanished.

The massive body of the giant, Sanjuan Wolf, plummeted toward the pirate ships like a falling mountain. Roger's pupils contracted as he leapt into action, unleashing a powerful wave of Haki that struck the giant and diverted him back toward Carl.

Carl smirked, his hand gripping the cursed sword Muramasa. A sinister black gleam flashed in his eyes as he swung the blade.

A wave of black sword energy cut through the air, slicing cleanly through the giant.

In the next moment, before the crowd's horrified eyes, the mountain-sized body of Sanjuan Wolf was bisected. Blood poured like waterfalls, staining the ocean red.

The grotesque scene was enough to make those watching vomit, even through a screen. For those present, it was far worse.

SPLASH!

The two halves of Sanjuan Wolf's body crashed into the sea, sending massive waves surging. Roger's face turned grim as regret gnawed at him. If he had known, he would have redirected Wolf elsewhere.

Wolf could have been a devastating weapon against the Navy's main forces, emerging from the sea when least expected. Now, he was nothing but a grotesque spectacle.

Carl looked down at the mangled remains floating in the bloodied sea. His voice was calm, tinged with mockery.

"Trash of the sea, living up to the name."

Then, lifting his gaze to the pirates, he added coldly:

"And so are you."

The pirates bristled with anger but dared not retort. Instead, they cast uneasy glances toward Roger, their leader.

Roger's face darkened further as he gripped his sword, Ace, pointing it at Carl.

"Kill!"

At his command, the pirates sprang into action. Ships surged forward under the cover of cannon fire, heading straight for the Navy warships.

On the Navy side, Aramaki raised his hands, unleashing a forest of vines that wove into a massive green net, intercepting the cannonballs.

Meanwhile, Akainu roared, his magma-covered arms hurling fiery projectiles into the sky.

"Meteor Volcano!"

As molten rain poured down, Aokiji froze the sea with a wave of Ice Age, immobilizing the advancing pirate ships. Trapped in the ice, the vessels became sitting targets for Akainu's lava, leading to their fiery destruction.

Amidst the chaos, the Oro Jackson remained still, Roger's expression unreadable. For him, the lives of the lesser pirates meant little. He merely protected his own ship from the falling magma.

Around the Oro Jackson, several pirate ships lingered, their crews watching the chaos with mocking smiles. Unlike the cannon fodder, they had no intention of charging blindly. They knew that until the real powerhouses moved, rushing in was suicide.

Piracy required brains, after all.

On the Navy side, Borsalino watched his fellow Marines wreak havoc, his hands casually tucked in his pockets.

"Oh~ Everyone's so motivated," he drawled, his voice lazy. "Looks like I won't have much to do."

His gaze shifted toward the Oro Jackson, settling on Roger.

"Take down the captain, and the rest will fall..."
