Chapter 48: CHAPTER 48
There were muffled sounds like rolling thunder one after another. The waves were raging, the ground cracked, and landslides rumbled through the Valley of the Gods.
Caesar was not in a hurry to join the battle but had been watching from a distance. He could clearly see that Whitebeard, Golden Lion, and the others were deliberately holding back in their battle against CP0. As expected, they were not using their full strength.
"I'll take care of those scumbags!" Brad exclaimed. As the battle intensified, he shook off his nervousness, jumped forward, and kicked several Marine soldiers away.
Gliner, full of enthusiasm, raised his fists, displaying a domineering and armed presence, as he fought with a rear admiral. His fighting talent was evident, as he was able to overpower the admiral.
"Don't get too involved," Caesar warned in a low voice.
With a swift motion, Caesar drew the He Dao sword and casually swung it forward. A powerful sword wave, purple-black with the force of his armed haki, surged forward, invisible but solid, cutting straight ahead.
The two Marine Commodores were shocked and hurriedly dodged to the sides.
"Boom!" A muffled sound echoed.
The sword energy cut a massive gully into the earth, stretching far into the distance.
"This guy has such strong sword energy!" a Marine muttered.
"Is he one of Rocks' cadres? The newcomer, Caesar?"
"Be careful!"
The Marines, cooperating with several CP0 agents, surrounded Caesar.
---
The intense sounds of battle in the distance finally attracted the attention of the Celestial Dragons, who were located in the heart of the Valley of the Gods.
"These damn pirates actually dare to attack?" one of them cried out in panic.
"You dog slaves! Get us out of here! Escort us to safety!" the Celestial Dragons shouted angrily, pointing at the CP0 members who were supposed to be protecting them. The landslides and intense pressure from the air caused them to panic.
Meanwhile, a distress signal was quickly sent to Mariejois.
"Damn! The Rocks Pirates! They've actually attacked the Valley of the Gods!"
"Attacking a Celestial Dragon is the worst crime! Unforgivable!"
"Contact the Navy Headquarters immediately! Tell them to send reinforcements right away!"
"Also, contact all CP0 agents near the Valley of the Gods. They need to assist immediately!"
The call quickly reached Marineford. Inside the Marshal's office, Admiral Sengoku was anxiously awaiting news. He froze when he received the call from the Five Elders.
"Yes! Understood!" Sengoku said, his voice tense. "The fleet has already been sent to support the Valley of the Gods. I'll send more immediately!"
After hanging up the Den Den Mushi, Sengoku quickly summoned the generals and vice admirals of the Navy.
At the same time, in the waters near the Valley of the Gods, the Roger Pirates' ships finally appeared after days of sailing and exploration.
"Boom! Boom!"
[64] Roger Pirates Join the Battle! Rocks Under Siege
On the deck of the ship, Roger and Rayleigh stood side by side, watching the sky to the left. Loud noises echoed from that direction, along with the presence of many powerful auras.
"It looks like we were right!" Roger said. "The Valley of the Gods is in that direction!"
"Everyone, full speed ahead! We need to stop that bastard Rocks!" Roger raised his sword, pointing towards the source of the commotion. The sails swelled as the ship surged forward.
After a while, the island came into view.
"Hmph… finally found it!" Roger grinned.
Meanwhile, on the Valley of the Gods, the powerful figures in battle sensed the powerful auras approaching from the sea.
Everyone paused in shock, retreating momentarily as they faced the incoming threat.
"This aura…" Garp muttered, looking in the direction of the approaching power. His face turned grim as he immediately recognized the strongest aura coming from the sea.
The CP0 powerhouses also sensed the presence and prepared for battle.
Opposite Garp and the CP0 agents, Rocks grinned, his lips curling upwards. "Hmph… so he's still coming, after all?"
---
"Bahahahahaha!" Rocks laughed loudly. "Garp, looks like today's not your day."
"Hand over the Celestial Dragons!"
Rocks turned his attention back to the beach, grinning at Garp, clearly overjoyed. With Roger's arrival, his victory was now even more certain.
"Whatever the Navy does today is futile," he continued. "Once I defeat you, Garp, I'll kill the Celestial Dragons here and officially declare war on the World Government!"
"Don't even think about it!" Garp growled, his fists wrapped in armed haki. With a sudden burst, he attacked Rocks once more.
"Boom!" A massive, destructive punch struck the ground, creating a crater over 30 meters wide, but Rocks had already dodged to the side, unharmed.
Garp quickly shifted his stance and prepared for another attack.
---
"Really stupid…" Rocks muttered, his playful smile vanishing. His expression became serious, his eyes cold and cruel. His body blurred as he appeared before Garp, fists colliding in a powerful clash.
"Boom!" The shockwave of their impact sent a purple-black lightning blast into the air, flattening the nearby vegetation and rocks.
The two broke apart, shadows of themselves left in place, quickly closing the distance for a renewed fight.
---
After several exchanges, Rocks landed firmly, shaking slightly. Garp staggered back a few steps but stood his ground.
"Hahahahaha!" A booming voice echoed from behind them.
Everyone turned to find the Roger Pirates had arrived.
Leading them was Roger, his burly frame imposing. Behind him stood Vice-Captain Silvers Rayleigh, the navigator Shanks, and other powerful crewmates, each radiating a strong aura.
The strength of their crew was on par with the Rocks Pirates or the Navy.
The tension between the Rocks Pirates and the Navy momentarily halted.
"Bahahahahaha! So you're here, Roger!" Rocks grinned widely.
He assumed Roger had come for the same reason— to eliminate the Celestial Dragons and overthrow the World Government.
"Since we're after the same goal, why not join me? Together, we can rebuild a huge kingdom!" Rocks said, opening his arms in a warm invitation.
The CP0 agents and Garp looked at Roger with grim expressions. If these two top pirate crews joined forces, the world would be turned upside down.
Roger, however, simply smiled.
"Who told you I came here to work with you, Rocks?"
"I already told you, even if the World Government is overthrown, it won't be you who does it."
"Huh?" Rocks' smile vanished, and his face darkened.
"Since you're not interested in joining me, what are you here for?" Rocks asked, his tone cold and demanding.
