One Piece : Winged Dragons of the Beast Pirates

Chapter 179: Chapter 114.2 : Bao Huang!!

As they approached Wano, the fish-men and merfolk aboard the ship couldn't resist stepping onto the deck, curiously observing this unfamiliar island.

Was this the place where they would live from now on?

The towering cliffs of Wano immediately left them deeply awestruck—something that could never be seen on Fish-Man Island.

This was the land!

Such towering land!

Thinking about living here in the future, the fish-men and merfolk couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement.

And this anticipation reached its peak as they rode the massive elevator upward.

Because there were so many people, the elevator had to make several trips to transport all the Fish-Men and Merfolk up to the mainland of Wano Country.

Then, as they stepped out of the underwater port and finally laid eyes on the land of Wano, many Fish-Men and Merfolk burst into tears on the spot. Some even couldn't help but kneel down and kiss the ground.

This was the land their ancestors had longed for.

Now, they had finally fulfilled the wishes of their forebears.

"Ian."

A figure stood outside the underwater port.

"Yo, Uncle King!"

Ian greeted him with a smile. "Have their accommodations been arranged?"

This uncle had come to welcome the Fish-Men.

"There are plenty of submerged ruins near Onigashima. Some are still usable,"

Uncle King said, "but they'll likely need to do some repairs themselves."

Ian nodded lightly. "That's not a problem at all."

No matter how well-preserved they might be, those buildings were still eight centuries old.

And since they were underwater, even the Beasts Pirates couldn't undertake the construction.

Thus, the Fish-Men would have to rely on their own efforts.

They probably wouldn't mind.

King turned his head, looking at the families of Fish-Men and Merfolk who had arrived with a hint of unease still on their faces. He couldn't help but say,

"Ian, well done."

These newcomers from Fish-Man Island could provide immense support to the Beasts Pirates.

"This is just the beginning,"

Ian said. "If they can live well in Wano Country, it might encourage even more Fish-Men and Merfolk to come here. If that happens, in just a few years, Wano Country could become a second Fish-Man Island."

It might even replace the original Fish-Man Island entirely, becoming the true homeland for the Fish-Men and Merfolk.

"So, Uncle King, you know what to do, right?"

King nodded lightly. "Kaido-sama asked me to personally handle this matter. Whoever dares to lay a hand on them, will die."

"Very good."

Ian clapped his hands. "By the way, what about the Tontatta tribe? Where are they?"

"They've been settled in the Forest of Kyūri."

King said, "The Devil Fruit you're looking for was found with their help."

"Oh?"

Ian was pleasantly surprised. "Has it already been found?"

"Yes."

King nodded. "Kaido-sama had Bao Huang eat it."

Bao Huang?

She was a girl who had only recently joined, about ten years old, but she didn't often play with Ian and the others because she wasn't a combatant. Instead, she was Kaido's secretary.

It seemed like, fifteen years later, she would still look like a little girl. Kaido, I really didn't know you were this type of person.

"Not bad."

Ian nodded lightly. As a Millet Fruit user, Bao Huang didn't need to go to the front lines. Staying by Kaido's side was much safer.

"Has it been tested?"

King nodded lightly. "I experimented with it using the beasts from Wano Country. The results were good. After feeding them the dumplings made by Bao Huang, they completely obeyed her commands."

Wano Country also had quite a few fierce beasts, but of course, their quality couldn't compare to those from Rusukaina Island.

"The Kuja Pirates have already started helping us capture the beasts."

Ian said. "Umit will help transport them. It should still take some time. When the time comes, it will depend on Bao Huang."

"Let's hope those beasts are as strong as you say."

Uncle King snorted lightly.

Otherwise, providing protection for Amazon Lily could be a huge loss. What's a Kuja Pirate group worth?

Ian only chuckled.

Even without those beasts, protecting the Kuja Pirates would still be worth it. One Hancock alone was more than enough.

"Leave the mermaids and fishmen to you, Uncle King. I'll head back to Onigashima."

Since Kaido had entrusted Uncle King with the mermaids and fishmen, Ian was happy to relax.

He promptly completed the handover and let the still confused immigrants follow Uncle King, then Ian led his companions back to Onigashima.

Oh, and with them was also a fishman army of over a thousand soldiers.

As usual, when they looked out at Onigashima from the sea, Hancock and her sisters were quite amazed.

"What's that, the skull left behind by a giant?"

Hancock guessed.

After all, Onigashima's shape really didn't seem natural.

"Who knows?"

Ian smiled.

In the local legends of Wano, Onigashima was said to be the massive head of a demon, which was dropped here by a brave warrior and eventually transformed into the island.

But now, this country has no samurai, so this legend is no longer mentioned.

As they neared Onigashima, they hadn't even docked yet.

Ian heard a rumbling sound.

He looked up, and a metal bird flew past above the ship, producing a sharp whistling sound.

"Oh!"

Ian immediately exclaimed in surprise, "Did it succeed?"

Before leaving Onigashima, the aircraft could only circle a few times in the air before it would crash.

But now, was it actually able to leave Onigashima and fly over the sea?

Uncle Queen, I really didn't misjudge you.

"What's that?"

Hancock was once again surprised.

It was impossible not to be surprised.

This thing had nothing to do with the mainstream technology of the sea—it was from an entirely different era.

"It's called an airplane, right Ian?"

Yamato grinned and glanced at Hancock, "This is the weapon Ian had Uncle Queen develop."

Hancock immediately clenched her fists.

Damn that white-haired girl!

Just because she had lived with Ian for more than ten years, huh?

You wait!

But Ian's attention was already fully focused on the flying machine in the sky.

If this plane was already ready for combat, the Golden Dragon could instantly turn into an aircraft carrier.

The ship docked, and Ian couldn't wait to disembark.

"Hahaha! You came back at the right time, kid!"

At the port, Uncle Queen laughed heartily, "Did you see my latest masterpiece?"

"It looks really good!"

Ian gazed at the metal bird that was already returning, "What's the data?"

Uncle Queen quickly spat out a string of data, "The fastest flying speed is 500 kilometers per hour, the highest altitude is 8,000 meters, the maximum range is 1,000 kilometers, and the maximum weight it can carry is nearly one ton."

The more Ian listened, the brighter his eyes became. This was already approaching the level of World War II fighter jets from his previous life.

"I can't think of any more improvements for now," Uncle Queen chuckled. "If there's a breakthrough in energy, perhaps we could take it even further."

"Then let's prepare for mass production."

Ian said. "Build a factory specifically for producing fighter jets."

"Mu hahahaha! Of course!"

Uncle Queen laughed heartily.

He was finally ahead of Judge in making progress!

Then Ian reminded him, "Since the airplane research is almost finished, Uncle Queen, you can start the development of underwater weapons now. The Fish-Man army is already in place."

"You brat!"

Uncle Queen immediately puffed up his cheeks and glared, "Are you giving orders to me?"

In such a short time, he hadn't even visited Flower Street much.

Just then, an iron bird descended from the sky, slowly landing at the port.

A man jumped off the iron bird.

"Oh?"

Ian was a bit surprised.

"Lord Ian, you've returned."

The man nodded at Ian, greeting him calmly and peacefully.

"Drake, huh,"

Ian smiled and waved at him. After not seeing him for a while, this guy had grown even taller, now looking like a young man around seventeen or eighteen, truly a freak of growth like Coby.

"Why is it you?"

"This kid's been pretty active recently."

Uncle Queen pursed his lips. "His strength's been increasing fast."

"I see?"

Ian smiled at Drake. "So, I guess you've fully adapted to life here now?"

Drake smiled and gently nodded.

"Big Brother Ian!"

Cheers came from the door.

Ulti and her younger brother ran over.

A little brat with yellow hair followed behind them.

"Big Brother Ian!"

Ian raised an eyebrow.

Is this kid, Sanji, about to cry?
