Chapter 198
Since their last phone call, Ryuya, with Vivi in his arms, had activated the Eight Gates Formation and flown towards Arabasta at breakneck speed.
Using Geppo, he reached Arabasta within a single day.
Vivi had slept soundly in his arms during the journey.
He woke her only upon arrival. She opened her eyes to the unfolding chaos.
Ryuya instantly grasped the situation.
"Looks like we arrived just in time," he murmured, his voice low and serious.
All eyes turned to him, particularly Koza's, now filled with anger.
"Who are you?!" Koza demanded.
Ryuya ignored the question, instead addressing Crocodile.
"Crocodile, I didn't expect such a complex scheme.
It's quite impressive, but unfortunately, I'm here now, and your game is over."
Ryuya raised his arm. In an instant, a condensed blade of energy materialized before everyone.
It moved with incredible speed, slicing the screen in half before anyone could react.
The screen crashed to the ground.
But the crowd was even more stunned by what was revealed behind the screen: another Cobra!
Koza and his rebels were frozen in disbelief.
They couldn't comprehend the scene before them—two identical kings.
Ryuya, with his peak medical skills, instantly assessed Cobra's injuries.
"Shave!"
In a blur of motion, he appeared before Cobra, his hands moving like phantoms.
He swiftly removed the impaling objects from Cobra's arms and applied pressure to staunch the bleeding.
"Stay still. Don't move. I'll handle the rest," Ryuya said.
Cobra, struggling to keep his eyes open, looked at Ryuya, his heart sinking. He recognized him: Zero, the leader of the Dawn Bird.
Normally, Zero's appearance would have been shocking, but not terrifying.
However, his arrival with Vivi sparked unease.
Weakened and unable to stand, Cobra felt helpless.
Seeing her father's plight, Vivi rushed to his side, tears welling up.
Time seemed to stand still. Crocodile, observing the scene, showed a flicker of apprehension.
The palace was frozen in silence.
Koza, snapping out of his delusion, looked at the two identical Cobras.
He turned to Vivi, "Vivi, what's going on here?"
Vivi's gaze burned with resentment.
"You people are blind to my father's dedication! You only see your own gain, failing to recognize Crocodile's scheme!"
She turned to Koza, "Especially you, Koza. I thought you'd see through this, but you actually participated in this!"
Vivi stood, her eyes heavy with sorrow.
"Do you think you're great? Do you think you're heroes saving the people? No! You're wrong! You're merely tools—Crocodile's tools!"
Vivi turned to Crocodile, who burst into laughter.
His gaze darkened as he said, "I never expected you to bring Zero! If I could, I would have killed you already!"
Crocodile's eyes shifted to Ryuya, wary of his every move. He knew Zero's terrifying power.
But he was Crocodile, the man who dared challenge Whitebeard!
He wouldn't give up now, especially when he was on the verge of controlling Arabasta.
"Zero," Crocodile said, "I don't know what deal you made with her, but whatever it is, once I control this country, I can help you achieve your goals!"
A smirk played on the corner of Ryuya's mouth, hidden beneath his cloak.
"Oh really?" Ryuya's low voice echoed through the palace.
Vivi's heart sank. She had risked everything.
If Ryuya betrayed her, they would be utterly lost.
"Leader, if you'll end this war, I'll agree to all previous conditions! I'll serve you forever, join the Dawn Bird, and make Arabasta a tributary state of the Dawn Bird!"
Ryuya waved his hand dismissively. "Don't worry, I keep my word. And besides, it's just a Shichibukai. I can defeat him easily."
"So, no room for negotiation?" Crocodile asked.
Before Ryuya could answer, Crocodile used his Logia powers to launch his poisoned hook at Ryuya with incredible speed.
The golden hook glowed purple, a menacing sight. But Ryuya barely registered the attack.
To everyone's astonishment, he simply reached out his hand…
