Chapter 33: It Has a Name

To enter the East Blue from the Grand Line, there are very few viable routes.

The most controlled and heavily monitored is, without a doubt, the direct crossing through the Red Line, under the absolute dominion of the World Government and, therefore, an impenetrable line for anyone who does not enjoy their favor. However, there existed a second route, almost suicidal for anyone: entering directly into the Calm Belt.

But for Tiberion, the Calm Belt posed no danger. Not even a nuisance.

With the Sea Kings by his side—creatures so colossal that the smallest of them could crush a warship with a single breath—this silent sea became his backyard leading straight to the East Blue.

A full dozen Sea Kings were personally escorting them at this moment.

Marine creatures with shapes and colors so diverse they were impossible to describe simply, but all shared one common trait: their size exceeded the conceivable.

All measured more than three kilometers in length from the tip of the snout to the end of the tail, with bodies wider than several highways lined up.

Others, like the imposing black octopus that was transporting them, had a central body over five hundred meters in diameter and tentacles that snaked beneath the sea, gently coiling around the ship without damaging it.

That very octopus was the one transporting them at this moment. In front of it, three creatures with serpentine bodies and heads strangely similar to those of dragons cleared the way. Behind, two whale-like creatures, dark blue with silver stripes, swam calmly, making sure no threat followed them.

And others followed as guards.

"It is an honor for us to personally escort the Queen."

"This time we owe a great deal to the cousin from the Sabaody waters for having chosen us. Otherwise, we wouldn't have had the chance for the Queen to notice us."

"Yes! And we didn't even know the Queen could already communicate with us without issue. It seems something big is about to happen…"

"But... who is that human? I feel like the Queen obeys him in everything. This is not a good sign…"

"To be honest, from what I know, that honorable human is... he is the Queen's partner."

"You all heard it too—our Queen calls him husband…"

"Husband…?" ×6

"I see! So that was the meaning!"

"Although I don't know if that human is worthy of our Queen. After all, our Queen is born only once every eight hundred years…"

"Whoever gains the Queen's favor can reach the summit, rule the seas, and always have our support."

At that moment, the octopus with the best view interrupted the conversation with an alert:

"Attention! Ahead lies a dense mist that never dissipates, a zone where lightning constantly flashes. But do not worry, I will go around it."

The pirates on board, under the absolute command of Tiberion, had crossed for seven consecutive days the immense and calm maritime belt known as the Calm Belt.

And although at first they all felt a reverential fear toward the man who had mercilessly decapitated their former crewmates, that fear had now transformed into something else and, somehow: a complete submission that bordered on worship.

During those days, each of them had been a direct witness to a power that defied everything—of scenes they never would have imagined living through, not even in the wildest drunken stories.

Who could maintain their arrogance after seeing more than a dozen Sea Kings, each kilometers long, escorting with utmost respect the ship they were sailing on?

Who could not submit to the one who received the obedience of these monsters?!

And then, this morning, as the sun barely began to rise, the sea turned strange.

Ahead of them appeared a zone covered by a thick and dense fog, of a grayish-violet hue, like a floating wall that absorbed the sunlight.

It was a fog that reached the clouds, and so wide that its end could not be seen. It was no ordinary mist: electric sparks ran through it, and sporadic flashes of lightning zigzagged inside it.

The Sea Kings, who until that moment had been advancing calmly, veered slightly. Their colossal bodies slid sideways in sync, trying to go around the fog wall.

Tiberion, standing at the bow of the ship, observed their behavior carefully. Then he raised his gaze to Shirahoshi, who was at his side:

"Shirahoshi, ask them if there's a lightning zone inside."

?

The princess blinked, surprised, but nodded without hesitation. She closed her eyes, focused, and projected her will. The Sea Kings responded immediately, with evident unease in their thoughts. Shirahoshi opened her eyes and looked at her husband:

"Yes… yes, husband. They say… there is lightning inside. A lot. It's dangerous."

Upon hearing the confirmation, Tiberion formed a pleased expression.

"Perfect. Tell them not to avoid it. We'll go in. I want to test my body there."

"Yes, yes! Whatever my husband says, hehe!"

Shirahoshi responded without thinking, a pure smile on her lips. She didn't fully understand what it meant to "test oneself" with lightning, but she felt she had done the right thing, that once again she had helped her husband—and that feeling alone was enough to fill her heart with happiness.

"..."

The Sea Kings fell silent for a moment, exchanging thoughts among themselves, and it was the giant octopus—the one wrapping the ship in its tentacles—who finally spoke:

"Do you truly wish to enter, Queen? It is a place where electricity falls with such fury that some of us avoid it."

"..."

Shirahoshi remained quiet for a moment, then lowered her head slightly, a bit embarrassed:

"Ah… So lightning is really that dangerous? I didn't know… but… but my husband is very strong."

She took a breath and raised her voice with determination:

"Besides, I must obey him. He asked me to enter. I… want to do it for him!"

"..."

The Sea Kings once again looked at each other in confusion.

It was baffling to see how their Queen—the only creature born once every eight centuries, the only one capable of commanding them—was showing such docility before a mere human.

'Is this… love?'

'Our Queen… acting like this? As if she feared being rejected?'

'You are the Queen of the Seas. No human deserves your submission!'

But in the end, duty prevailed over opinion. The gigantic octopus moved its body.

"Cousin, let's go in. The orders of our Queen are above all else."

"Very well…" nodded the first Sea King summoned by Shirahoshi, "But if anything goes wrong… you'll be the sacrifice."

"…I understand. I have many tentacles; I can absorb some of the energy and redirect it into the water. With luck… we'll all survive."

The octopus was somewhat perplexed, but accepted without hesitation.

As the ship slowly entered the zone covered by the dense electric mist, the surroundings turned surreal.

The mist was not just any ordinary fog; it had an abnormal density, a humid and sticky texture that seemed to wrap everything like a membrane.

Visibility for some was reduced to just a few meters, and from time to time, a lightning bolt crossed like a bluish-white comet, flashing in silence—because in this place, strangely, they emitted no sound.

The silence was absolute.

The pirates, grouped together on the deck of the ship, were on the verge of hysteria.

Although after so many days with Tiberion they had stopped rebelling and accepted their roles as subordinates, at this moment they were nothing more than a bunch of children, clinging to one another.

One of them, trembling like a dry leaf, clung to his closest crewmate.

"Brother… hold me tight… I'm really scared."

"D-damn holding anything! If a lightning bolt hits us, we're all gonna die anyway," the other replied through gritted teeth.

"It doesn't matter! At least we'll die together… and if we become ghosts, let it be as a united crew!"

The other could only roll his eyes and sigh, too drained even to insult him.

Meanwhile, Shirahoshi, with her enormous yet delicate body, was settling herself inside the massive cabin.

The ship had a very spacious structure, with high ceilings and tall doors, large enough to allow her, at 11 meters tall, to enter comfortably.

At some point, Tiberion even considered the possibility that this ship might belong to the giants, but quickly dismissed it due to several inconsistencies.

The main room of the cabin had a clear central space from which Shirahoshi could observe everything through a half-opened door.

"Husband… can I stay at the door and watch you?" she asked, her huge eyes glowing with concern, and her voice trembling like that of a creature far too innocent for the world around her.

Tiberion, already standing at the center of the deck, turned to her with an unusual smile. That brief expression alone was enough to calm Shirahoshi completely.

"Of course you can."

"Hehehe…" she giggled, hiding half her face behind the door.

Then, in a single motion, Tiberion took off his shoes, shirt, and pants, and with a jump, soared to the top of the mast—about fifty meters above the deck.

He had already stripped off all his clothing. Only his tight red briefs remained—very tight.

The contrast between the minimal fabric and his massive body was impossible to ignore.

His muscles were grotesquely bulky and defined, every fiber densely packed against the next, as if there were no room for anything else. Veins marked his arms, chest, abdomen, and legs like thick roots.

In the middle of this apocalyptic scene, the pirates, huddled in the corners of the ship, their bodies so pressed together they could barely speak.

However, what they saw left them completely stunned: atop the mast stood Tiberion, shirtless, his skin glowing with a faint vapor from the thermal release of his body, and wearing only tight red briefs that left little to the imagination.

"Bro, that... that's not normal!"

"No f*cking way, that thing in his briefs is alive! It must have its own name!"

"I… I thought it was a red belt, but… IT'S HIS D*CK!"

"That damn thing is bigger than my leg!"

"Now I get why that giant mermaid fell in love with him! He must be massaging her heart from the inside…"

The pirates' eyes gleamed with horror and disbelief.

It was as if they had just discovered why their "captain" wasn't human.

From the deck, Shirahoshi was still peeking out from the doorway.

With her hands about to rip the door off and pleading eyes, she looked at Tiberion as if he were the sun itself.

She didn't fully understand what he was about to do, but she knew it was dangerous. And that's why, in silence, she prayed and smiled at the same time.

'Please, lightning, don't hurt my husband!'

The Sea Kings remained in a circle around the ship. Although they were used to all kinds of things, they couldn't hide their doubt. What that human was planning was something absurd even to them.

"Is he crazy?"

"A human body can't withstand something like that. He'll evaporate the moment the first lightning bolt hits!"

"But the Queen supports him… and he's smiling! As if he's happy to die!"

Even though they thought this, the Sea King who had been escorting them from Sabaody spoke:

"If the honorable human fails… divert the lightning into the sea."

"Don't worry, cousin, I'm ready to act at any moment."

Tiberion didn't wait any longer. His red mane, now slightly bristling from the static charge, flamed backward like a blaze.

He inhaled deeply, his chest expanding like that of a gorilla, and as he exhaled, a monstrous laugh burst from his throat.

"HAHAHAHAHA! COME, LIGHTNING!"

At that moment, as if his body were attracting all the fury of the mist, as if his very presence were a lightning rod, the bolts within a radius of several kilometers came crashing down all at once.
