Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Counterattack

Hei Hu barked an order, and a dozen black-clad bodyguards surged toward Chen Mo like a pack of wolves. Their weapons flashed, each strike vicious, aiming to tear Chen Mo to shreds.

Facing this perilous situation, Chen Mo remained remarkably calm. His eyes darted, his ears attuned, precisely predicting the trajectory of every enemy attack.

He moved like lightning. Amidst the flashing blades and the hail of bullets, he danced with a grace that belied the deadly intent of his opponents. He was a nimble swallow, flitting through a storm of steel.

"Bang!"

Chen Mo's fist connected with a bodyguard's chest, the force of the blow sending the man flying backward, crashing into a wall of his comrades.

"Crack!"

His mechanical arm, like a striking viper, snagged the wrist of another bodyguard, twisting with a sickening snap of bone.

"Aah!"

Screams erupted, one after another. In the blink of an eye, several bodyguards lay at Chen Mo's feet, writhing in pain.

"Useless! All of you are useless!"

Hei Hu roared, his face twisted in rage. "Get out of my way!"

He shoved aside the bodyguards blocking his path, drawing a black pistol from his waist and pointing it at Chen Mo.

"Kid, you're good. I admit I underestimated you," Hei Hu's voice was cold, a chilling whisper. "But do you think that's enough to win? Naive! In this world, only strength matters!"

Chen Mo chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Is that so? Then let's see how strong your fist really is."

Hei Hu wasted no time. He pulled the trigger, and a bullet, a messenger of death, sped towards Chen Mo's forehead.

The bullet tore through the air, a whistling scream, aimed straight for Chen Mo's brow. In the nick of time, Chen Mo's mind activated its "overclocking" ability. The world around him slowed to a crawl. He saw the bullet spinning, its trajectory clear, even the heat from the burning gunpowder.

He shifted his body, a subtle movement, and the bullet whizzed past his ear, leaving a deep crater in the wall.

"Close call!" Wang Fatty, hiding behind Hei Hu, broke out in a cold sweat. He thought Chen Mo was finished, but he had somehow dodged the bullet!

Hei Hu was equally stunned. He hadn't expected Chen Mo to be so fast. But he was a seasoned veteran, and he quickly recovered. He pulled the trigger again.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

A symphony of gunfire echoed through the machine room. Bullets rained down on Chen Mo, sealing off every escape route.

Yet, Chen Mo seemed to anticipate each shot. He moved like a phantom, weaving through the deadly storm, untouched by a single bullet.

"This... this is impossible!" Hei Hu's eyes widened in disbelief. Chen Mo's skills were beyond anything he had ever witnessed.

"Nothing is impossible," Chen Mo said with a cold smile. "You think you're the only one who can play with guns?"

As the words left his lips, the mechanical arm on Chen Mo's arm transformed. Metal components shifted and rearranged, morphing into a futuristic energy weapon, a firearm straight out of science fiction.

"Try this!"

Chen Mo pulled the trigger. A blinding blue beam of energy erupted from the barrel, aimed directly at Hei Hu.
