Chapter 364: Four Antique Items Worth Over One Billion
Jiang Siming didn't intend to "deal with" her right now, but instead sat in front of her bed and took out the acupuncture needles.
He quickly sanitized them with a lighter and alcohol.
Then, he began to seriously needle the area around Ishihara Satomi's ankle.
Ishihara Satomi closed her eyes, feeling the warmth on her foot, and when she opened them, she saw Jiang Siming seriously treating her injury.
Her little heart couldn't help but beat faster, feeling like she had met the prince charming she fantasized about in her youth.
Especially since Jiang Siming had to touch her feet while inserting the needles, each time he did, Ishihara Satomi's body would shiver.
After more than ten minutes, Jiang Siming removed the needles.
"Okay, get up and walk a couple of steps to try it."
Ishihara Satomi obeyed, getting off the bed and walking a few steps. She had a slight limp before, but now she was fully healed and there was no pain left in her foot.
"It's really better!" Ishihara Satomi was delighted and even jumped a few times on the carpet, looking so cute.
As she jumped, the pair of "treasures" on her chest swayed with her dress, almost popping out of the neckline.
Jiang Siming found it quite enjoyable and couldn't take his eyes off of her.
Noticing Jiang Siming's gaze, Ishihara Satomi quickly stopped and turned around shyly, not daring to meet his intense gaze.
"We haven't finished what we started earlier, should we continue?" Jiang Siming asked with a smile.
Ishihara Satomi felt embarrassed and wanted to find a hole to hide in, but her body honestly stayed in the room.
Jiang Siming walked over, picked her up in a horizontal position, and "rudely" tossed her onto the bed, then pressed on top of her...
A few minutes later, a painful scream came from the bedroom, and a newlywed woman was born.
Two hours later, due to exhaustion, Ishihara Satomi fell asleep. Before she slept, all she could remember was feeling like she was flying for a very long time...
Playing too long wasn't good. Jiang Siming had to carry her to the bathroom for a shower.
After placing her back on the bed, Jiang Siming looked at the quietly sleeping Ishihara Satomi and almost felt another impulse.
Considering that a "newcomer" might not be able to handle too much stimulation, Jiang Siming decided to resist the urge and gave up on the idea.
Jiang Siming wasn't tired, so he curiously picked up the backpack he brought from Jie Wenhao.
Aside from some documents, there were two pieces of calligraphy and two porcelain items.
Jiang Siming opened the first piece of calligraphy.
The painting was quite large, depicting a group of monks and Buddha. There was a line of characters beside it, but it was in clerical script, and Jiang Siming couldn't understand it.
"What is this calligraphy?" Jiang Siming wondered. He knew nothing about antique calligraphy and paintings.
"Wait, Xiao Xian might know," Jiang Siming said as he took out his phone and tapped on its case.
The phone case was transformed by Xiao Xian. Normally, when Jiang Siming needed to sleep with his wife, he would turn it off to avoid any inappropriate content from being seen.
When he turned Xiao Xian back on, she pouted and said, "Master, you're so bad, always locking me in the little dark room, woo woo~"
"Say more and I'll lock you up again," Jiang Siming warned.
"Ah, master, please don't~ Xiao Xian won't do it again~" Xiao Xian quickly apologized.
Jiang Siming chuckled, "Quick, help me see who the artist of this calligraphy is, when it was made, and how much it's worth."
Xiao Xian immediately transformed into a scanner, flew over the painting, and aimed an infrared light beam at it.
It didn't take long for her to find the information.
"Master, this is 'The Eighteen Arhats Picture Scroll' by Ming dynasty artist Wu Bin, inscribed by Emperor Qianlong with the words 'Divine Arts and Magic,' in regular script. Wu Bin's works are very rare, and this piece is recorded in the 'Shiqu Baoji' and 'Midian Zhulin' collections in the Qing Imperial Library, with only this one personally inscribed by Qianlong."
"And its value?" Jiang Siming didn't care about the dynasty or origin; he was only interested in how much it was worth.
Although it might seem a bit tacky, Jiang Siming wouldn't change it.
He wasn't a child raised in a wealthy family. Having grown up struggling, Jiang Siming didn't know much about antiques and cultural relics, only that having money meant he wouldn't go hungry.
If you were given one hundred million and a treasure painting that had no monetary value but could be passed down through generations, which would you choose?
"This piece was auctioned for 169 million in 2009, and it's currently valued at over 1 billion."
Jiang Siming was stunned, not expecting the painting to be so valuable. He quickly put it away, not wanting to damage it as a layman.
After carefully placing the first painting, Jiang Siming opened the second one.
The second piece was a calligraphy scroll, flowing like clouds and water, with bold strokes. The entire scroll was even more impressive than the painting.
Without needing Jiang Siming's instructions, Xiao Xian had already scanned it.
"Master, this calligraphy is called the 'Cursive Script Peace Scroll.' It was created by the great calligrapher Wang Xizhi during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and along with 'Lantingji Xu' and 'Kuai Xue Qing Shi Tie,' it is regarded as one of his three greatest masterpieces."
"This 'Cursive Script Peace Scroll' was auctioned for 380 million in 2010 in Beijing, and it's currently valued at over 1.5 billion."
Jiang Siming was delighted, thinking he had struck it rich. Each of these two artworks was worth a billion.
Lastly, Xiao Xian also identified the two porcelain pieces. One was a Qing Dynasty Qianlong period famille rose hollowed-out revolving vase, valued at 250 million. The other was a Northern Song Dynasty Ru kiln sky-blue glaze sunflower basin, valued at 180 million.
Although these were not as expensive as land and gambling licenses, four antique items worth over a billion each were already rare in the market.
Almost all of the valuable antiques were in the hands of major wealthy individuals.
Jiang Siming tucked everything away. As for the gambling license and land, he wanted to keep them for himself, but he didn't have the strength to do so just yet.
The main issue was the lack of connections.
Xiaoyangshan Port was in the shipping business, but he didn't own a single ship, so transporting goods wasn't possible unless he sold or leased them.
Even though Jiang Siming didn't know much, he understood that operating it himself would be the most profitable. Selling it would be like killing the goose that lays the golden egg.
However, starting a shipping company at this point was asking too much.
Then there was the gambling license. In Macau, casinos were divided into two types: those on land and those on ships.
Having a gambling license wasn't enough to set up a casino. A physical casino was also required.
This was another headache for Jiang Siming. Rather than being clueless, he chose not to think about it for now. After all, these things wouldn't expire, and he could think it through when he had more time.
After packing everything away, Jiang Siming turned back onto the bed, hugged his new girlfriend's curvaceous body, and closed his eyes to sleep.
