Pirates: Usurping a Kingdom Is Surprisingly Easy

As the former senior police chief of the Taya Kingdom, Ryokugyu had heard more about the infamous reputation of the Revolutionary Army leader than about the Four Emperors' notoriety. To avoid implicating Bonney and the country, Kuma quickly handed over the throne to the former king, Buldog, and went to sea as a pirate, searching for famous doctors for Bonney and visiting many islands. When Bonney was just over 8 years old, about half a year ago, Kuma received information about Dr. Vegapunk from Dragon and took Bonney to Egghead Island for medical treatment.

Dr. Vegapunk's treatment required a large amount of money and time. Kuma first agreed to Dr. Vegapunk's Pacifista plan. However, their contact became known to Saint Saturn, who blackmailed him into becoming a Warlord of the Sea and undergoing memory-wiping modifications. For Bonney, Kuma agreed to all the demands. Once this mission was completed, he could return to Egghead Island, bring Bonney, who had been undergoing cell transplant treatment for over half a year, back to the Sorbet Kingdom to recuperate, while he would continue to perform missions for the World Government. During the treatment period, Kuma, Dr. Vegapunk, Kizaru, and Sentomaru even celebrated Bonney's 9th birthday. Bonney's birthday is September 1. It was now the end of the year, approaching the New Year, and Zoro had already celebrated his 17th birthday on November 11. According to Dr. Vegapunk, once Bonney returned to the Sorbet Kingdom to recuperate for a year and a half, she would safely pass her 10th birthday and be completely cured.
