Chapter 75: Come And Fly Away With Me

Kang Woo didn't respond immediately. Instead, his four crimson pupils scanned his surroundings, his almighty still active as he turned his gaze around Aki.

Aki felt a chill crawl up his spine. That gaze… it's terrifying.

The way Kang Woo's eyes moved, shifting in different directions at once, made it impossible to tell if he was actually looking at him or through him. Is he even seeing me? Or is it something else entirely?

Polycoria sickness has multiple pupils too, but the almighty still give me the creeps…

Aki shook the thought away. Kang Woo wasn't normal, and trying to rationalize him with normal logic was pointless.

Without a word, Kang Woo bent down and picked up the corpse of a JSDF soldier—one of the many who had been shot down by an ice arrow.

Then, he started walking.

The entire JSDF force stiffened, eyes locked on him as he moved toward the largest group. Without hesitation, the soldiers immediately stepped aside, creating a path.

But it wasn't just them.

The Public Safety Devil Hunter divisions—all of them—recognized Kang Woo's presence. One by one, they too stepped aside, instinctively clearing the way.

Nomo watched this unfold, his jaw tightening slightly. His presence… it's the same as Makima's.

No, that wasn't right.

Makima represents control. Her presence forces obedience, bending others to her will.

Kang Woo… Kang Woo felt monstrous. That was when it clicked.

I get it now, Aki. If I pick a fight against Kang Woo… I die.

Santa and Katana Man, watching from the side, both had the same thought.

Can we even lure this guy?

He feels like a leader. More than that—he already is one. Even more than Whip Hybrid.

Whip Hybrid gritted her teeth, her fingers clenching into fists. She said nothing, but inside, she was fuming. Kang Woo hadn't even tried—and yet, he had already taken command.

Then, without warning, Kang Woo hurled the JSDF corpse forward.

It landed on the only open road leading down from the cliff—the only way forward.

Then— A deafening explosion.

A giant shell from the sky came down, slamming directly into the corpse.

BOOOOOM—!

The impact shook the ground. A massive crater replaced where the body had been.

Aki's breath caught. He understood now.

Can they even survive for five minutes in this hellish snowfield?

The largest group—JSDF, Public Safety Devil Hunters, private sector agents, and freelancers—felt the weight of reality crashing down on them. They knew.

If they took even one reckless step forward… They were going to die here.

Fear settled in their bones, unspoken but overwhelming. No amount of training had prepared them for this—for shells falling from the sky like divine punishment and an enemy so far beyond their comprehension that their weapons felt meaningless.

Amidst the silent dread, Aki summoned his armory.

A floating rack of weapons materialized beside him .

Two blades stood out: Glamring and Yukimura.

But among the neatly arranged weapons, one item was different.

A single black briefcase sat at the farthest edge of the rack, marked with a gold V-25 logo.

Aki grabbed it, exhaling sharply. "Kang Woo, you don't mind, right? If I give them the V-25?"

Kang Woo smirked. "Up to you."

Before Aki could react,

Himeno smacked him across the head. "You idiot! You don't even know the right dosage to create a Supe like the ones Kang Woo mentioned!" she snapped. "And besides, we don't even have a syringe!"

Kang Woo cut in casually.

"Just drink it. You'll turn into something like Stormfront for about a week."

Aki blinked. "…It's that simple?"

Kang Woo shrugged. "Yeah. Just a small drop, and you get temporary Supe powers. Too much, and you'll probably get a stomach ache."

Aki didn't waste time. He immediately turned toward Nomo and handed him the briefcase.

"Here. The V-25. The project Kang Woo has been working on. And he actually succeeded."

Silence.

Then—shock rippled through the crowd.

The largest group stared, wide-eyed, as realization set in.

They had heard rumors.

They had seen glimpses of Vought's Supes on television, their abilities seemingly godlike.

But this…

This was different.

This wasn't some corporate experiment locked away in America.

Somehow—someone, out of nowhere, had recreated Vought's most classified product.

A freelancer? A devil hunter? A man who wasn't even part of Vought?

Murmurs spread like wildfire.

"The hell… this guy made Supes?"

"That's impossible. Compound V is locked behind layers of security—"

"Wait, wait, does that mean we can actually become…?"

Even among the hardened private sector mercenaries, shock was evident.

They had come here expecting devils. Maybe monsters. Maybe some underground supernatural warfare. But they hadn't expected this.

Someone who could break the very balance of power in the world.

Katana Man gritted his teeth.

This is bad. the JSDF won't be convinced to lure Kang Woo now. Technically, he just helped them—for free. Right in their moment of need.

Akane Sawatari stood silently beside him. She didn't need to say anything.

She already knew. They had lost. Not the fight. But the masses.

Santa watched, expression unreadable. I expected Kang Woo to be strong… but I didn't expect him to be this scientific.

Tolka, her apprentice, hesitated. Then, he leaned closer and whispered, "Master… what should we do in this situation?"

Before Santa could respond,

Whip Hybrid scoffed.

"Hah! That's just bullshit! You made that up—"

Before she could finish—

One of Division 2's members had already uncapped the serum and taken a sip.

A very small dosage. It took only seconds.

He staggered back, gasping, as his body ignited with energy. Plasma crackled in his hands, blue electricity surging through his veins.

His breath came out sharp—almost a laugh.

"I feel… full," he muttered, eyes widening as his body hummed with power.

He looked down at his hands. Bright plasma flickered to life.

His voice trembled with excitement. "Is this what most American Supes feel? Like I'm unbeatable?"

And then—without thinking—he took off running.

Straight toward the crater created by the giant shell.

Nomo's eyes widened in horror. "HEY! WHERE ARE YOU GOING—"

BOOOOOM—!

A second shell came down from the sky. A thunderous explosion ripped through the battlefield.

A second crater formed. The Division 2 member—gone.

Aki exhaled, running a hand through his hair. "...Did he have a family?"

Nomo didn't look away from the crater. His voice was quieter now.

"Yeah. Us." Then he sighed. "But he got too excited and killed himself."

Nomo took a slow breath before turning back to Aki. "Inside that briefcase… how many serums are there?"

Aki glanced at the case, then back at him. "There's 500. But a small sip is more than enough. That means it's capable of covering most of the JSDF and the entire Public Safety Devil Hunter division."

Silence settled between them as that realization sank in.

Meanwhile, Kang Woo casually moved toward Makima.

Without speaking,

Makima's voice echoed in his mind, her telepathic link slipping through the Commandment of Piety—a power that had belonged to Kang Woo before he granted it to her.

If possible… don't auswahlen them right now, my king.

Kang Woo smirked, his own telepathic response smooth and laced with amusement.

Nah, no need.

His gaze swept over the crowd, watching as whispers spread.

The moment they all drink my V-25, I won't auswahlen them yet. Instead, they'll carry small pieces of my soul.

His smirk widened.

And when they finally die… those souls will return to me and make me stronger.

Every soul cultivated through my distributed fragments…

Most of these people will unknowingly speed up my recovery. I'll regain my former strength faster than before.

Makima only smirked in silence, but in her eyes, there was something else. I really can't keep up with Kang Woo… but I will not give up.

Kishibe, standing beside Quanxi and her devil fiends, took a slow drag from his cigarette.

Quanxi crossed her arms. "Do you think Kang Woo will really let Aki just give his product away for free?"

Kishibe exhaled, glancing at Kang Woo. The way he smirked as the military prepared to take the serum—that look said it all.

"Aki isn't giving them anything," Kishibe muttered. "He's just a delivery boy. The real payment… is whatever Kang Woo has planned."

Quanxi clicked her tongue. "Why do I feel like I'd rather have Makima as my boss again instead of following this monster? It's like we're all dancing in the palm of his hand."

Her expression darkened. "Kang Woo isn't affiliated with anyone… yet he feels more—"

Kishibe nodded, finishing her thought.

"More threatening," he muttered. "And whenever he wants something… he'll get it."

Then, Kishibe leaned in and whispered to Quanxi. "Don't forget. Kang Woo is a Demon King. By default, he's the final enemy humanity is supposed to beat."

Quanxi whispered back, her tone amused. "That's if we could beat him. Got a plan to take him down?"

Kishibe gave her a long, blank stare. A look that said, Are you an idiot?

Quanxi only smirked in silence.

Aki moved toward Kang Woo and Makima.

Makima tilted her head slightly. "that's unexpected you'd give your portion of V-25, but I respect that, Aki-kun."

Aki exhaled. "Ms. Makima, though I've been in Special Division for years under you until you resigned… I still keep in contact with my former Division 2." He glanced at Kang Woo. "Moreover… Kang Woo."

His gaze locked onto Kang Woo, unreadable. Then, he spoke.

"How long are you going to let them live?"

Kang Woo smiled.

He really knows me too well. And how evil I am. Impressive.

Kang Woo shrugged. "Don't know. Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow. Or maybe… I forget."

Aki narrowed his eyes. "At least let them live for 1 week. That's the limit of a temporary Supe's power, right? Until they turn normal again?"

Kang Woo hummed, considering. "I'll think about it. Also—have you said your goodbyes? This might be the last time you see your Division 2 group."

Aki looked toward the Division 2 members, each of them happily inspecting the V-25 serum like kids who just got their hands on something forbidden.

He sighed. "We'll meet again in the future. With V-25, they'll at least have something to cover their lack of power against mana users."

Makima, standing beside him, chuckled lightly. "That's a very good sense of optimism, Aki-kun. However…" She glanced at him with an almost pitying smile. "As beings who were born without mana until Kang Woo granted us power, I think you underestimate how terrifying those who naturally have it can be."

Aki didn't respond immediately, but her words lingered.

Meanwhile, Kang Woo's gaze flickered toward Yuko and Asa.

Yuko had stepped in front of Asa, standing protectively as if shielding her from some unseen danger. Her expression was determined, her stance firm.

Kang Woo raised an eyebrow. What now?

Yuko took a deep breath. "If I join you… you're not gonna make us do anything, you know… humiliating, right?"

A pause.

Then Kang Woo's smirk widened as a thought crossed his mind.

He leaned forward slightly, lowering his voice just enough to tease. "Damn… you students watching too much Triple X or some 18+ stuff?"

Silence.

Asa's entire face went red.

Yuko froze on the spot.

The way Asa's shoulders twitched made it very obvious—Kang Woo hit a nerve.

Makima, watching the whole thing unfold, casually added, "Times change. Ten years ago, students were still completely normal."

Asa whipped around to Yuko. "Why did you phrase it like that?! He totally took it the wrong way!"

Yuko, completely flustered, waved her arms. "I-I didn't mean it like that! I was just making sure we don't get treated like trash!"

Kang Woo crossed his arms, smirking. ". Let me guess—you two 'totally' didn't sneak a peek at those restricted channels before bedtime?"

Asa buried her face in her hands.

"I want to die," she muttered.

Yuko grabbed her by the shoulders, shaking her. "ASA, DON'T FALL INTO DESPAIR! HE'S DOING IT ON PURPOSE!"

Kang Woo chuckled to himself. Man… messing with these two is way too easy.

Kang Woo stretched his arms behind his head, grinning. "Welcome to the Mad Tea Party—full of dickheads with their own agendas. Some of them even wanna take me down."

His gaze flicked toward Kishibe and Quanxi.

Kishibe only smirked in silence, exhaling a slow drag from his cigarette.

Quanxi, arms crossed, chuckled. "He's so confident… he's just straight-up letting us try."

Yuko and Asa, standing awkwardly at the edge of the group, exchanged confused glances.

Asa leaned toward Yuko, whispering, "What… is happening? Before we joined, was this group already this insane?"

Yuko nodded hesitantly. "I think it's always been like this."

Kobeni, hearing the conversation, suddenly stepped forward and clapped her hands together.

"Alright, let me review this group's members again," she said, her voice sharp and sounding way too professional for someone in this chaotic mess.

She began listing them off like a secretary going through a workforce roster.

"Me. Reze. Kang Woo. Makima. Aki. Himeno. Kishibe-sensei. Quanxi. Quanxi's devil fiends: Pingtsi, Long, Tsugihagi, and Cosmo…" She paused, then turned toward Asa and Yuko.

"And last, we have two new members. You are?"

Asa blinked, straightening up instinctively. "I'm Asa Mitaka, and my friend here is Yuko."

Kobeni nodded, already committing it to memory. "Alright. Adding two members: Asa Mitaka and Yuko."

Yuko tilted her head. "Wait… I think I met your brother. He's actually here."

Silence.

The atmosphere shifted.

Kobeni's expression instantly darkened.

Her usual nervous demeanor vanished. A cold, sharp bloodlust filled the air.

"Where," she said, her voice eerily calm and controlled. "Where is Nobana? I think I'd like to have a talk with him."

Asa felt a chill crawl down her spine.

She slowly turned to Yuko and whispered, "You just woke something you really shouldn't have."

Before the tension could escalate, Kang Woo casually placed a hand on Kobeni's head.

"We don't have time to talk. Things just escalated more than expected," he said lazily. "We need to leave—at least in the next 60 seconds. If you want, Kobeni-chan… my almighty can bring his head here right now."

Asa and Yuko froze.

They had no idea what almighty meant, but the way Kang Woo casually offered to bring someone's severed head on command sent a horrifying realization through them.

Their gazes flicked up to Kang Woo's four crimson pupils.

Even now, his eyes still had that unnatural glow.

Kang Woo isn't human.

Kobeni exhaled, closing her eyes for a brief moment before speaking.

"No," she muttered. "Don't kill him, Kang Woo. I'll deal with him myself. But…" She opened her eyes again, her voice steady. "If something very urgent happens, I'll follow your decision."

Kang Woo withdrew his hand, turning his attention back to the Mad Tea Party.

"From here on out," he said, his voice cutting through the group, "for the next five minutes, if you have any questions—discuss them with the people beside you."

His gaze sharpened.

"Don't ask me. I'll be very busy. Understand?"

The group fell silent.

They understood.

Kang Woo stretched his wings of darkness, but as they unfurled, the raw demonic energy mixed within them twisted their form—turning them into crimson-blackened wings.

Makima, noticing the slight instability, manifested her own power—shaping her darkness manipulation into a single dark wing. She turned to Kang Woo, her voice laced with concern. "My king, is your condition at its peak?"

Kang Woo smirked, shaking his head slightly. "I'm fine. My demonic energy is just leaking a bit more than before."

Then, his gaze shifted—and landed on Kobeni.

Above them, the air had frozen into a solid pathway—a seamless icy surface stretching like a skateway.

Kang Woo raised an eyebrow, impressed. "Where did you learn that, Kobeni-chan? I didn't know ice manipulation could be used like that."

Kobeni gave a shy smirk but stayed silent.

Makima chuckled. "Don't tease her too much, my king. She already did this when we invaded your realm—the Demonic Sea."

Kang Woo scoffed internally. Both my wives are really trying to keep up with me.

Without another word, he flapped his wings, launching into the sky like a dark comet.

Makima followed, streaking behind him like an orange star.

Kobeni, using her frozen pathway, skated after them effortlessly, leaving behind a trail of ice that shimmered in the air before vanishing within ten seconds.

Himeno watched them take off, then nudged Aki with a smirk. "Yo, Aki, can you fly with your Azure Resolve and carry me like a princess? Pretty please?"

Aki deadpanned. "Himeno-senpai… I don't know how to fly using magic."

Before she could whine, a dark platform materialized beneath the entire Mad Tea Party group.

Reze blinked. "Huh. Guess Kang Woo didn't leave us behind."

Kishibe took a slow drag from his cigarette. "More like he's bringing us with him."

Quanxi narrowed her eyes slightly. "Have you ever flown with Kang Woo before, Kishibe?"

Kishibe exhaled. "First time for everything, I guess."

Asa and Yuko, already overwhelmed, hugged each other tightly, bracing for whatever was about to happen.

Quanxi's devil fiends instinctively did the same.

Then—the dark platform surged forward.

Trailing behind Kang Woo like a meteor of pure darkness.
