Pokemon: A New Era Begins

Chapter 9: CHAPTER 9

c9: It Will Become a Dragon Later!

"So beautiful!"

Chu Pity's eyes sparkled as she stared at Diancie, mesmerized by its dazzling diamond-covered body and elegant white gown. The Pokémon looked like a gem brought to life, radiating an ethereal glow.

"Wow!"

Diancie, startled by Chu Pity's intense gaze, hopped back a few steps, blinking cautiously at her admirer.

"Boss! Is this Pokémon also for sale?" Chu Pity hurriedly turned to ask Gu Xin, who had just approached.

Bai Qianqian, standing nearby, was also in awe. She had seen many cute Pokémon, but Diancie was on another level.

Gu Xin smiled. "No, Diancie is my personal partner. She's not for sale."

Chu Pity's enthusiasm dimmed slightly. "Really? The price is negotiable..."

"Miss, don't bother trying. People have already offered five million, and the boss refused outright."

Before Chu Pity could finish speaking, Lin Sheng chimed in, glancing at her with a knowing look.

Indeed, Gu Xin's comment section on Station B was already flooded with people offering astronomical amounts for Diancie. Some had even suggested five million, and that was before he opened the shop to customers.

Diancie was simply too stunning, and the fact that she could dance the Pure Land of Bliss made her even more sought after.

Chu Pity pouted. "Five million isn't that much… Boss, are you really not willing to sell?"

Her tone was casual, as if she wasn't bothered by the price at all. Lin Sheng stared at her in disbelief. Mega Bai Fumei?!

Gu Xin chuckled. "Diancie isn't just a Pokémon to me; she's family. No amount of money can replace her."

Chu Pity sighed. "What a shame." She truly admired Diancie's beauty.

Then, her eyes caught another Pokémon. "Boss, what about this little fox?"

She pointed at a Vulpix, which was lazily stretching on the table, its six tails swaying gently.

Lin Sheng panicked. "Beauty, that's mine!" He quickly scooped up Vulpix, hugging it tightly as if to shield it from her. "I already bought it!"

"Boss, where's your payment code?" Lin Sheng hurriedly turned to Gu Xin, eager to finalize the transaction. He had already borrowed the remaining money from his cousin.

Chu Pity smirked. "Relax, kid. I'm not a thief."

Gu Xin laughed. "Alright, Diancie, bring out the payment code."

Diancie gracefully floated over with a small device, and Lin Sheng immediately scanned it.

Chu Pity turned back to Gu Xin. "Boss, I also want a pet. You should still have more, right?"

"Of course. Since you're Miss Bai's friend, I assume you know the process?" Gu Xin handed her his store manager's Pokédex.

Chu Pity nodded but raised an eyebrow. "Boss, your Pokémon aren't ugly, right?"

Gu Xin paused for a moment before responding. "Well, beauty is subjective, but I can guarantee that every Pokémon here is unique and special in its own way."

He then added with a knowing smile, "That said, our store prioritizes customer satisfaction. If you don't like your first draw, you can pay to draw again but personally, I don't recommend it."

Chu Pity's lips curled into a confident smirk. "That works for me."

As a true RMB warrior, she had no issue spending extra.

She clasped her hands together. "Alright, Qianqian, bless me with good luck!"

Bai Qianqian facepalmed. "...I have no idea what you're saying anymore."

Meanwhile, Lin Sheng, now done with his payment, curiously leaned over to see what Chu Pity would get.

The screen flickered, silhouettes of Pokémon flashing rapidly before one finally settled into view.

Chu Pity blinked. "Huh? What is this? A little lizard?"

Gu Xin, who had been placing energy cubes into a bag for Lin Sheng, glanced at the screen. His eyebrows raised slightly.

"Oh? Beauty, your luck is amazing. That's a Charmander."

Lin Sheng and Bai Qianqian's eyes widened in shock.

"A fire dragon?!" Chu Pity's eyes gleamed with excitement.

Gu Xin hesitated, then chuckled. "Ehhh… not exactly, but its name is Charmander. Hmm… actually, when you think about it…"

While Charmander and its evolutions aren't officially classified as Dragon-type, Charizard's Mega Evolution (X form) is a Dragon-type Pokémon. Plus, Charizard's appearance resembled that of a Western dragon.

He scratched his head. "You know what? Yeah, it'll definitely look like a dragon when it evolves."

Bai Qianqian stared at him. "Boss… are you messing with us? Are dragons even real?"

Gu Xin calmly replied, "Not the dragons from Eastern mythology, but think of a Western-style flying reptile, like a tuatara or pterosaur.

And just to be clear, everything in this store is a real Pokémon. We don't deal in regular pets."

His tone remained steady. He understood the skepticism. After all, if he posted a video of Charmander evolving into Charizard, people online would probably call him crazy.

But facts were facts.

Sooner or later, when Charizard appeared, they'd believe it.
