Cassandra: "You're right. Paras doesn't have any confidence in its own abilities,"

(Cassandra says.)

(Brock turns to Cassandra.)

Brock: "So Cassandra, what about this potion? What's it supposed to do?"

Cassandra: "I'm trying to come up with a miracle potion. One that'll not only restore Pokemon's defensive powers, but its attack power, concentration, and its determination, as well. And make it smarter, too. I want all Pokemon to grow and stay healthy, that's why I need Paras to realize how important it is and to believe in itself,"

(Cassandra says.)

(Mew thinks and says.)

Mew: "Hmm… maybe instead of trying to battle Paras right off the bat, we should try to help it realize its own abilities."

Misty: "How do we do that?"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "Some of us have bug Pokemon and we can use them to help train Paras,"

(Mew says.)

(Cassandra says.)

Cassandra: "I think it's a great idea."

Brock: "Yeah. Let's give it a try,"

(Brock says.)

(With that, Brock brings out Dwebble, Pinsir, Charjabug, and Shuckle.)

(Misty brings out Surskit.)

(Mew decides to switch some of her Pokemon with her Pokedex.)

(Mew take Weedle, Wurmple, Ledyba, and Cutiefly.)

Cassandra: "Wow. You all have so many Bug Pokemon,"

(Cassandra says, amazed.)

Misty: "Yeah. And they're going to help,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Okay everyone. We're going to help Cassandra's Paras evolve into a Parasect. We just need to help it realize it's own abilities,"

(Mew says.)

(Everyone nods their heads.)

Mew: "Then let's start helping Paras,"

(Mew says.)

(She then turns to Cassandra.)

Mew: "Hey Cassandra, what kind of moves can Paras use."

Cassandra: "Paras can use Spore, Stun Spore, Slash, and Bug Bite,"

(Cassandra says.)

Mew: "Well then, it's time we help Paras perfect those moves of his,"

(Mew says.)

(Soon enough, Mew and her friends decide to walk into a clearing of the forest where they see different trees, and perfect for practice.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Cutiefly, let's help Paras out with Stun Spore."

(Cutiefly then begins to perform Stun Spore.)

Cassandra: "Now Paras, you do what Cutiefly is doing. Use Stun Spore,"

(Cassandra says.)

(Paras feels a little reluctant, but decides to perform the attack.)

Cassandra: "You're doing great, Paras,"

(Cassandra says.)

(Paras shyly says.)

Paras: "Paras," (Thank you.)

Mew: "Now then, let's help Paras with some attacks,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Maybe we can help Paras with some dodging,"

(Misty suggests.)

Cassandra: "Okay,"

(Cassandra says.)

(Soon enough, Charjabug, Surskit, and Ledyba are standing on one side.)

(while Wurmple and Weedle are standing on the other side.)

Brock: "Okay everyone, it's time to practice some dodging and attacks. Charjabug, Surskit, and Ledyba will perform the attacks and Wurmple and Weedle will help Paras with the dodging and attacking,"

(Brock says.)

Brock: "But first, we'll demonstrate,

(Mew then calls out.)

Mew: "Alright Ledyba, use swift."

(Ledyba then performs Swift.)

(Weedle and Wurmple quickly dodge the attack.)

Misty: "Surskit, use Bubble Beam,"

(Misty calls out.)

(Skurskit fires Buble Beam and Wurmple quickly ducks under the Bubble Beam.)

(Then Brock says.)

Brock: "Charjabug, use Spark!"

(Charjabug charges up and fires Sparke. Weedle then dodges the attack.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Weedle, use Poison Sting. Wurmple, use String Shot!"

Cassandra: "Paras, use Slash,"

(Cassandra says.)

(Weedle then strikes at Surskit with Poison Stung.)

(and Wurmple traps Charjabug with String shot.)

(A little nervous, Paras isn't moving at first.)

(However, he decides to be a little braver and performs slash at Ledyba.)

(Ledyba then dodges the attack.)

(Cassandra then calls out.)

Cassandra: "Paras, use Stun Spore."

(Paras then shakes its mushrooms and has caught Ledyba in Stun Spore.)

(Soon, it becomes paralyzed to move and lands on the ground.)

Cassandra: "You're doing great, Paras,"

(Cassandra happily says.)

Mew: "Then let's continue with the training,"

(Mew says.)

(Throughout the afternoon, Mew, Brock, Misty, Pikachu, Eevee, Tomo, and the Bug Pokemon continue to help Cassandra and Paras with the training session.)

(Weedle and Wurmple are especially helpful, and they also become good friends with Paras.)

(They help Paras with its dodging, attacks, jumping abilities, and are also able to help teach Paras new moves for it to use.)

(They've been training for a long while, and Paras is able to make great progress on its attacks, dodging, and mostly, its confidence.)

(Just then, Paras begin to glow.)

(Cassandra, Mew, and the others know what it means. Paras is evolving.)

(Paras grow large as it begins to glow.)

(When it stops glowing, Paras is now an orange, insectoid Pokémon that has been completely overtaken by the parasitic mushroom on its back.)

(It has a small head with pure white eyes and a segmented body that is mostly hidden by the mushroom.)

(It has three pairs of legs with the foremost pair forming large pincers, and has a large red cap with yellow spots.)

(Seeing Paras finish its evolution makes Cassandra very happy.)

Misty: "Wow!"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "It really evolved!"

(Brock says.)

(Mew brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Parasect, the Mushroom Pokemon. A Bug and Grass Type It battles using poison spheres that spread from the big mushroom canopy on its back."

Mew: "We're all proud of you, Parasect,"

(Mew says.)

(Cassandra hugs Parasect.)

Cassandra: "I never doubted you! Great job, Parasect!"

(Mew and the others smile with glee, even the bug Pokemon are happy to help.)

(Suddenly, Wurmple and Weedle begin to glow, catching everyone's attention.)

Mew: "Wurmple? Weedle?"

(Mew says, surprised.)

Tomo: "What's going on?"

(Tomo asks.)

Brock: "They're evolving,"

(Brock says.)

(Both of the Pokemon continue to evolve and their shape changes.)

(Soon, the glow of evolution disappears and the two Pokemon have taken a new form.)

(Weedle is now a Kakuna.)

(Wurmple is now a white silk cover Pokemon with two small holes, a pair of red eyes, and a little bit of spikes.)

Mew: "Wow. Weedle evolved into Kakuna,"

(Mew says.)

(She brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Kakuna, the Cocoon Pokemon. A Bug and Poison Type. Almost incapable of moving, this Pokémon can only harden its shell to protect itself when it is in danger."

Misty: "But what about Wurmple? What did it evolve to?"

(Misty asks.)

Mew: "That's a Silcoon,"

(Mew says.)

(Then points her Pokedex towards Silcoon, Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Silcoon, the Cocoon Pokemon. A Bug Type. It tethers itself to a tree branch using silk to keep from falling. There, this Pokémon hangs quietly while it awaits evolution. It peers out of the silk cocoon through a small hole."

Misty: "I have to admit seeing a Silcoon is very different from what Kakuna or Metapod,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "You're right. Wurmple has a branch evolution,"

(Mew says.)

Brock: "She's right. Since your Wurmple evolved into a Silcoon, it will evolve into a Beautifly,"

(Brock says.)

Mew: "Yeah. I sure can't wait when they both evolve,"

(Mew says.)

(Cassandra hugs Parasect and says.)

Cassandra: "Thanks for helping me, Parasect. I knew I'd be able to count on you. Now it's my turn to help. I'm gonna make my miracle potion and improve all the Pokemon in the world!"

(Later on, outside of Cassandra's shop, Mew and her friends are ready to leave for the next city.)

Cassandra: "I'm sorry we caused so much trouble for you all,"

(Cassandra says.)

Mew: "It's no trouble. We're glad to help you,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Let us know when you finish your new potion, Cassandra,"

(Misty says.)

Brock: "I'll be your first customer,"

(Brock says.)

(Soon, Mew and her friends depart to another part of their adventure.)

(Mew waves goodbye.)

Mew: "See ya later!"

Brock: "Bye, Cassandra!"

(Brock says.)

Cassandra: "Thanks again! Good luck on your journey, everyone!"

(Cassandra says, waving goodbye.)

Misty: "Goodbye! Good luck!"

(Misty says. calls out.)

Tomo: "Goodbye!"

(Tomo says.)

(Mew and her friends continue to head off on another adventure awaiting them.

(Mew continues to walk with Tomo, Pikachu, and Eevee standing close to her and with Brock and Misty.)

(They continue to walk through the forest and hope they'll have another fun adventure.)

(Not only Cassandra's Parasect have gained confidence and evolved, Wurmple and Weedle have also evolved as well.)

(And now, Mew and her friends continue on their journey to the next gym. As the journey continues.)
