Chapter 189: Top 4! Vs. Blue Oak (3) [Bonus]
~Third POV~
[Paldea Region, South Providence, Mesagoza, Naranja/Uva Academy Faculty Office]
Meanwhile, within the Paldea Region, Pokémon League Chairwoman and Champion Geeta, along with a few others, were closely watching the match of Blue vs Azure. Along with her is the freshly established Elite Four of Paldea.
The new Elite Four consisted of Rika, Ground Specialist. Hassel, Dragon Specialist. Larry, Flying Specialist. And lastly, the newest and youngest member of the newly established Paldea Elite Four, Nemona, the Generalist.
Each was brought up witnessing the battle with Nemona, shaking in excitement, seeing the previous battles as she declares excitedly, "Soooo cool~"
Rika lightly smiled, seeing the battle as she showed a deep interest in seeking especially strong Trainers who could hold their own in the Paldea League. She commented lightly, seeing the two battle, "Those two are extremely talented, shining with potential. I suppose it's to be expected of an Oak, but Sky is holding his own. Especially against a Legendary Flying type, right, Larry?"
Larry simply nodded in a neutral, bored tone, "Yeah…"
Hassel, on the other hand, usually emotional outbursts remained silent. His eyes stared at Azure's Dragonite on the screen as he thought seriously, 'That Dragonite of his… It's unnaturally powerful. But coming from a long line of Dragon Tamers… is it perhaps his also a member of a Dragon family?'
While Hassel kept his thoughts to himself, Geeta observed the match with intense interest as she pondered to herself curiously, 'Facing down a prodigy Sky? I wonder how you'll deal with Blue's Zapdos and will you'll use your own Legendary to face off against it, or you'll use Mega Evolution? What's your answer, I wonder…'
They're attention was now glued to seeing Azure and Blue's match. Nemona, from her seat, cheered excitedly, "Go, Mister Sky! Kick his butt!!"

[Kanto Region, Indigo Plateau – Stadium]
Blue made his next choice with a blur of practiced efficiency. He snatched a Poké Ball from his belt and hurled it with a sharp, cutting motion as he yelled, "Zapdos, let's go!"
*Pop*
The ball burst open in a flash of blinding light, and from it emerged the Legendary Bird of Thunder. With a cry that sounded like a thunderclap ripping the sky in two, Zapdos spread its jagged, electrified wings, "Scheee!!!"
Its presence alone sent a current of palpable energy through the stadium, and the crowd went wild. The commentators were just as ecstatic as DJ Mary declared, "An incredible return! Blue Oak returns with his legendary Zapdos! What kind of power will Azure's Dragonite bring to counter this?!"
Azure took a deep breath, his gaze locked on the formidable opponent as he thought cautiously, 'Despite being poisoned, Blue still chose to have Zapdos out rather than any of his other Pokémon. Its power is amazing, sure, but not in a prolonged battle against my amped Dragonite, but then again…'
Azure gazed at his Dragonite, having come out from Outrage, and was in a state of confusion. He understood why Blue chose Zapdos, as it would be the one strong enough to use to speed run through his team, and without Gengar to use Perish Song or Destiny Bond, only emboldened Blue's confidence.
Keeping Dragonite in Blue saw his oppertunity and took it. Blue ordered seriously extending his arm out, "Zapdos, end this quickly while it's confused! Thunderbolt!"
*Zzzzzz*
Zapdos shrieked and gathered atmospheric electricity into its body. With a flick of its wings, it unleashed a colossal bolt of lightning that tore across the field, aimed squarely at Dragonite's chest.
It was a move designed for a one-hit knockout. Azure frowned as he countered, "Dragonite! Snap out of it and use Agility!"
*Snap*
[Dragonite healed its Confusion out of sheer determination, so you wouldn't worry!]
Under Azure's command, he saw the screen as he smirked. Dragonite's eyes snapped with clarity, and hearing his voice, immediately moved. Its body filled with energy as it used Agility to avoid the incoming Thunderbolt.
*Zoooom*
Managing to avoid the incoming Thunderbolt, Blue's eyes narrowed as he thought cautiously, 'It dodged! Dragonite should've been still confused unless it managed to break out in just a few seconds? No, that doesn't matter, I must take it out now!'
Azure's calm smile returned, now sharper, more predatory. He had baited Blue, predicted his overconfident, power-based opening, and used it to his advantage, trusting his Dragonite to break through the confusion.
The confidence in Blue was gone, replaced by a sharp, calculating glare. Blue called out, his voice booming like a crack of lightning, "Zapdos, Thunderbolt!"
*RMBL*
Thunderous clouds gathered on cue above the battlefield, swirling ominously as Zapdos summoned its power. Despite the poison taking its toll, Zapdos unleashed a devastating blast of electricity aimed directly at Azure's Dragonite.
Azure commanded, his focus unwavering, "Dodge and use Hyper Beam!"
*Woooosh*
Dragonite nimbly evaded the electric onslaught, its wings beating mighty gusts of wind as it elegantly soared above the encroaching bolts. In one fluid motion, Dragonite unleashed a blinding Hyper Beam, its core glowing with energy, directed straight at Zapdos.
*BOOOM*
The energy collided, resulting in a brilliant explosion of light that momentarily lit up the stadium. As the dust began to settle, both trainers assessed the state of their Pokémon quickly, formulating plans.
Blue's Zapdos flapped its wings, eyes fierce, but it was clear that the attack had taken a toll, and the poison. Blue commanded, unfazed, "Not bad, Azure, but let's turn up the heat! Zapdos, Thunder!"
*RMBL*
Zapdos jumped into the air, crackling with electric energy, searching for its target. Given enough time, it recovered as Azure ordered, "Agile Style Extreme Speed Dragonite! Followed up with a Strong Style Dragon Tail!"
*Zooom*
Dragonite shot forward, its speed unmatched, evading Zapdos's attack and closing the distance between them. The dragon Pokémon's powerful tail whipped around, preparing a Dragon Tail strike.
*SMACK*
It landed the Dragon Tail strike, but Zapdos blocked it with its Steel Wing. The two Pokémon locked onto each other, training their wills in a climactic moment as they fought to determine who would prevail.
Azure felt a surge of adrenaline, his instincts kicking in. Azure ordered seriously, "Now, Dragonite! Let's finish this! Strong Style Draco Meteor!"
Dragonite grinned, hearing this, as it smacked Zapdos down. Taking the chance, Dragonite, veiled in a purple aura, was forming a sphere of purple energy inside of Dragonite's mouth and fired it into the sky…
/////
[Sinnoh Region, Meanwhile, Celestic Town – Cynthia's Home]
Meanwhile, in the Sinnoh Region, in the small town of Celestic Town, there was a small uproar occurring when Azure used Draco Meteor. Celestic Town is a tiny town that preserves the history of Sinnoh and the old ways of life.
The center of town has a small shrine that dates to ancient times. It is one of the smallest towns in the entire region. It is also one of the oldest, and some say the town has been there since Sinnoh was created.
It is the hometown of Cynthia's family and of Kalos' future Elite Four member Drasna's grandparents. But currently in the home of a future Champion in the making, Cynthia Home, there was a startled surprise, "WHAT!!! HOW DOES HE KNOW THAT MOVE?!! I'VE NEVER TAUGHT THAT BRAT!!!"
The one yelling loudly and angrily was none other than Cynthia's Grandmother, Carolina, a researcher. She yelled the loudest because the move Azure used was a Family's Technique from long ago, Draco Meteor.
Carolina created the ultimate Dragon Type Move, but she felt her blood pressure rise seeing someone outside her known family learned it. Cythnia nearby calmed her grandmother down, seeing her enraged state, "Calm down, grandma! You'll get a heart attack if you get this upset! Please...!"
A teenager, Cythnia, tried to calm her down. She sighed in relief as she saw her calming down, but her eyes, now glued to the screen, pondered, 'But she is right, though… how did he know that move? I thought only Dragon Masters or fellow Dragon Tamers could be taught that highly advanced and exclusive Dragon Type Move!'
*BOOOOOM*
Then it happened. Their eyes were glued, seeing Azure's variant version of Draco Meteor occurring in the Kanto Region for all to see in the media and TV…
Their eyes widened seeing the Draco Meteor Move, one used to call the very meteors from space here… but Azure's created it using pure Dragon Type Energy. Caroline grit her teeth as she thought bitterly, 'Who the hell is that brat and… did he master the Draco Meteor move solely on Dragon Type Energy?!!'
/////
[Kanto Region, Indigo Plateau – Stadium]
Then it happened. The Strong Style Draco Meteor rained down upon the stunned Zapdos and Blue, witnessing the strongest Dragon Type Move ever seen as the sphere reaches its peak in the sky above, till...
*PEW*
*BOOOOOOM*
… it then proceeded to explode and release multiple purple-glowing meteors that rained down on the opponent. Raining down ferocious meteoric energy, Dragonite released a torrent of immense power.
*RMBL*
The ground shook as the starry projectiles rained upon the battlefield, creating a brilliant display of light and destruction. Blue bit his lip as he ordered swiftly, "Damn it!! He had something like this hidden in the tournament! Shit! Zapdos! Destroy those meteors with Discharge!!"
*ZAP*
Zapdos obeyed as it unleashed its fury of Discharge on the meteors. In a golden flash of light, Zapdos releases multiple bolts of yellow electricity from its body at the incoming meteors raining down on the sky.
*BOOOOM*
Each bolt of electricity tore through the meteors, effectively destroying them, but also quickened the effects of poison, thanks to Skarmory's Toxic coursing through its body. It frantically destroyed all the meteors.
Unfortunately for Zapdos, Azure saw its exhaustion as he thought boldly, 'It's finally exhausted to the point where we have our opportunity! Time to end this Zapdos!!'
Deciding to finish the battle once and for all, Azure yells, "End it, Dragonite! Extreme Speed into Strong Style!! MEGA PUNCH!!"
*ZOOOOM*
Using all of its remaining stamina, it shot forward in a burst of speed for one last Mega Punch, to which Dragonite roars in agreement, "DROOO!!! (YOU SHALL FALL!!!)"
*FWP*
Flapping its wings using the momentum of its Extreme Speed Dragonite began charging its fist with glowing yellow energy. Zapdos couldn't escape, and the electric bird faltered under the onslaught as Dragonite reeled its fist back and then…
*CRACK*
… delivering a sickening blow to Zapdo's torso, making a CRACK sound that was heard throughout the stadium. The damage is devastating and sends Zapdos flying straight into the ground, making a loud BOOM sound…
*BOOOOM*
Despite remaining conscious, the Legendary Pokémon can barely remain standing. But, crashing to the ground as the dust settled all around.
*THUD*
As the final impact echoed, the dust revealed a fainted Zapdos as the toll of the battle and the poison of Toxic finally took it down. The referee raised his flag, signaling the end of the battle, "Zapdos is unable to battle! The winner is Dragonite!"
*Fwp*
Dragonite descended panting tiredly to the ground with a smug grin, even though it lost -2 Sp. Attack by using Draco Meteor, followed by a close-up Mega Punch. Blue's eyes widened seeing this as he thought, stunned, returning Zapdos, 'I… okay, that one I didn't see coming. Draco Meteor? It was as if the very battlefield was hit by a meteor shower… and using it forced me to defend from the very sky itself as it rained down fucking meteors while you land the finishing blow with Mega Punch. You've been holding out on us, but…'
Blue slowly, coldly smirked, seeing that he was finally pushing Azure's Pokémon to their limits with Dragonite panting, exhausted from using most of its stamina against Zapdos. It was clearly on its last legs.
Pushing Azure to his limits, feeling the pressure of the battle, Blue said calmly, "I'll admit that Draco Meteor was a surprise, along with that drastic Mega Punch. Didn't think you still had a trick left in your sleeve, Sky… not bad."
Blue called out, his voice sharp and clear, with a practiced flick of his wrist, sent his Poke Ball flying, "Let's see if the hype is real. Go! Scizor!"
*Pop*
It burst open in a flash of red light, revealing a sleek, metallic crimson figure. Scizor, with its steel-hard carapace and powerful pincers, hovered menacingly, its wings buzzing faintly.
Azure's smile didn't waver. He had anticipated a strong counter as Blue ordered, "Scizor! End it with Bullet Punch!"
*Zooom*
Before Dragonite could even fully orient itself, the toll of battling Alakazam and Zapdos showed; Scizor shot forward like a red comet. As a priority move, Bullet Punch always struck first.
*CLANG*
The steel-clad pincer slammed into Dragonite's chest with a metallic clang. It wasn't powerful enough to cause major damage to the durable Dragon-type, but it was enough to cause Dragonite to faint.
*Thud*
Dragonite fainted after battling Alakazam, powering through it, and Zapdos, as it went all out against the Legendary Pokémon. With Dragonite down, the referee declared, "Dragonite is unable to battle! Scizor is the winner!"
A moment of stunned silence fell over the stadium before it erupted into a deafening cheer for Blue, managing to take out one of Azure's Pokémon. Azure smiled as he recalled Dragonite, "Thanks for the help, girl. You've always pulled me out of a bind."
Putting away Dragonite's Poké Ball, Azure gazed at the 3 he had available as he thought, 'I have 4 Pokémon left while Blue has 3, including a healthy Scizor on the field. One of them is a hurt Charizard and an unknown. But who to send out…'
Contemplating a bit, his gaze turned towards Eevee on the ground. As they locked their eyes, Eevee grinned, giving a soft cry, "Bui! (Send me in coach! I'm ready!)"
Azure's smile widened. He'd made his choice as he sent his Partner Eevee into battle in a confident voice, "I trust my partners with my life, Blue. Eevee, I choose you!"
*Tmp*
Eevee leaped forward to the battlefield with an eager expression on its face, barking fiercely, "Bui! Eeveow!! (Let's do this! Let me at 'em!!)"
A murmur went through the crowd. DJ Mary began her rapid-fire analysis in a confused tone, "An Eevee against a Scizor? That's a bold, some might say foolish, choice from Azure! Scizor's Steel typing resists Eevee's Normal-type attacks, and its moves will hit for neutral damage. This is a significant disadvantage from the get-go!"
However, not all of them are aware of Eevee's abilities, as Blue eyes narrowed as he muttered coldly, "Sending out that 'Eevee' huh? Trying to throw me off with an unconventional pick? It won't work. Scizor, start this off with a Bullet Punch!"
*Zoooom*
Scizor became a crimson blur, rocketing across the field with its priority move. The attack was too fast to dodge head-on.
Azure commanded, his voice sharp and clear, "Eevee, Double Team, now!"
*Wooosh*
Eevee moved with a startling burst of speed. In the instant before Scizor's metallic fist could connect, she split into a dozen identical, flickering images.
Scizor's Bullet Punch tore through an afterimage, which dissolved into nothingness. The real Eevee was already repositioning, her movements fluid and unpredictable, having gained +1 Evasion.
Blue scoffed disdainfully, though a flicker of annoyance crossed his face, swiftly commanded, "An army of fluff isn't a strategy! Scizor, use Swords Dance! Let's show him what real power looks like!"
Scizor stopped its pursuit, its pincers crossing as ethereal blades of energy circled its body, honing its already immense attack power to a terrifying new level. Azure saw the opening that Blue made, increasing their power.
This was their chance. Blue was playing textbook—set up, then sweep.
But Azure and Eevee didn't play by the book. DJ Mary yelled through the speakers, "He's boosting his Attack! Azure needs to do something, and fast!"
Azure then ordered swiftly, "Eevee! Mimic Swords Dance!"
*Shiii*
Eevee danced around as glowing blue energy swords appeared around it. Gaining +2 Attack stats, Blue ordered, "Scizor! Bullet Punch!"
*Zoooom*
It lunged forward at incredible speed, but Azure called out, "Eevee, use Dig!"
*RMBL*
Eevee didn't hesitate, diving into the stadium turf and disappearing at the last moment as Scizor missed its attack. A moment later, Scizor, now glowing with power, unleashed a devastating Bullet Punch where Eevee had been, carving a gash into the field.
Blue scanned the field as his eyes narrowed seriously. His mind was already calculating as he said bluntly, "Trying to stall? Or planning a surprise attack? It doesn't matter. The moment it surfaces, it's finished."
But Azure wasn't just planning a surprise. He was banking on a strategy born from Eevee's very nature, her limitless potential.
He grinned as he quickly placed Eevee's Z-Crystal, alarming Blue's eyes as he thought, 'I was wondering which one you'll use. So, you'll use a Z-Move before Mega Evolution, huh? I need to avoid it at all costs! From what Samson said, all Z-Moves were damage-based, then I'll need to avoid them than blocking would only reduce the damage.'
With Blue's caution shown, Azure roared, his voice synchronized with the tremor beneath Scizor's feet, "Now Eevee!"
*RMBL*
Azure strikes a series of poses as he finishes building up Z-Power. At the same time, Eevee erupted from the ground directly under the unsuspecting Scizor.
But Blue, overly cautious, quickly ordered, "Now! Use Agility to get away, Scizor!"
*Wooosh*
Scizor managed to use Agility on time to avoid the attack as Blue eyes narrowed with a sly grin in a confident tone, thought, 'Sorry, but whatever Z-Move you have in mind won't work! I've prepared to avoid such effects against you – '
*Shiii*
But what Blue saw surprised him, as he was expecting a Z-Move attack from Eevee, not what Azure did. Azure roared as he unleashed Eevee's Z-Move, "Let's do this, Eevee! Z-Move! Extreme Evoboost!"
Just as Eevee burst into the air, a faint, golden aura began to shimmer around its body, its fur on its neck ruff glowing with Z-Power. Eevee then releases a rainbow-colored pulse of energy from its body, summoning one of each of its evolved forms to its position from nearby areas.
*SHIII*
Each of its Evolutions then becomes surrounded by an orb of energy that matches its color and rises into the air. Each of them then fires a beam of energy at Eevee, causing it to become covered in a rainbow-colored aura and get powered up.
Blue's eyes widened in disbelief as he yelled, "What is that energy?"
Azure thrust his hand forward. He grinned as he ordered Eevee, "Tap into that power, Eevee! Use Sizzly Slide!"
*Ssss*
Eevee rushes forward with incredible speed, surprising Blue and Scizor. Eevee coats itself in fire and charges at Scizor, managing to land a hit.
*BASH*
Scizor recoiled in pain, surprised how Eevee managed to catch up to it. Blue was the same baffled as he muttered, "The hell! Eevee shouldn't have matched Scizor's speed with Agility increasing his unless…"
Blue then realized something was off as his Scizor landed. It was burned from the Sizzly Slide, but a noticeable dent was seen as Blue eyes narrowed as he muttered, "I see… Eevee's stats have drastically increased, haven't they?"
Azure simply grinned as he thought proudly of his Partner Eevee's Z-Move, 'Heh. Not like I'll answer, but with Extreme Evoboost, Eevee just increased its Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed stats by +2 each. Add that with Eevee's +2 Attack from Swords Dance and +1 Evasion… this little Eevee just became your biggest threat…'
It was their secret weapon. Blue, meanwhile, frowned, regaining his composure as he ordered swiftly, "Tch with Burn, it'll be hard for Scizor to continue fighting. Much less its combat power lowered because of it… use Rest."
Scizor soon became drowsy as it began to sleep, recovering its health and eliminating the Burn Status condition. Azure frowned as he ordered, "Eevee! Use Freezy Frost!"
*Gulp*
Just as Azure made its command, Scizor ate its [Chesto Berry] held item. Its eyes shot open to see a freezing mist almost covering it as Blue ordered, "Baton Pass!"
*Wooosh*
Jumping back in time, Scizor raises its hands into the air and goes back into its Poké Ball, transferring its +2 Attack and Speed. Blue switches as he hurled his next Poke Ball, "Alright! Let's do this… Charizard!"
*Pop*
When the next Pokémon is sent out, all Scizor's stat changes are added to the next sent-out Pokémon, being Charizard. Azure frowned as he commanded, "Now, Eevee! Use Baton Pass as well!"
Eevee smirked as it raised its tail into the air and went back into its Poke Ball, transferring its +4 Attack, +2 Speed, Def, Sp. Def, Sp. Attack, and +1 Evasion. Azure looked at his choices, smirking as he hurled his next pick, "Let's do this! Go! Houndoom!"
*Pop*
A sleek, black-and-orange Pokémon emerged with a low growl, its rib-like external bones giving it a menacing appearance with its held item [Houndoomnite] wrapped securely on its dog collar. It locked eyes with the towering Charizard, unafraid, "Awoo!!"
Blue's smirk widened. He asked curiously, eyeing the dog collar around Houndoom's neck, "A Fire/Dark-type Houndoom against my Charizard? Bold move. Let's see how it pays off. Charizard, Dragon Dance now!"
*Shiii*
Charizard, given the chance to set up, danced further, increasing its stats into now a total of +3 Attack and Speed. But Azure wasn't waiting, declaring, raising his left hand, "There's no time to waste!"
The Key Stone embedded in his glove began to glow with a brilliant, rainbow light, connecting with the [Houndoomnite] clasped around his Pokémon's neck. He declared seriously, "From this point on, let's go all out, Blue! Houndoom, time to go beyond! Mega Evolution!"
Blue's eyes widened slightly, the smirk momentarily vanishing. But then expressed a serious look as he thought, 'And finally the last one! Using up both his Z-Move and Mega Evolution means his finally out of cards to play! Now… I've just gotta power through his remaining Pokémon! Time for the Houndoom sweep!'
*Zzzzz*
Streams of coruscating energy enveloped Houndoom. Its form twisted and reformed, growing larger, more fearsome. The bone-like armor on its back extended into a wicked, spinal crest.
The horns on its head curled into a demonic diadem, and its claws grew longer, sharper. Blue fire licked at its maw as it let out a howl that echoed with newfound power. Mega Houndoom had arrived, "Awoooo!!!"
The sun beat down on the stadium, and Azure saw his opening. He ordered, "Let's do this Houndoom! Sunny Day!"
*Sheee*
Mega Houndoom barked, firing a sphere of golden light into the sky. The stadium lights seemed to dim as an intense, artificial sun blazed to life above the battlefield, intensifying the heat.
Blue narrowed his eyes, recognizing the strategy as he thought cautiously, 'Sunny Day would power up Fire-type moves for both Pokémon. But the real question is… why give this benefit to me as well…'
Blue suddenly felt uneasy seeing Azure's call, unaware of Houndoom's new ability as it performed Mega Evolution. Under the harsh sunlight activated Mega Houndoom's ability, Solar Power, drastically boosting its Special Attack at the cost of some health each turn.
It was a high-risk, high-reward gambit. Blue commanded, trying to seize back control, "Don't let him set the pace! Flamethrower!"
*Ssssss*
Charizard inhaled, its chest swelling, and unleashed a torrent of fire, magnified by the harsh sunlight, into a raging inferno. Azure countered swiftly, "Meet it head-on! Strong Style! Dark Pulse!"
*PEW*
Mega Houndoom didn't flinch from the oncoming flames. It opened its jaws and fired a wave of pulsating, dark rings.
*BOOOM*
Both attacks collided in the center of the field with a cataclysmic explosion of fire and darkness. Smoke and steam billowed across the arena, obscuring both Pokémon from view.
The crowd was on its feet, a unified roar of anticipation. Blue swiftly ordered, "Rush ahead, Charizard! Dragon Rush!"
Azure yelled into the haze, "Now, Sucker Punch!"
*Zoooom*
Before Blue or his Charizard could react, Mega Houndoom shot through the smoke like a phantom, its body cloaked in dark energy. It moved with blinding speed, a priority strike aimed before Charizard could launch its attack.
*SMACK*
It slammed headfirst into the larger Pokémon's side. Charizard roared in pain and surprise, stumbling back several feet.
The hit was solid, amped by +4 Attack. But Charizard stood its ground, glaring as Blue admitted, his competitive spirit now fully ignited, "You're quicker than you look…"
The smirk was gone, replaced by a look of intense focus. He ordered swiftly, "But power is everything! Charizard! Point blank Earthquake!"
*Wooosh*
Charizard immediately snatched Mega Houndoom, slamming it down onto the ground. And without a second thought, it stomps its foot over it against the ground, creating a powerful earthquake that shakes the surrounding area to its core.
*RMBL*
Mega Houndoom recoiled from the pain it felt, causing Azure to be alerted. Blue orders swiftly in a determined tone, "Drag it up into the air, Charizard! Use – "
But Azure interrupted Blue in the moment, "Now! Roar!"
*Snap*
Mega Houndoom's eyes snapped open, growling at Charizard. It roared at it defiantly, "Awooo!!! (GET OFF!!)"
*Swooosh*
Charizard flinched as it was forcibly sent back, much to Blue's surprise as he thought bitterly, 'Did he seriously taught all his Pokemon Roar?! What a pain this guy is...!!'
Mega Houndoom stood up again, growling as Blue's to bring out his last Pokémon that had remaining full health left…
*Pop*
*RMBL*
The ground shuddered as the Armor Pokémon Tyranitar materialized. It was a colossus of rock and shadow, its craggy, dark green hide looking as tough as a mountain range.
It let out a guttural roar that shook the stadium, and with its presence, the very air began to change, "GRAOOOO!!!"
*Wooosh*
A fierce sandstorm immediately whipped up, summoned by Tyranitar's Sand Stream ability, obscuring the sky and stinging the skin. Mega Houndoom growled at it, "Awooo!!! (Bring it on, you pebble!)"
Both locked eyes as the battle between the two was coming to an end. Azure and Blue eyes narrowed, feeling in the next few moves would determine who'd win or lose this round…

Anyway... How do you guys like this match this far? As for why Carolina Cythina's grandmother is upset, do know that in the Pokémon Adventures universe, some moves aren't well spread or known in other regions.
Such as the Secret Techniques of the Starter Pokémon like Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, and Hydro Cannon. Figured it would be a good time to explain why early moves were exclusive to each Region this way.
Also, would you guys like some comments from other Trainers in between fights? Like how Cynthia's Grandmother was shocked seeing the Draco Meteor move or others reacting to the MC's Pokémon growth?
