Chapter 1: Chapter 1- Aster
"Ugh... what happened to me?" I muttered, trying to piece together the fragments of my memory. "I think I was looking for a place to rest when suddenly a truck came at me from out of nowhere. Literally, I was sandwiched between two walls when this truck just crashed through and hit me." I could still hear the screech of tires, the sound of the impact ringing in my ears.
I was on my way home from work, just walking, when it happened. The truck came rushing toward me like a wild animal hunting its prey.
"I don't know why, but my body froze. I could feel a chill on my neck as I recalled the moment." My breath hitched. "Ugh... okay. But now, where am I? Why is everything white?"
Suddenly, everything around me grew brighter, and a winged entity appeared before me, sitting on a desk.
The angel spoke with a calm, almost indifferent expression. "So, here you are… an 18-year-old orphan. You'll be reincarnated. Since I know you're a special case, you'll remember your old life. Other than that, there's not much to say. Anyway, I'm here to answer any questions you might have. You'll be reincarnated because the one controlling the truck was a celestial being. He was just having a little fun, but the truck got out of control. It crashed into a building, but the celestial managed to make the truck intangible for a brief moment. However, he didn't realize he hit you until after he stopped and saw blood on the wheels. He could have saved your life, but after seeing your circumstances, he decided to give you another chance."
The angel paused, her gaze distant. "As for why he didn't notice earlier, well... let's just say he was 'too busy' with his own 'road issues.' Anyway, back to the chance you're being given. After realizing your life wasn't exactly ideal, the celestial god decided to offer you three wishes. He's not here because, well, he's busy."
She cleared her throat and continued. "I'll give you an hour to think about it. You're being sent to a world that's... well, unknown to you. So choose wisely."
"Yes, uhhh... okay," I muttered, still trying to process everything.
After a few moments of deep breathing, I finally calmed myself enough to think.
"Alright. My first wish... I want to be reborn in a world where there's not too much danger, and I can live a happy life."
The angel nodded. "Noted. Next."
"Next... I want a system. A special system that will help me along my journey."
The angel raised an eyebrow, clearly already knowing what was coming. "Okay, okay. That one's been pretty common lately."
"And... I want everyone in the orphanage to live happy lives," I added quickly, thinking of the children I left behind.
The angel nodded after writing things on a notepad and then spoke...
"Alright, then. Your wishes are granted." The angel's voice softened. "Farewell, human."
Just as I was about to ask one more question, the world around me began to fade.
"Damn it, I forgot to tell him where he's going…" The angel muttered to herself, but it was too late.
[World Selected: Pokemon]
I could feel my body dissolving, my consciousness slipping away.
"Wait... am I going to the Pokémon world?" I panicked. "Am I reincarnating as a Pokémon?!"
I tried to move, but my body felt... odd. My arms were strangely unfamiliar. I attempted to open my eyes, but a wave of pain shot through me, forcing me to close them again. It felt like my body was still adjusting.
"Wait... I'm a boy," I thought, confused.
I could hear murmurs nearby, but it was hard to focus.
Lorelei POV
"So... your name will be—"
I paused, thinking about what to name the baby.
"Aster." I finally said.
The nurse smiled as she looked down at the baby. "Awwww... this baby is so cute."
Looking at my child, I was overwhelmed. I had considered abortion once, feeling unsure about being a mother. But looking at Aster now, I knew I had made the right decision. I would give this child everything I never had.
Aster POV
Everything was bright orange... no, wait. My eyes were still closed. As I struggled to open them, a sharp pain radiated through my head. Slowly, after several attempts, I managed to pry my eyes open.
Before me stood a woman with fiery red hair, her eyes as blue as the ocean. She was beautiful—flawless skin glowing in the soft light. I blinked, still trying to make sense of the situation.
