Pokémon Breeder In One Piece!

Chapter 342: Chapter 342

Pokémon Alliance Calendar Year 2, May 1st

Labor Day, a public holiday on Pokémon Island, had arrived.

For most professions in this world, it marked a day off. Students, in particular, enjoyed a generous five-day break.

This holiday was unique to Pokémon Island, having no equivalent in the worlds of shinobi or pirates. Other worlds had their own celebrations, and yet the people of Pokémon Island basked in the envy of workers from other dimensions.

Five Days Earlier

Might Guy, the "Aura Guardian," and Otohime, the "Guardian of Yggdrasil," had successfully completed their respective trials and inherited the "Aura Force" and "Evergreen Power."

For Guy, who maintained an unyielding regimen of rigorous training even on Pokémon Island, these trials were far less daunting. His synergy with Riolu was impeccable, showcasing exceptional combat prowess during the tests.

For Otohime, however, the situation was vastly different.

Physically frail and easily fatigued, Otohime struggled every step of the way. Her trials, focused on moral integrity rather than strength, still presented life-threatening challenges. Yet, her determination was unwavering. Each time she fell, she stood back up, refusing to give up.

Motivated by the progress of her family, Otohime saw this opportunity as her chance to contribute. The idea of becoming the Guardian of Yggdrasil and bringing pride to her husband and children filled her with resolve.

Even Celebi, moved by her perseverance, subtly intervened multiple times, helping her reach the final stage of inheritance.

The next day, the Pokémon Alliance officially announced the existence of two chosen ones.

Their identities, however, were kept secret to avoid disrupting their daily lives. Should either of them boast and attract attention, it would no longer be the Alliance's concern.

As recognition, both were granted residences near Yggdrasil.

While Guy, as an Aura Guardian, could live elsewhere, Otohime, as the Guardian of Yggdrasil, had no choice but to reside close to the World Tree.

Fortunately, she had the company of Primarina and Celebi, ensuring she wouldn't feel too lonely.

Present Day

Dak was busy enrolling Esdeath in Pokémon Academy.

"Why do I have to attend the Academy?" Esdeath complained.

Faced with a choice between "swimming ten kilometers" or "studying for an hour," she would unhesitatingly choose the former.

"I'll be busy for a while," Dak explained, tapping her forehead lightly. "You already know your training routines. You don't need my supervision, but you do need deeper Pokémon knowledge."

Dak was preparing to connect with a new world. Having learned from his experience with the shinobi world, he meticulously cleared his current responsibilities to ensure no important matters were left unresolved.

Given the unknown circumstances of this new world, Dak might be gone for months or even years.

"I can train and study on my own without going to the Academy," Esdeath insisted.

"You think you can learn without guidance? And drop your arrogance. Do you think you're better than the students at the Academy?"

Her dismissive attitude toward other students was evident to Dak.

"I can take on ten of them at once!" Esdeath declared proudly.

Dak chuckled, shaking his head. "You're overestimating yourself. In the shinobi world or at sea, you wouldn't stand a chance against even one of them."

He continued, "Those kids are Trainers. Their Pokémon battle alongside them. Don't underestimate them or their Pokémon. This world revolves around Pokémon. Right now, you couldn't last five minutes against even a young Pokémon."

Esdeath looked down at her Alolan Vulpix and Shiny Ralts, visibly deflated.

"Woof!"

The Vulpix barked at her, locking eyes with its trainer.

Even Dak found the fox's canine sound baffling.

"Ralts~"

The Ralts in her arms was an ice-blue variant, matching Esdeath's hair. Despite its soft and adorable appearance, it was male, unlike the female Vulpix beside it.

"I'll give you and Vulpix a month. By then, you might not even last five minutes against her."

Reluctantly, Esdeath agreed to enroll.

"You must value Pokémon and treat them well. I'll be taking on two more disciples soon. Don't let them surpass you. Learn from the Academy's excellent teachers and interact with your peers."

'Those peers might someday support you as the next Alliance Leader,' Dak thought, but left unsaid.

As the founding leader, any hint of favoritism could sway perceptions, so Dak refrained from disclosing Esdeath's status as his disciple until after the next leader was elected.

Later, Dak informed the Pokémon Daycare members about the new world connection, urging them to prepare for his absence.

Madara and Izuna, intrigued by the idea of a new world, expressed interest in joining him. However, Dak declined, prioritizing safety until he fully understood the new world.

That night, Dak stood at the edge of Pokémon Island.

Beside him were Origin Dialga, Origin Palkia, and Darkrai.

Without hesitation, Darkrai merged into Dak's shadow.

"Roar of Time, Spacial Rend."

Following Dak's command, Dialga and Palkia unleashed their signature moves, targeting a singular point in the fabric of space.
