Chapter 17: Chapter 17: The Grand Finals – Alex vs. Daniel!
The day had finally come.
After weeks of battles, victories, and intense training, only two trainers remained—Alex Ketchum and Daniel Oak.
The final battle of the Kanto League Tournament was about to begin.
The crowd was deafening, chanting the names of both trainers. This wasn't just another championship match—it was a battle between rivals, friends, and the strongest trainers of this generation.
From the VIP stands, Professor Oak, Delia Ketchum, and even Lance of the Elite Four watched with keen interest.
Cynthia, sitting with the Elite Four, smirked. "Let's see what Alex can do."
Caitlin, sitting nearby, muttered, "Daniel won't lose."
The announcer's voice boomed through the stadium.
"Ladies and gentlemen! This is it! The Grand Finals of the Kanto League Tournament! Two trainers remain—Alex Ketchum and Daniel Oak! Who will claim the title of Kanto Champion?!"
The crowd erupted in cheers as Alex and Daniel stepped onto the battlefield.
Daniel grinned, adjusting his gloves. "This is it, Alex. No holding back."
Alex smirked. "Wouldn't dream of it."
The referee stepped forward. "This will be a Full 6-on-6 battle! Trainers, send out your first Pokémon!"
Both trainers grabbed their Pokéballs, the final battle about to begin.

Battle 1: Lucario vs. Rhyperior
Daniel grinned. "Let's start strong! Go, Rhyperior!"
A massive Rhyperior emerged, slamming its fists together as the ground trembled beneath it.
Alex smirked. "Lucario, let's go!"
Lucario appeared, eyes locked onto Rhyperior with a calm but intense gaze.
The referee raised his flag. "Battle… BEGIN!"
Daniel went on the offensive. "Rhyperior, Stone Edge!"
Rhyperior summoned razor-sharp stones, launching them at Lucario.
Alex countered. "Dodge and use Aura Sphere!"
Lucario leaped over the attack, charging up a glowing blue Aura Sphere before launching it at Rhyperior.
BOOM!
The attack hit directly, but Rhyperior barely flinched due to its high defense.
Daniel smirked. "Not bad, but let's see how you handle this. Earthquake!"
Rhyperior slammed its foot into the ground, causing a massive tremor that shook the battlefield.
Lucario tried to maintain balance but was caught in the shockwave, taking heavy damage.
Alex narrowed his eyes. "Lucario, Close Combat!"
Lucario charged forward, unleashing a rapid flurry of punches and kicks, striking Rhyperior relentlessly.
BAM! BAM! BAM!
The final blow sent Rhyperior staggering backward… and then collapsing!
"Rhyperior is unable to battle! Lucario wins!"
The crowd roared with excitement as Daniel recalled his Pokémon.
Daniel grinned. "Not bad. But let's see how you handle this one."
He grabbed his next Pokéball. "Go, Scizor!"
---
Battle 2: Lucario vs. Scizor
Scizor emerged in a flash, its red metallic body gleaming as its sharp pincers clamped together with a loud snap.
Alex smirked. "Lucario, let's go again!"
Daniel wasted no time. "Scizor, Bullet Punch!"
Scizor moved faster than the eye could see, slamming Lucario with a high-speed metallic punch before it could react.
Lucario skidded backward, struggling to stay on its feet.
Alex narrowed his eyes. "Lucario, Blaze Kick!"
Lucario ignited its foot with flames, lunging toward Scizor—
Daniel smirked. "Counter with X-Scissor!"
Scizor's pincers glowed green, forming an X-shaped energy slash—
CLASH!
Both attacks connected, sending both Pokémon flying backward.
Lucario barely managed to stand, breathing heavily.
Alex clenched his fists. "One more hit… Lucario, use Aura Sphere!"
Lucario charged up a powerful blue orb, launching it at Scizor.
Daniel grinned. "Dodge and use Iron Head!"
Scizor sidestepped the attack, then slammed its metallic head into Lucario!
BAM!
Lucario collapsed.
"Lucario is unable to battle! Scizor wins!"
The crowd cheered as Alex recalled Lucario.
Alex smirked. "Alright… time for round two. Go, Charizard!"

Battle 3: Charizard vs. Scizor
The moment Charizard appeared, the temperature in the stadium rose.
Daniel's eyes narrowed. "Tch… this isn't good."
Alex grinned. "Charizard, Flamethrower!"
Charizard unleashed a massive stream of fire, completely engulfing Scizor!
BOOM!
When the flames faded, Scizor was knocked out instantly.
"Scizor is unable to battle! Charizard wins!"
Daniel groaned, recalling Scizor. "That was fast."
He grabbed another Pokéball. "Alright, let's turn this around. Go, Blastoise!"
A massive Blastoise appeared, water cannons ready for battle.
Alex grinned. "This is going to be fun."
---
Battle 4: Charizard vs. Blastoise
Daniel smirked. "Blastoise, Hydro Pump!"
Blastoise fired two massive water jets, aiming directly at Charizard!
Alex reacted fast. "Dodge and use Dragon Claw!"
Charizard soared into the sky, avoiding the attack, before swooping down with glowing green claws!
Daniel countered. "Use Ice Beam!"
Blastoise fired a freezing beam, hitting Charizard mid-air—
Charizard crashed to the ground, covered in frost.
Alex clenched his fists. "Get up, Charizard!"
Charizard roared, shaking off the ice.
Alex grinned. "Use Thunder Punch!"
Charizard's fist crackled with electricity, punching Blastoise directly in the face!
BOOM!
Blastoise staggered… then collapsed.
"Blastoise is unable to battle! Charizard wins!"
Daniel clenched his teeth. "Damn…"

The Final Battle: Hisuian Arcanine vs. Garchomp
Daniel smirked. "Time for my ace. Go, Hisuian Arcanine!"
A massive Hisuian Arcanine appeared, lava-like fur glowing intensely.
Alex grinned. "Garchomp, let's end this!"
Garchomp emerged, staring down Arcanine with fierce determination.
The entire stadium went silent.
Daniel smirked. "This is it, Alex. Winner takes all."
Alex nodded. "Let's give them a battle they'll never forget."
The referee raised his flag.
