Pokemon: Rising From The Dark

Three days passed in a flash.

During these three days, Aoki took Shelgon and Horsea to constantly provoke three Combee tribes and fight with them. Although Shelgon had just evolved, with guidance from Kommo-o, its understanding of combat and control of energy were greatly improved, making them even more fearless in battle. Defense is what current Shelgon is best at. After a period of fighting, Horsea finally evolved into Seadra. While evolving, it used qualification potion prepared by Aoki.

After evolution, its talent was upgraded to cyan and its level was raised to level 35. Recent improvement had been rapid because previous accumulation and sedimentation period was long enough. However, after Horsea evolved into Seadra, its characteristic became Poison Point. Only by evolving into Kingdra can characteristic be changed to Swift Swim again. It is neither strongest nor one with greatest potential in Aoki's team, but as mentioned not long ago, qualifications of a Pokemon are largely a prerequisite, though they cannot be considered most important condition. For example, current Seadra and Politoed are both prepared for rainy day team. Maybe combat capability they displayed was not very strong, but all of this was prepared for Aoki's Rainy Day Legion. Not to mention it is for Rainy Day Team; a Rainy Day Team is not enough to reflect effect of combination of characteristics of these two Pokemon. As long as Gengar, attribute converter, exists, all Pokemon can exert super strength in rain.

Seadra had reached level 35, and Shelgon had reached level 36. Level increases of two Pokemon were relatively large, and they had both completed their evolution. However, three days later, two of them could no longer participate in battle because Combee had already noticed existence of Aoki and others. As soon as they approached Combee Forest, Pokemon that came out would no longer be just a few, and their level was not something that Shelgon and Seadra could handle. So when he came here again today, Aoki brought Aggron and Swampert with him: a level 56 Aggron and a level 57 Swampert. As long as two Pokemon cooperated well enough, they could challenge entire Combee colony. They came here today with this goal in mind.

Unlike usual practice of slowly wearing away Combee's vitality, this time they entered in a completely direct and aggressive manner. Aoki sat on sofa, and his psychic powers could drag him to walk, so Slowking did not follow him this time. Kirlia could cover such a short distance with her teleportation. Today it was Gengar's turn to protect them. Now, every day, three official Champion-level Pokemon—Slowking, Gengar, and Florges—were responsible for taking turns providing protection. Rest of Pokemon were training in camp. Pace was same as Aoki's in Verdanturf Town; only difference was that wild Pokemon here were of a higher level, and Aoki's own body was still paralyzed. Three days had passed, and Aoki's body still could not move freely. Only muscles and joints below elbow of his right hand could move freely.

Bang—bang—

Aggron and Swampert, two Pokemon, rushed to front, and any Combee and Vespiquen that came up could not withstand their punches. It didn't take long before they entered deepest part of Combee Forest. This was first time they had arrived here in these three days. Looking at towering ancient trees, there were beehives everywhere, and three kinds of Combee busy coming in and out. Beehive on big tree in middle was largest, and number of Combee coming in and out was also largest. "This should be hive where Vespiquen leader is located," Aoki thought when he saw hive.

Seeing Aoki and others appear, all Combee immediately put down what they were doing and surrounded them. "Ong——" A peculiar sound came from largest hive. Vespiquen leader flew out of hive, followed closely by two menacing-looking Combee. With appearance of Vespiquen, all Combee immediately saluted her respectfully. Hierarchy in Combee colony is very strict, and Vespiquen leader can decide life and death of all members of colony because all other Vespiquen are born from her, and a Vespiquen can also control Combee she gave birth to. Layer upon layer of suppression means that she can control all Combee. This Vespiquen was Pokemon that Aoki had been looking forward to.

She was indeed a superb Vespiquen. Seeing data of this Vespiquen, Aoki narrowed his eyes slightly. No matter what, he would catch it first; its main function was to be a tool Pokemon anyway. "Aggron! Swampert! Your opponent today is here," Aoki said to Aggron and Swampert standing at front. In addition to Vespiquen, two Combee following her had also reached Champion level. It was just that inherent disadvantages of Pokemon like Combee were too obvious; their base stats were their fatal flaw. If Combee want to show their strength, they must assist Vespiquen. Aggron and Swampert looked at each other; they would not show mercy just because other party was a female Pokemon. "Aggron, Stone Edge!" "Swampert, Aqua Tail!" Aoki did not hesitate and directly ordered battle to begin. "Ong——" Vespiquen also chirped, and two Combee behind her immediately came close to her. Then, a large number of little Combee immediately emerged from hive under Vespiquen and rushed towards Swampert and Aggron. Attack Order! Vespiquen has special moves that are unique to her and can only be used by her. She commanded group of little Combee with fierce momentum, aiming stingers on their abdomens at them.
