Paul initially planned to use Aaron's Pokémon to test if this Gardevoir was worth the training, but the power disparity was too great to gauge anything. With no other choice, he sent out another Pokémon to continue the battle.

"Ursaring, get ready for battle!"

"Activate Guts!"

"Ursaa!"

With a deafening roar, the massive Ursaring landed heavily on the ground. The Flame Orb it held activated, instantly engulfing its body in flames. Its muscles tensed, and its eyes gleamed crimson.

Burned!

Guts activated!

Attack power increased!

"Oh wow, that's one massive Ursaring. This is going to be fun."

Aaron's initial surprise gave way to excitement. He commanded, "Vespiquen, use Slash! Let's see its strength."

"Buzzzz~"

Vespiquen buzzed forward and closed the gap between herself and Ursaring in an instant. Her glowing claws swiped downward.

"Endure it!"

In its Guts-enhanced state, Ursaring's combat instincts were heightened. It immediately raised its paw to counter with Hammer Arm.

As a move that doubles in power under a status condition, Hammer Arm was extraordinarily potent in this moment.

The clash between Slash and Hammer Arm triggered an explosion, sending shockwaves that blew both Pokémon back.

"Impressive strength."

Aaron's eyes gleamed with approval. This Ursaring had managed to suppress and repel his Vespiquen in a single exchange—a testament to its formidable power.

"Bulk Up!"

Acknowledging the strength disparity, Paul instructed Ursaring to focus on strengthening itself before launching a decisive attack.

"Return, Vespiquen. Drapion will enjoy dealing with this big guy."

As Ursaring powered up, Aaron didn't intervene. Instead, he withdrew Vespiquen with a smile and tossed another Poké Ball.

"Rooooar!"

A fierce Drapion appeared on the battlefield. Despite being much smaller than Ursaring, it showed no fear. Instead, its eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Drapion, use Cross Poison!"

"Rooooar!"

Drapion charged forward, its pincers crossing as they glowed with a purple aura.

"Hammer Arm!"

"Ursaa!"

Ursaring, now powered up from Bulk Up and Guts, responded with a devastating punch. The two attacks collided head-on, and for a moment, Ursaring seemed to gain the upper hand, forcing Drapion back.

"Rooooar!"

However, Drapion's eyes glimmered with even more excitement as it resisted, pushing harder against Ursaring's strength.

"Hammer Arm!"

Ursaring used one paw to block while its other paw swung downward, aiming to crush Drapion.

Crack!

"Ursaa!"

To everyone's shock, Drapion's two pincers swiftly clamped down on Ursaring's arms, locking them in place.

"Fire Punch! Stomp!"

Flames erupted across Ursaring's body as it unleashed a fiery barrage at close range, all while stomping the ground violently to generate seismic waves.

"Rooooar!"

Drapion grimaced from the damage, but its tenacity didn't waver.

"That's one fiery bear you've got there. Drapion, use Ice Fang and Brick Break!"

Drapion's pincers shimmered with icy blue energy as it countered the flames, its chilling bite suppressing the fire.

At the same time, Drapion's tail swung around and clamped down on Ursaring's neck.

It's super effective!

With all three pincers working together, Drapion lifted Ursaring's massive frame and hurled it to the ground with a thundering crash.

"Finish it with Hyper Beam!"

Aaron smiled faintly as Drapion charged up energy.

A beam of concentrated light erupted from Drapion's mouth, striking Ursaring directly.

Boom!

The explosion sent Ursaring's enormous body hurtling back to the ground, leaving a deep crater where it landed.

"Grotle, get ready for battle."

Paul calmly recalled Ursaring and sent out his next Pokémon.

"Grrr~"

As soon as it entered the battlefield, Grotle rooted itself into the ground, activating Sunny Day to take advantage of the weather.

"Huh?"

Aaron blinked, momentarily thrown off by Grotle's methodical preparation.

"Solar Beam!"

With the blazing sun overhead, Grotle unleashed a powerful Solar Beam that shot straight at Drapion.

Caught off guard, Drapion had no time to counter and was forced to block with its claws.

"Break it apart!"

Drapion's tail lashed out, shattering the beam mid-air.

"Power Whip! Giga Drain!"

Paul issued his commands.

Massive roots erupted from the ground, entangling Drapion and siphoning its energy while slamming it repeatedly.

In a matter of moments, Drapion was wrapped in a cocoon of roots, glowing faintly as its energy was drained.

"Whoa, Grotle knows Power Whip? That's insane!"

"Never seen anything like this before."

Aaron buzzed with confusion as Drapion struggled within the root cocoon.

"Leech Seed!"

Grotle launched a seed that embedded itself into the root cocoon, sprouting vines that further sapped Drapion's strength.

"Rooooar!"

At first, Drapion remained unfazed, but as seconds passed, its energy drained faster, and its movements grew sluggish.

"Drapion, use Fire Fang and Toxic Fang to break free!"

Aaron snapped back to attention, giving urgent commands.

Inside the cocoon, Drapion unleashed flames, poison, and ice in a desperate bid to escape.

The struggle dragged on for ten tense seconds before Drapion finally broke free.

Though battered, Drapion stood its ground, glaring at Grotle with a mix of exhaustion and defiance.

"Overgrow! Activate!"

At that moment, Grotle glowed with an intense green light, signaling its ability activation.

Aaron, knowing that he almost lost this battle, said quickly:

"Drapion, Freeze Fang!"

"Roaar~"

Drapion dragged its tired body across the ground, and its three large pincers emitted cold energy and "bite" Grotle with all its strength.

"Solar Beam!"

As Drapion charged in, Grotle unleashed a full-powered Solar Beam, directly hitting Drapion.

Boom!

Bang!

Multiple collisions and explosions sounded simultaneously, and a light smoke enveloped the two.

"Roaaaar~"

Drapion slowly walked out of the smoke, roared towards the sky, and then slowly returned to Aaron.

When the smoke cleared, Grotle had fallen to the ground, unconscious.
