Pretending to Be an Untouchable Crime Boss

Chapter 273: Behind his Back?

Their moment together felt like everything had just stopped, that he was not who he was and for a moment it was good… the silence, the warmth of the sun, the hug, and the meaning of it.

It all was so… calm and refreshing.

Though not everybody had the privilege to be this calm, Finn himself was in the biggest operation since he was with the family.

"How much water is that?" Jack asked.

"A lot, I don't know but just buy the biggest one so we don't need to fuck around with it." Finn answered as he looked at the laptop.

They were literally only shopping for everything they needed to work with the drugs.

"What about the sprinklers? There are a whole lot of options." Jack said as he was browsing through all the options like he had some idea what those were.

"From the top we need mist ones, and then we need a line going into the pots to supply water for the roots." Finn explained. "So we need that," he pointed at the screen, "and the line on the pipe system on the left side." He pointed once again, but Jack got a little confused by it.

"But… aren't we doing a greenhouse?" He looked up at him. "We don't need pots, just like a garden bed or what they call it."

"Yeah but first we need to experiment with it, then expand the production. In pots it will be movable and we don't need to dig it out. So until we are 100 percent sure what it needs, how much care and things like that, we do it in pots."

Jack just seemed more confused about it. "Wait, are we talking about greenweed or white magic? Like the white magic roots are just too big and can break a flower pot."

"Greenweed, Jack." Finn looked at him. "I know James will want the pure greenweed and of course ones that are heavy hitters. We need to experiment with them to see how much water, fertilizer, and other things it needs to be a heavy hitters."

"Oh, though there are people who know how to take care of it… but I see you don't want people from outside to know about the production." Yeah, Jack understood it well and it was far better idea to experiment than just go out and gather experienced people with greenweed, people who can tell on them, tell where the warehouses and greenhouses are, and then they just get fucked by their enemies.

"Then sprinklers with mist, and the pipes into the pots… then shit, we need special pots that fit the pipe, then a pump that supplies the water from the tank, and the whole watering system itself… that will be expensive."

"But it will bring in millions." Finn hit his shoulder as he got out his notes. "One warehouse greenhouse can fit, let's say, 150. What is the effective range of the sprinklers?"

Jack clicked on it. "It says… it mists up to one and a half meters, but it depends how high it is placed."

"Then one sprinkler can mist three plants, so we need 50 sprinklers for one warehouse. We will have six of them so add 350 sprinklers to the cart and six watering systems, six tanks, six pumps, 900 pots and pipes, and a watering line, like 500 meters."

"Shit, they will think we are a big-ass flower company or some farmers." Jack laughed as he was adding the thing into the cart.

"We are if you think about it." Finn chuckled. "Though it is just a test run, if it works we will build better and more effective ones."

"For testing, spending 43 thousand is something else." He looked up at Finn. "And we didn't even add fertilizers and other shit, like lamps."

Yeah, the lamps that were needed to get the greenweed to grow faster.

"We don't really need that, the greenhouses will have enough light, and the warehouse has roof windows letting in natural sun, but if not then we cut the roof and add more." He said it like he was a builder or something as he was flipping his notes.

Jack laughed again as he shook his head, and it was just crazy. Out of nowhere Finn calls him and then just shows up, and without any proper experience, they are building up a drug farm… though it is exciting.

"What address should I add to the delivery?" Jack asked.

"The real estate company, I already informed them that our package will go there and where to move it."

"Still, it feels risky, doesn't it? Like even the blind can see this is a setup for something illegal." Jack said as he went on to order all of it.

"They can report it, yeah, but we have everything on our side so don't worry." Finn said as he tapped his shoulder once again. "Don't forget your job though."

"Selecting people for gardening… best job." He sighed as he leaned back in his chair.

"Not just gardening, I want people who are gentle with them, one wrong move and the whole thing can go wrong. Oh, talking about wrong, also order graded masks and chemical suits too with sprayers, but only pump or electric ones, that's it."

In that moment, as Finn said it, Jack now got the feeling that, shit, he truly could fuck up who he chose, because if things truly went wrong, millions would be wasted. He kinda got stressed.

Though he had one more question.

"What about the white magic?"

"I gave the task to Pipa, he was in Dennus with Hector, and even visited the camps, so he and the workers who were at the camps doing preparation for the white magic, they know what they're doing."

Finn explained, and it made a lot of sense, giving it to those who were sweating and got bitten by hundreds of mosquitoes in the jungle is the best thing. They know what to do and how to do it, and they are in the family, not outsiders.

A step that saves a lot of time.

"Any other questions before I go?" He looked at Jack.

"Yeah, that double shoulder holster… is it effective or do you do it for the look?" He smiled because Finn really looked badass with it.

"Of course for the look, I even have my legal carry permit." He smiled. "But it's not very effective, at least for me. I sometimes wear a bulletproof vest too and that's just uncomfortable, though that is why I have a backup gun at my waist."

Now, what was shocking about it was that Finn actually had a gun license, even a carry license.

"Ohh, so you only use those two if you want to look cool?"

"Yeah, just imagine I walk through the door pulling these two out like a badass motherfucker." He gestured with his hands like he was shooting.

They both laughed at it and Finn was truly ready to leave until a loud bang echoed through the whole warehouse.

Then another bang and another… it was muffled, coming from inside of something, and as Finn looked toward the sound he immediately understood what was going on.

It was six barrels.

"Isn't that too cruel?" He asked as he looked back at Jack, who was still smiling but had that different look in his eyes.

"It's kinda surprising to hear it from you."

"Yeah, but I usually don't close them in a barrel and let them suffocate." He looked once again at the barrels, reading the label, then back to Jack. "Into oil barrels… that's just barbarian, nothing beautiful in it."

"Well, maybe it is barbarian, but they deserve it. Those rats in the last few days literally all over the place, breaking in cars, warehouses, everywhere… a fucking gang… though not anymore."

"Ohh, they tried to rob this warehouse?" Finn asked, because it was just a dumb thing… like outside of the city in a run-down warehouse, what could be in there for robbers? Nothing… at least now nothing, because it was full with money, guns, and white magic once.

"Well, not in the warehouse but the cars outside. Fucker smashed the window continuously with a bat, while five others had a gun to guard him, but when he realized the window was not going to break, they turned to another car. It was one of the workers' cars, which wasn't bulletproof, but they still fucked up as the alarm was screaming, we caught their ass."

"No shoot?" Finn asked, and Jack just laughed up once again.

"Those fuckers." He pointed at the barrels. "They had money for guns but not for bullets, not even one, and not just that, they even threw up fucking gang signs trying to intimidate us, but when they noticed that we have big guns with big bullets, they froze and begged for their life like little fucking pussies."

"Huh, at least you sometimes have some entertainment." Finn said, got to his jacket with a last look at the barrel and Jack. "See you soon." He turned and waved, but he couldn't even make one step.

"Finn." He called out his name. "What about the… you know, the business? Hector didn't say nothing and the buyers are—"

"James…" He turned back. "…well, he still doesn't know about it."
