Chapter 5: Chapter 5: The Boltzmann Memory
After escaping from the Blood Clan's territory and returning to the mysterious space, Kyle, Elena and Lucien did not have the slightest chance to catch their breath, and countless unknown dangers seemed to be lurking in the seemingly calm quantum energy around them. Kyle gripped the Geiger Counter tightly and gazed around vigilantly, beads of sweat on his forehead flickering in the dim light, his eyes revealing nervousness and determination. "This place may be quiet for now, but it always feels like there's something else staring at us from the shadows, everyone must not let their guard down." He said in a low voice, with a hint of fatigue in his voice, yet revealing unquestionable determination.
Elena nodded slightly, her long silver-white hair fluttering gently under the influence of the energy fluctuations, flickering with a mysterious blue light. The iris of the Klein Bottle topology in her left eye grew deeper and deeper, as if hiding endless mysteries, and the quantum entanglement rune at the nape of her neck emanated a shimmering light in a hidden manner. "Kyle's right, and we need to find a way out of here soon, and also figure out what happened to my handwriting on the deed." Her voice was calm and collected, still maintaining her sanity despite the great crisis she had just experienced, only her slightly trembling hands gave away her inner turmoil.
Lucien pricked up his silver-gray wolf ears, the vaguely Klein Bottle form on his ears fluttering slightly with his movements, the Yang-Mills equations rippling through the pupils of his eyes, carefully sensing the movement around him. "Whatever the danger, we face it together." He said firmly, the boldness and loyalty of a werewolf in his tone, the feral aura emanating from his body intensifying in the tense atmosphere.
The three of them continued to move forward carefully in the mysterious space, and the quantum energy around them was like a flowing curtain of light, constantly changing shapes and colors, sometimes surging like a raging tide, and sometimes as calm as the surface of a quiet lake. Suddenly, a strange light appeared ahead, and there seemed to be some blurred images flickering in the light. Kyle was the first to notice something strange, he raised his Geiger Counter and approached vigilantly, "There's something up ahead, everyone be careful."
As the distance gradually drew closer, those blurry images became clearer. They saw some people in ancient costumes, busy in a huge laboratory filled with all kinds of complicated instruments, the construction of which was very different from the modern technology they were familiar with, but vaguely revealed an aura related to quantum mechanics.
"This is ..." Elena covered her mouth in surprise, her eyes filled with shock and confusion.
Lucien's eyes widened as well, "These people look like they're conducting some sort of mysterious experiment, could this have something to do with the Observer program?"
Kyle scrutinized the images and noticed that one of the figures looked very familiar. "Elena, look at that person, doesn't she look like you?" He said as he pointed to a woman with long silver-white hair.
Elena's heart snapped as she looked toward the figure. "It's me ... but how is this possible? This looks like a scene from the 14th century, how could I be there?" Her voice trembled slightly, clearly shaken by the sight before her.
Just then, as if those images had sensed their presence, they suddenly approached rapidly towards them. Kyle, Elena, and Lucien subconsciously backed up, only to find that their retreat had been blocked by an invisible force at some point. "What's going on here?" Lucien said nervously, his body tensed up, ready to deal with any possible danger.
The images came closer and closer, eventually surrounding them. The images were no longer blurry phantoms, but became as real as entities. Kyle reached out to touch one of the images, only to find that his hand passed right through it, as if touching a cloud of smoke. "This seems to be a projection of some kind of memory, but why is it here?" Kyle said suspiciously.
Elena closed her eyes and concentrated on the images. She realized that the images seemed to contain some sort of information and tried to decipher it through her quantum senses. "These are Boltzmann memristors, memories of the past left in the form of quantum states. I can sense a close connection to the Observer program." She said slowly, a hint of surprise in her tone, finally finding a clue related to the mystery.
As Elena deciphered, the memory images they saw became clearer and clearer. In that laboratory in the 14th century, Elena (or someone who looked exactly like her) was arguing heatedly with a group of men in robes about something. Their language was ancient and obscure, but through quantum perception, Kyle, Elena, and Lucian could barely understand the meaning.
"We can't go on with this plan, it will bring endless disaster." The young Elena said, her eyes filled with worry and fear.
"This is our only chance, only by completing this plan will we be able to control time and space and realize true immortality." An old man responded firmly, his eyes revealing madness and persistence.
"Immortality? At what cost? Look at how many innocent casualties we've already caused, it defeats the purpose." Elena retorted angrily.
Kyle watched the scene with confusion, "So the Observer program has existed since the 14th century, what kind of experiments are they conducting?"
Lucien, on the other hand, was staring intently at the old man in the picture, "This old man looks very uncomplicated, he seems to be the leader of this plan."
Just then, the scene in the memory screen suddenly switched. They saw that Elena was locked in a huge crystal container, with strange light and energy surrounding her body. She was struggling in pain, despair written all over her face.
"Why are they doing this to her?" Kyle said heartily, anger in his eyes.
Elena looked at herself in the picture, a wave of complex emotions welling up in her heart. "I ... remember something. I once opposed the Observer program, and they imprisoned me, wanting to use my power to fulfill their ambitions." Her voice carried a hint of pain and helplessness, those painful memories that had been sealed in the depths of her memories coming like a tidal wave at the moment.
The memory continues to play and a young man appears in the picture. He had snuck into the lab and was trying to free Elena. Kyle was surprised to find that the man's face was a bit similar to his own. "Who is this man? Why does it look so much like me?" He asked suspiciously.
Elena looked at the man with tears glistening in her eyes, "He ... he is my husband. After I was imprisoned, he tried everything to save me."
Kyle's heart shook slightly as a complex emotion surged through him. He looked at Elena with a mixture of heartache for her past experiences and a hint of unspeakable jealousy. "So what happened then?" He asked softly.
The scene shows Elena's husband successfully opening the crystal container, but during their escape, they are pursued by a group of mysterious people. The two are separated in a fierce battle, and Elena's husband lures away the enemies alone to protect her, and ultimately lives or dies.
"No ..." Elena closed her eyes in pain, tears slipping down her cheeks. "I searched for him for a long time, but I never found him. I thought he had ..."
Kyle gently hugged Elena and comforted, "Don't be sad, maybe he's still alive. We'll find out for sure."
Lucien looked at this scene and felt some emotion in his heart. He frowned slightly and said, "But modern technological artifacts appear in these memories, this is too strange. how could there be these things in the 14th century?"
Kyle scrutinized the technological artifacts in the image and found that despite their ancient appearance, their internal construction and principles bore a striking resemblance to modern quantum technology. "This suggests that the Observer Program may have spanned time and space, that they were conducting related research in different eras, and that there must be some sort of connection between these researches." He speculated.
In search of more clues, they continued to delve into these Boltzmann memories. As they continued to explore, they discovered more information about the Observer Program. It turns out that the purpose of the Observer Program is to create an Observer who can control time and space by manipulating the power of quantum entanglement and the Higgs field, so as to realize absolute control over the universe. As the 13th Observer, Elena's blood and quantum state are believed to be the key to accomplishing this program.
"So, they've been using me." Elena gritted her teeth, her eyes filled with anger and resentment. "All those blood pacts, the mysterious experiments, it was all for this plan."
Kyle clenched his fists, "We can't let them get away with this. We must stop the Observer program and expose their plot."
Lucian nodded, "True, but we need more evidence and power now. These memories have given us a lot of clues, but they are not enough."
Just as they were discussing their next plan, the quantum energy around them suddenly fluctuated violently. Those Boltzmann memories began to become unstable, the images flickering as if they would disappear at any moment.
"Not good, someone is interfering with these memories." Elena said vigilantly.
Kyle quickly raised his Geiger counter and watched the energy changes, "The energy fluctuations are unusually strong, we'll have to be careful how we deal with them."
Suddenly, a huge quantum vortex formed in front of them, and a powerful suction force emanated from the vortex, which swept Kyle, Elena, and Lucien into it. The moment they were swept into the vortex, Kyle tightly held onto Elena's hand, while Lucien fought against the power of the vortex.
"Everyone hold on!" Kyle shouted, his voice faint against the whirring of the vortex.
When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves in a strange place. It was like a huge library, with shelves filled with all sorts of ancient books and scrolls, but the words and symbols on them were all words and symbols they had never seen before.
"Where are we?" Lucien asked suspiciously.
Elena looked around and said, "I'm not sure, but the aura of this place is mysterious, perhaps hiding more secrets about the Observer program."
Kyle walked over to a bookshelf and picked up an ancient book. As he flipped through the ancient book, a strange light shot out from the book and directly entered his mind. Kyle immediately felt a wave of dizziness as a large amount of information flooded into his brain.
"Kyle, what's wrong with you?" Elena and Lucien rushed over and held Kyle.
Kyle closed his eyes and tried to digest the information. After a while, he slowly opened his eyes, a surprised expression on his face, "I saw some key information about the Observer program, and ... some sights of the future. This place seems to connect the past, present, and future, we must explore carefully, and perhaps find a way to stop the Observer Program."
What challenges will Kyle, Elena and Lucien face in this mysterious library? Will they be able to find enough clues to stop the plot of the Observer Program? Everything is still unknown, but their hearts are filled with the firm belief that no matter how many difficulties and obstacles lie ahead, they will uncover the truth and guard the peace of the world.
Kyle took a deep breath and carefully placed the ancient book back on the shelf, his eyes revealing unprecedented determination, "No matter what we'll encounter next, we have to face it together. These clues may be the key to breaking our predicament, we must make good use of them." He held Elena's hand tightly, as if he was transmitting strength.
Elena nodded slightly as she gently wiped away the remaining tears from the corners of her eyes, her eyes regaining their fortitude. "That's right, we can't back down. This is our mission, in order to stop the Observer program, and for the sake of those they hurt, we must move forward." Her voice was soft but full of power, echoing through this mysterious library.
Lucien moved his body, the muscles on his body tensed, showing off the strength and wildness of a werewolf. "Feel free to come if there is any danger, I want to see who is behind these plots." A sharp gleam in his eyes, always ready for the unknown.
The trio began to carefully explore the library as they moved forward along the rows of bookshelves, scrutinizing each ancient book and scroll. The possibility of triggering a new strange light and influx of new information with every flip of a book both filled them with anticipation and made them doubly nervous.
As she walked, Elena suddenly found an ancient book emitting a faint blue light in a corner. Unlike other books, this ancient book had a familiar symbol engraved on its cover - the symbol of the Blood Crystal Matrix. With a flutter in her heart, she hurriedly greeted Kyle and Lucien over. "Come look, this ancient book has the symbol of the Blood Crystal Matrix on it, it might be related to our Blood Crystal Matrix."
Kyle and Lucien quickly gathered around as they looked at the symbols on the ancient book with curiosity and anticipation in their hearts. Kyle gently flipped open the ancient book, and an even brighter blue light instantly illuminated the surroundings. In the blue light, they saw some detailed accounts about the Blood Crystal Matrix, including its origin, how it was made, and its hidden power.
"It turns out that the Blood Crystal Matrix is one of the core products of the Observer Program, which not only absorbs and transforms quantum energy, but also connects different space-time." Kyle said in surprise.
Elena carefully read the words on the ancient book and her face turned a little pale, "It also says that once the power of the Blood Crystal Matrix goes out of control, it will cause a huge disaster and may even lead to the destruction of the universe."
Lucien frowned, "Then all those dangers we encountered before, were they all manifestations of the Blood Crystal Matrix's power going out of control?"
Kyle pondered for a moment and said, "It's quite possible. And our current actions may be affecting the state of the Blood Crystal Matrix as well. We must be careful how we use its power and not let it get out of control again."
Just then, the floor of the library suddenly began to shake violently, and books fell from the shelves. Kyle, Elena and Lucien hurriedly stood on their feet and looked around vigilantly. "What's going on here?" Lucien shouted.
"It seems our actions have caused some sort of reaction here, we need to find a safe place to hide." Elena said.
The trio began to look for an exit in the library, but the walls all around them seemed to be constantly changing positions, and they quickly became lost. And as the vibrations grew stronger, cracks began to appear in the ceiling of the library, and rocks continued to fall down.
"This isn't going to work, we need to find a way out." Kyle said anxiously.
Suddenly, Kyle remembered the ancient book about the Blood Crystal Matrix connecting space-time. He looked at Elena and said, "Elena, can we use the power of the Blood Crystal Matrix to open a space-time channel and leave this place?"
Elena hesitated, "I'm not sure if it's feasible, but there's nothing else we can do right now, so let's give it a try."
Elena concentrated on manipulating the Blood Crystal Matrix. The Blood Crystal Matrix began to emit an intense glow, forming a temporal vortex in front of them that shimmered with a strange light. "Quick, let's go in!" Elena shouted.
Kyle, Elena and Lucien jumped into the space-time vortex without hesitation. The moment they entered the vortex, they felt a powerful force pulling them, and the scene in front of them changed rapidly, as if they had traveled through a time tunnel.
When they landed again, they found themselves in a familiar place - CERN's lab. But there was something about this lab that looked different; the data on the instruments was pulsing wildly, and an aura of danger permeated the surroundings.
"How did we get back here?" Lucien said suspiciously.
A sense of foreboding welled up in Kyle as he looked around, "Something is very wrong here, we have to be careful."
Before they could figure out the situation, a group of people dressed in black uniforms suddenly rushed in. These people held weapons and had cold eyes as they quickly surrounded them. The leader of the group said coldly, "You've finally returned, and this time, you can't think of escaping again."
Kyle, Elena and Lucien looked at each other, they knew that a bigger crisis was coming. But they were undaunted, they had already experienced too much in this challenging quantum world, and each crisis made them more determined, and they firmly believed that as long as they were united, they would be able to turn another danger into an opportunity to uncover the truth behind the Observer program.
