Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 261: The Moon Goddess, and Her Daughters

They had bought three pizzas and were now leisurely eating two of them while sitting on the sidewalk.

It was more peaceful than Sylvaran, since the religious folks here weren't borderline fanatics.

If anything, he was quite amused.

Priests in golden robes roamed around, handing out bread to orphans. Some even took time out of their day to heal a few injuries or dispel diseases.

Frankly, he probably should've bargained for this place instead of the Sylvaran shithole where people didn't even pay their taxes.

Anyhow...

"How does it work again...?" Zafira muttered, glancing at the unopened pizza.

She brought her hands together as if praying.

"Um... This servant of the Outer Sun god wishes to bestow upon you a treat...?" she mumbled.

And to both of their surprise, the box of pizza vanished.

Following that, a single pop-up appeared in front of them.

<The Outer Sun God Anubis sends you two a thumbs up.>

"Neat." Rael chuckled. "Have you two been getting along?"

"Mmm... it's so-so," Zafira replied sheepishly. "Truth be told, even with the stacks of pizzas I've been giving her, we don't seem to be getting along. Our bond level hasn't increased at all."

"Hmm..." Rael fell into thought. "Maybe pizza is not the play? Isn't Anubis technically a cat or something? At least in the books... maybe catnip would do the job?"

"Catnip...?" Zafira tilted her head. "While I don't know what that is... I don't think she's a cat. For both of our sakes... maybe don't give her cat food?"

[Anubis is not a cat, you fool... she's a jackal,] Burger chimed in with a scoff.

The fuck's a jackal? Isn't that like an oversized fox? Rael shot back. If that's the case, as long as it has 4 legs and looks somewhat like a cat, I'm sure it'll like catnip.

[You're unbelievable...]

Rael rolled his eyes as he stuffed the remainder of his pizza into his mouth and stood up.

He glanced down at Zafira and noticed she had already finished her pizza a while ago.

It was still surprising to see her eat faster than him, but still, since their mini-treat was done, it was time to get back on track.

"Alene has been watching us for a while now. Stay behind me when we get there," Rael said in a serious tone.

"My personal knight in shining armor, will you be wearing the same armor as yesterday?" Zafira asked with a grin.

"..." Rael's brows twitched, but he didn't bother replying.

He took her by the hand again and began leading her in the direction where he felt Alene.

They walked through the rather quiet streets, past marble buildings and small chapels humming with low chants. A few passing priests gave them nods, while children chased each other around fountains without a single care in the world.

Upon closer look, he could see many grains of sand scattered throughout the fountains, and that was because of what happened a week ago.

The ground shook, and they practically saw the sand tsunami rise from Aztera and crash onto the Holy Kingdom.

Some even reached Celestara's forests, but it wasn't as bad as it was in the Holy Kingdom.

Though they cleaned up pretty well, I'd say, Rael thought with a hum as he arrived in front of one building in particular.

Giant smooth marble pillars rose from the ground, making the outline of the already towering cathedral that much larger.

Wide stained glass lined the walls, and several angel-like statues were scattered on pedestals.

But all those statues were angled directly toward the cathedral's main attraction...

The giant full moon right above its entrance.

It was just as magical as the star above Celestara, and the more Rael focused, the more he recalled one thing in particular.

I knew there were more places like the developer room in Celestara... hah... Rael let out a chuckle.

He focused his gaze on the moon, and in the next moment, he felt a slight pulse of mana leave it and head toward him.

Rael tilted his head slightly, letting the pulse fly past.

And the moment the pulse hit the ground, it created a deep gash that spanned tens of meters.

The priests in dark blue robes jumped in shock, then scattered.

Yet some remained, completely stunned as they knelt down and began praying in the magical moon's direction.

"Hmm~" Zafira hummed playfully, inspecting Rael's neck. "You got a tiny cut... never mind, it healed up already."

"Yeah, it's pretty much instant nowadays," Rael brushed it off and turned back to the moon. "So, Alene... are you going to come out of there, or should I blast this entire cathedral to pieces?"

A few moments passed by in silence as another pulse flew out, threatening to cleave him in half.

As it was about to hit, Rael moved aside and let it cut through his hand.

[HP -144,822 Billion! 4,481 Trillion / 4,626 Trillion]

It didn't pierce all the way, but it still provided a surprising boon.

<Whale Destroyer Activated!>

<All enemies who attacked you have lost 1% of their total Trell!>

<+1,911,742,221 Trell>

1% is 1.9 billion? Fuck...

It seemed like the Moon Goddess was a little richer than he expected.

"Rael..." Zafira sighed. "You ruined the sweater my mom gave you..."

"Oh..." Rael's eyes widened. "D-Don't worry. I'll fix it when we get back home."

She pouted and turned her head, not looking at him anymore.

He had brought her on a couple of his dungeon dives over the last week, so she didn't worry about his injuries.

After all...

<Draconic Mana: HP and MP regeneration increases by 15,000%>

[HP +28.4 Billion! 4,509 Trillion / 4,626 Trillion]

[HP +29.9 Billion! 4,539 Trillion / 4,626 Trillion]

[HP +38.1 Billion! 4,577 Trillion / 4,626 Trillion]

His HP regeneration was on a whole different level.

Yet as he prepared to tank another hit, he suddenly heard footsteps in the distance.

He turned toward them, and what greeted his sight were three golden-haired women.

They exuded an aura of royalty, and Rael immediately recognized two of them from the Sketa Online promotional posters in the past.

Azarielle and Shyvana. They were Reinhardt's siblings, the same ones he had asked Rael to save.

Both were stunning beauties, with Shyvana looking fiercer and Azarielle playing the part of a silent but deadly flower.

However, the one he was truly interested in was the woman in the very center.

The one in the center exuded the fiercest pressure, and she looked the most mature.

Goosebumps rose just from looking at her.

In case he needed any more confirmation, his bloodline reacted again.

<Human Avatar (Alene Grandeur) [Grade 1 | Level 2129] is in extremely close proximity!>

Rael pushed Zafira behind him and took a deep breath, narrowing his eyes.

So that's the Fourth Seat, Alene, huh...?
