RE: Evolution System

Chapter 75: Chapter 73: The End of Sadler

Upon hearing Javier's words, Sadler's dark expression turned fierce.

"Since you refuse to cooperate..."

Sadler's body began to writhe, and something could be seen coursing through his blood vessels. Then, his head detached from his body, stretching upward on an unnaturally long neck.

Numerous limbs sprouted from his back, supporting his transformed form, and his head morphed into a massive, grotesque mouthpiece with a large eye in its center.

The entire transformation made him resemble a monstrous spider. His original body hung beneath his head, swinging back and forth in the air—a revolting sight.

At this point, Sadler had lost all consciousness and was fully under the control of the parasite. He stretched out his long neck, baring sharp teeth, and glared at everyone.

Javier instinctively pulled Ada behind him, which reminded her of their time in Raccoon City—when Javier had jumped in to save her during a moment of peril.

Just as Ada was gazing at Javier affectionately, Sadler launched his attack. His massive limbs swept toward the group, and Javier quickly stepped forward to intercept the blow.

Sadler growled in frustration. He roared and attempted to bite Javier. Seeing the attack coming, Javier clenched his fist and delivered a powerful punch directly to Sadler's face. The blow sent Sadler stumbling back several steps before he came to a stop.

A large dent appeared on Sadler's mutated face, highlighting the sheer force of Javier's strike. Without hesitation, Javier rushed forward and unleashed a flurry of rapid attacks.

To the others, all they saw was a blur as Javier's movements flashed around Sadler. Sadler trembled as he was bombarded with continuous strikes. With a final explosive blow, Sadler was hurled into a wooden crate, shattering it to pieces.

Terrified, Sadler glanced at Javier from a distance, then scrambled to his feet and fled.

"This damn game is over—again, Sadler..." he muttered as he ran.

Seeing Sadler try to escape, Javier grabbed his rocket launcher and fired, hitting him squarely in the head. The explosion obliterated Sadler's head on impact.

His body staggered forward a few more steps before collapsing to the ground. Javier walked over and searched Sadler's remains, eventually retrieving the virus sample from his clothing.

"Javier, you're amazing!" Ada exclaimed, running to him. She embraced him warmly and kissed him passionately, leaving Javier stunned. He hadn't expected Ada to be so forward.

As they stood close together, Ashley let out a huff and looked jealous, while Leon eyed Javier enviously, wondering when he'd become so popular.

Ada pulled away and walked toward a distant platform. When she reached the edge, she looked back at Javier, holding the parasite sample in her hand, and waved to him.

Only then did Javier realize what Ada had truly been enthusiastic about—the virus sample in his pocket. He sighed and smiled bitterly.

"Goodbye, dear. See you later," she said before giving him a kiss and leaping off the platform. A helicopter rose from below to catch her.

Ada boarded the helicopter, waved farewell to everyone, and tossed something to Javier.

He caught it and saw it was a countdown timer set to ten minutes.

"This is the detonation timer. Ada must have planted bombs all over the island. We need to get out of here," he warned.

Javier quickly ordered everyone to board the helicopter. The support team also departed in a hurry. They all flew away from the island just before a massive explosion rocked the area.

As the island was reduced to rubble, everyone understood that the operation had come to an end. Ashley clung to Javier's arm, which left Leon—her official rescuer—feeling rather awkward.

"Can we meet again when we're back? What can I do to make you miss me?" Ashley asked Javier with pleading eyes, full of emotion.

Javier gently patted her head. "You can always come visit me. I already gave you my address," he said with a smile.

"It's a promise. You have to see me again," Ashley replied, smiling brightly.

With the destruction of the island and Sadler's death, the rescue operation was a complete success. The group was swiftly processed by local authorities and then flown back to the United States aboard a special aircraft.

Leon departed with a reluctant Ashley, while Javier and the others returned to base. Krauser went back to the island's military facility to resume his training.

Javier handed over one of the captured parasite specimens to Alexia. She was highly intrigued—this parasite seemed ancient, a remarkable new discovery. Alexia immediately immersed herself in studying it.

A few days later, Wilson visited Javier again. He expressed his gratitude for Javier's contributions and promised numerous rewards in return.

The cooperation between the Azure Dragon Company and the military deepened, and the resulting contracts brought great fortune to the company.

Even the President personally called Javier to thank him, and the two established a cordial friendship.

However, had the President known his daughter had been so smitten, he might've beaten Javier himself.

After several hectic days, Javier finally had time to relax. Occasionally, he would visit the BSAA. There, he encountered Parker and Jessica from the FBC, who had joined the organization. Javier met with them—and Jessica, in particular, took quite an interest in him and constantly tried to get his attention.

Javier, however, knew she wasn't as simple as she seemed. As a double agent, Jessica was cunning and manipulative. She had once worked for Morgan, who later sent her to infiltrate the BSAA as a spy. In truth, she was actually a Tricell operative.

A woman both seductive and skilled in manipulation, she specialized in soft tactics. No man could easily resist her charms. Still, Jessica had already been rejected twice within the BSAA.

The first was when she tried to seduce the stoic and iron-willed Chris Redfield, who remained completely unaffected by her advances. The second was Javier. Though she attempted to exploit him, she failed to gain any useful intel.

Once, she had nearly been defeated by Javier, which made her feel a mix of admiration and resentment. Deep down, Jessica respected Javier's strength. If she were to choose a man to stand beside, it would definitely be him.

Meanwhile, Ada delivered a Plaga sample to Wesker, effectively placing the virus into Tricell's hands.

"Hmph. If you really want to be useful, then entertain me, try to throw those pathetic power stones at me. Let's see if even your insolence can amuse a king."
