RE: Perverted Sugar Daddy System

Chapter 314: Not Yet

"He promised 60 million. If he's going to lose that amount of money, then I'm sure as hell he's going to claw as many benefits as he can out of this. I even trust him to dig deep for advantages.

As the biggest contributor, I hold the reins—and if he wants all these benefits, he has to rope me in."

"But is it worth it? You made a strong move, but what if he decides to back down on his promise? It wasn't a contract.

You'll be left with nothing but a fat check on your lap."

"Not only does getting close to Sky give me answers about the mega-projects happening around the country, but you can also think of this as me buying my way into one of the most secretive circles of the higher class.

As for Sky backing down, I have no worries. I'll back down too—and then put all the blame on him."

Denise slightly leaned back at my words, her face twisting as she processed what I had just said, then murmured in surprise:

"That's diabolical."

"Not really."

Letting out a puff of smoke, I looked around, searching for something, and then turned to Denise.

"Ashtray."

"Oops, my bad."

For just a second, Denise reverted to a free, innocent woman—her spirits alight and her entire presence registering, for the first time, as cute.

She quickly composed herself though. Standing and heading over to her desk perhaps to prove her earlier actions had been part of a plan—this time she angled her rump away from me before bending down.

There were the beautiful curves of her hips, but the main view was tactfully denied.

Seconds later, Denise returned, and while she placed the tray, I picked up my glass of wine and gulped it down in one go, placing it back on the table to be refilled.

Wordlessly, Denise poured me a drink and then returned to her seat.

Some words to tease and stimulate Denise popped into my head, but I remembered my last words to her and stayed put.

"You're the one who invited him. He initially had no business in this.

Now you're going to pull out if he does and turn all this on his head? If you do this, you'll just be adding another enemy to your roster."

"Ehh. Okay."

"You've become a schemer."

"I wouldn't exactly say that..."

"I like it. You've made me proud."

"Hmmm." I was a little lost on how to deal with Denise's words.

"I was just testing you. You shouldn't worry too much about the latter option coming to pass.

Sky is not an idiot. Depending on how you've portrayed yourself to him, he must also be aware of such a slim but destructive possibility if he pulls out.

Your move to challenge him at the party was really good."

"Well to that, I will say...

Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Picking up the just-filled glass, I cleared the smoke in my mouth and took a sip. Beside me, Denise did the same.

After two quick sips, the woman adjusted her position on the couch, moving to its opposite end, then placing her bent right leg on it and staring at me.

"Is that everything between you and Sky?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure?"

"What do you know?"

"That Amber Jacobs just called me in good, healthy faith—wanting to help me overcome the judicial and financial obstacles I've been facing in Michigan."

"Wow, that's very kind of her."

"Yeah... and unusual."

"Here, plug this into a laptop."

Without hesitation, I handed Denise the memory card I'd gotten from the cameraman in Dina's room.

Denise immediately stood and went to her desk. The clicks from her keyboard sounded out, and then, after some seconds, voices began playing.

"Oh, he started filming early," I muttered.

"Skip through the video. You'll see everything important."

Denise's first skip resulted in moans ringing out, followed by more of the same on her third, fourth, fifth, and sixth skips.

I was expectant for a question from Amber, but after Denise had more thoroughly browsed through the footage, she took out her phone and made a call.

She didn't hide the details of the conversation—the content focused on Dina. Denise asked for her details on her own, even going as far as to question the nature of her relationship. After receiving her answers, she ended the call.

"From what I can see, you performed exceptionally in bed. My only problem with this is that you decided to fuck women in complicated relationships."

"In my defence, other than Amber, I had no idea about Dina. And as for Amber, she tried to frame me."

"I don't doubt that—but did you expect her not to do something shady?"

"I didn't. But at the same time, I wanted to believe that I was giving her a fair chance at redemption."

"Just give me the full story." Denise rubbed her head, laptop in hand, and returned to her seat on the couch.

"Well, it went like this…"

I was a bit of a storyteller, but eventually, I was done explaining my escapade from two nights ago. Denise was only a little perplexed.

"All this in one night? They could make an action movie from your life."

"Can't tell if that's a compliment."

"First, we need to plug any holes that can be used to get to you.

You shouldn't have killed the cameraman, then worse, left his body on the yacht.

If you were going to play the story of an attempted assassination, you should have reported it to the police after the incident."

"True, but aren't you forgetting it's Sky's ship? Dina and Amber stand the risk of exposure.

No one would say a thing."

"You can't be 100% sure. A way around their fears can be found."

"True, and that's why I have his body."

The dead body of the cameraman suddenly appeared on the floor beside us. Denise lifted her legs off the floor in shock.

"That's..."

"Yeah."

The body was just as fresh as when I'd first put it in my inventory. After making sure Denise had gotten a good look, I made it disappear once more.

"That is a trick too good to be ignored."

"Ignore it for now."

"Hmmm. Well, I'm glad to see the body is with you. And seeing that you've given me this memory card, can I conclude that you've handed this affair over to me?"

"Yes. Everything, including you overseeing my relationship with Sky. I'll be there to talk to him, though."

"Yes, sir."

"Good. Now do you have any other questions? I'd like to be in Los Angeles tonight."

"Sorry, but you'll have to cancel that thought.

You have to attend the reading of a will."
