RE: Perverted Sugar Daddy System

Chapter 317: Courtesy

I had been called to be present while Albert's will was being read, and while there was a good chance I wouldn't be receiving anything, I had brought Grace with me.

"Isn't it funny that despite you being his lawyer, he didn't trust his will to you?" I asked.

"I'm his business lawyer, not his family lawyer," Grace replied as we walked into the intimidating building in front of us.

For this event, I was dressed in plain brown pants, a white sweater, and white sneakers. Wanting something different, I added a white cap. The young but mature look my outfit gave me was quite pleasing.

Grace walked ahead of me. While she had the option, courtesy of Denise, to wear a pretty white gown and even carry a designer bag, the woman chose instead to wear a black shirt and white skirt.

She added high black heels to complete her look, and that's why she was in front while I trailed behind.

"Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on her," I thought to myself, gulping internally as I watched her mature ass, packed tightly into her skirt, sway with each step.

Leading us at the front was a maid, and given the amount of leg she exposed, her fair fleshy thighs rubbing against each other—my little brother and I felt... targeted.

The event was scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m., and arriving over 10 minutes early, we walked for nearly a minute before being led into a sort of cinema room.

There was no TV at the front, but the floor sloped downward, and several rows of chairs were fixed along the slope. With all its chairs, the room could seat about 40 people, but at the moment, I counted roughly 7.

Coming in from the back, my entrance turned some heads. Recognition flashed in their eyes, but no one made a move.

"Sir, follow me," the maid said.

Grace moved to follow the maid, but I grabbed her arm.

"We'll sit here," I said.

The maid's forehead scrunched as I pointed to the seats at the back, but she quickly nodded.

"Very well, sir. Would you like me to get you something?"

"Some w—"

"No, we're fine," I cut Grace off.

Showing no disagreement, Grace nodded immediately, and the maid, seeing her services were no longer needed, departed.

"You really need to be careful with these people, especially in such settings," I told Grace as I took a seat, the woman elegantly sitting beside me.

"If I may ask, why? I was only going to ask for some water. That would've been a good way to show neutrality. It's not like they can poison us so openly. Denise has people watching the house."

"Because there are also invisible poisons. Ones that hit you in places even the machines in hospitals can't detect. In this mansion, there's a world far bigger than what you see. A world Albert didn't show you—and one I would introduce you to, if and only if you are a good girl."

My words put Grace in deep thought, her mind struggling to figure out what I was talking about. By my guess, she probably decided I was referring to a whole new level of wealth, and if that was true, I had no intention of correcting her. Like I said—if she was a good girl, I would introduce her to the world beyond.

For the next few seconds, Grace and I remained seated along with the others in the room. She used the quiet time to inform me of the identities of those present.

"Are you sleeping?" she asked.

"Speak. I'm listening," I replied.

Despite my words, Grace found it hard to believe I was paying attention because of my actions. Here she was, pointing out people and informing me about them, and I had decided to relax into my chair, head tilted back and eyes closed. How could I possibly follow her if I couldn't even see?

Taking a deep breath to calm herself, the woman resumed speaking—though with much of her enthusiasm drained—unaware that not only did I have a perfect image of everyone she mentioned, but I was seeing beyond the walls of the mansion and into its every corner.

From the person in the bathroom to those taking a nap, cooking, or cleaning the lawn—I had sights on them all.

Considering there was only one big room within the whole mansion heavily cloaked in natural energy and containing guns and talismans, it was safe to say the Casters did not shit where they eat. Or maybe... they just weren't all that.

Funny enough, I leaned toward the latter opinion. But then again, I still hung on the edge—because after scanning through the entire Caster Mansion, there was no way I wouldn't have come across its matriarch, Lia Caster.

Thankfully, my intrusion into the woman's room, especially while she was putting the last touches on her outfit, happened several minutes after we entered the building. Otherwise, I would've been a prime suspect.

Echo worked by having the world amplify the energy you resonated with and then reflect it back to you. How much one could identify depended on their imagination. The real problem came in how much one could absorb after the reflection.

During this phase of amplification, an untraceable wave of energy would sweep through all scanned areas. And it was during this moment that Lia snapped her head toward the conference room inside her mansion.

'Guess it can no longer be called untraceable energy.'

My body, which rested and listened to Grace, remained calm even as I mentally intruded into every room in the house—and even after being detected.

"So, the lawyer and cousins... Why are the cousins here, though?" I asked.

"They're probably set to receive something as a group," Grace replied.

It didn't take long for the clock to strike 2:30 p.m., and I turned my head left and right, confirming that the main characters of the show were yet to arrive.

I allowed a few more minutes to pass, and then I spoke up.

"Mr. Mongraty, it's past 2:36 p.m, should we not start?"

My voice traveled and filled the whole room, echoing off the walls and drawing the attention of everyone, including the aged man who sat at the front.
