Reborn as Humanity’s Emperor Across the Multiverse

Chapter 430: Chapter 430: Arrival – A Child Beyond Their Years

?!!

"What is that?"

"A golden meteor?"

"My God..."

A radiant golden meteor suddenly appeared from the distant sky, streaking across the horizon in a dazzling display of light. Its brilliance immediately drew the attention of everyone present.

The "meteor," like a star falling from the heavens, illuminated the sky with a trail of glittering brilliance.

The people, who had moments ago been engaged in discussing whether to join the Empire and deliberating their future actions, were now frozen in astonishment, their expressions filled with awe and disbelief as they pointed toward the celestial phenomenon.

But...

To be honest, many of them seemed somewhat "numb" to such spectacles by now.

After all, the events of the previous night had shattered so many of their preconceptions—about their world, about their universe—that they no longer felt capable of true shock.

If the Emperor Himself were to descend from the heavens and casually resurrect the dead, they might not even feel more surprised than they did now; they might simply be ecstatic instead.

The first to sense the arrival of the golden "meteor" was Sanguinius. With his heightened perception, he immediately recognized it as the arrival of a new sibling—a brother descending from the stars.

However, what puzzled Sanguinius was the timing.

By his calculations, such an arrival should not have occurred for another five or six months—possibly even longer.

As a Primarch, Sanguinius understood his father's principles of caution and protection regarding their brethren. The Emperor avoided sending too many Primarchs into unnecessary conflicts, ensuring that their lives were not risked without good cause.

This principle aligned with Sanguinius's own beliefs.

By his own estimates, the Blood Angels Legion would require five to six months to fully consolidate their position in the "Starship Troopers" (14th Universe).

If he were to allow the fleet to "brute force" their way across the galaxy, the Federation fleet would likely crumble in less than two months, and all of the colonies would fall under Imperial control.

But such an approach would result in casualties measured in the billions.

Furthermore, it would provoke widespread resentment and hatred among the local population, leaving behind countless unresolved problems.

This was why Sanguinius was proceeding with caution, avoiding a heavy-handed "scorched-earth" strategy.

Campbell, as a successful demonstration, was a crucial step in his plan. He intended to use the victory here, combined with clever propaganda from the AI systems, to gradually transform the frontier colonies into Imperial vassals within a short period.

Alongside this, Sanguinius planned to station Imperial officials and Blood Angels to oversee and manage the colonies. This would allow for a more moderate "assimilation" process, making it easier for the local population to accept the Empire's presence.

Traditionally, new Primarchs would only descend when Sanguinius, his brothers, or their father were close to completing—or had already completed—the unification of a particular galaxy.

But this sudden arrival was unexpected, even to Sanguinius.

Despite his ability to foresee the future, he had not "seen" this moment.

It was as though his new sibling had intentionally defied his expectations, appearing unannounced as if to "surprise" him.

Pausing for half a second to gather his thoughts, Sanguinius adjusted his expression, returning to his usual demeanor of calm authority and warmth.

He turned his attention back to Rico, Dizzy, Ace, and the other officers, addressing them in a measured tone:

"Captain Ace Levy has already expressed his willingness to join. What about the rest of you?"

"We're in!" Rico and Dizzy replied almost in unison.

Rico, stepping forward as their representative, elaborated:

"Lord Sanguinius, we've long since forged deep bonds with Major Kennedy. Without him, we wouldn't be here today.

We're more than willing to join the Empire's fold. But... we do have one concern: after joining, will we still have the chance to fight bugs as freely and fiercely as we do now?"

"Haha, you needn't worry."

Sanguinius smiled knowingly, as though he had already anticipated their concerns. His voice carried a reassuring tone:

"As long as you are citizens of the Empire, you will be treated equally. Moreover..."

He raised his left hand slightly, extending a single finger to point toward the Phoenix-class support craft hovering in the skies above them.

"Onboard that vessel are advanced Imperial weapons and equipment prepared specifically for your mobile infantry.

Once you've had time to familiarize yourselves with these tools, you will find yourselves able to fight bugs with even greater efficiency and satisfaction.

And those who perform exceptionally will receive rewards from the Empire and our Legion. The Bio Division personnel accompanying us are also preparing to offer enhancements for outstanding soldiers. These enhancements will enable you to unlock the full potential of the human body."

!!!

The mobile infantry officers' expressions instantly brightened, their excitement evident. They could hardly contain their enthusiasm, as if they were on the verge of cheering.

As soldiers, they had already witnessed the sheer power of Imperial equipment. The ease with which Imperial weapons tore through the bugs left an indelible impression on them.

What soldier could resist the allure of advanced weapons and gear?

Moreover, they had seen firsthand the superhuman capabilities of individuals like Maggie Shaw and the extraordinary combat performance of cloned soldiers. The Empire's prowess in biotechnology was undeniable.

If they could receive such enhancements, the prospect of hunting bugs would undoubtedly become even more thrilling.

Rico, his spirit ignited, stepped forward to speak on behalf of the group:

"Thank you, Lord Sanguinius, for valuing us so highly. We swear to slay as many bugs as we can and save our fellow humans from harm!"

"Thank you, Lord Sanguinius!"

The officers and soldiers echoed Rico's words in unison, their voices loud and resolute, brimming with anticipation for the future.

At that moment, Ace suddenly pointed toward the sky, his face alight with curiosity as he asked:

"Lord Sanguinius, is that meteor also one of your miracles?"

"In a manner of speaking," Sanguinius replied with a faint smile, his eyes glimmering.

He chose not to disclose too much about the truth behind the "meteor."

Even though Johnson, Rico, and the others had, within moments, decided to join the Human Empire and the Blood Angels Legion, trust was a precious commodity—one that Sanguinius did not give freely.

Moreover, the mysteries surrounding the arrival and birth of the Emperor's sons were not something to be casually shared.

Turning back to Johnson and the Campbell officials, Sanguinius maintained his noble yet approachable demeanor as he issued instructions:

"Please continue to stabilize Campbell's government and assist us in restoring normalcy to this planet."

His tone carried a subtle authority, yet it was also imbued with a spirit of collaboration.

Then, addressing Rico and the officers, he added:

"Captain Rico, please lead your units in assisting us with the cleanup of the capital city. Let us provide the people with a safe and orderly environment so that life may soon return to normal."

As for Leon, Maggie, and the other investigators, Sanguinius refrained from giving them any direct orders.

These elite operatives of the Federation had already given their all during the battle. They deserved a chance to rest and recover. The frontlines no longer required their expertise—that was now the responsibility of the Blood Angels and their officers.

Having received their instructions, Johnson, Rico, and the others quickly departed the central plaza, eager to set their plans into motion and begin rebuilding Campbell to its former glory.

Sanguinius, meanwhile, unfurled his magnificent wings and took to the skies once more.

He soared gracefully over the city, the morning breeze brushing against him as he followed the trajectory of the mysterious "meteor," heading toward the forests east of the capital.

——

In the dense forests east of the city:

Hiss... Hiss!!

Amid the shadows of the trees, faint hissing noises could be heard.

A group of ten warrior bugs and one tiger bug moved swiftly and nimbly through the forest, their piercing cries echoing as they went.

Freed from the control of the hive mind, they now behaved like feral predators, driven by instinct.

They were in pursuit of a herd of local wildlife—creatures resembling deer but with three pairs of antlers. The animals ran in panic, desperate to escape the imminent threat of death.

The bugs, no longer bound by strategic orders, had abandoned their advance toward the capital city. Instead, they were consumed by the primal urges to hunt and feed.

Before long, the bugs successfully cornered the herd and descended upon them with savage efficiency.

The warrior bugs used their razor-sharp claws to tear into the prey, rending flesh from bone with horrifying ease.

The forest was filled with the sounds of tearing and chewing, while blood splattered across the ground, staining it a deep red.

Their meal was over in mere moments.

Even during their feast, the warrior bugs instinctively avoided encroaching on the tiger bug's share, as though they harbored a deep, innate reverence for its presence.

The tiger bug, in turn, seemed to exude an air of dominance, asserting its authority over the group.

Suddenly:

Boom. Boom!

A series of tremors rippled through the ground, catching the bugs' attention.

They quickly devoured the remaining scraps of their meal, gulping down the flesh and blood of their prey as they turned toward the source of the disturbance. Without hesitation, the group of bugs began moving rapidly in the direction of the tremors.

Within seconds, they reached the eastern shore of a forested lake.

It didn't take long for the bugs to locate the source of the tremors: a small crater nestled near the shoreline.

They cautiously approached, their sharp claws digging into the earth as they encircled the crater, their eyes glowing faintly in the dim light filtering through the canopy.

Peering into the crater, the bugs came upon an astonishing sight—a pale-skinned human infant lying at its center.

The child was serene, neither crying nor wailing, their tiny features showing an unsettling calmness and detachment.

But what truly set this infant apart was their gaze—a cold, piercing stare that was entirely inconsistent with their apparent age.

Those eyes, sharp and resolute, locked directly onto the tiger bug, the most powerful of the group.

Hiss…?

The tiger bug hesitated.

Unlike its usual behavior of instinctive aggression, it found itself unnerved by the unyielding gaze of the infant. It growled low, its claws scraping the dirt, but made no immediate move to attack.

The warrior bugs flanked their leader, similarly hesitant, their movements erratic and cautious.

To them, this was no ordinary human infant.

The air around the child seemed charged with an invisible energy, subtle yet potent, radiating an aura of authority and danger that even the instinct-driven bugs could sense.

Suddenly:

Whoosh!

A gust of wind swept through the forest as Sanguinius descended from the skies, his radiant form landing gracefully at the edge of the crater.

The towering Primarch's presence immediately overshadowed the scene, his golden armor and expansive wings glowing faintly in the sunlight.

The bugs recoiled instinctively, their predator instincts overwhelmed by the sheer force of his arrival.

Sanguinius's sharp eyes quickly took in the situation, lingering briefly on the crater and its unusual occupant.

The infant remained motionless, their cold gaze shifting momentarily from the tiger bug to Sanguinius.

For a moment, Sanguinius and the child locked eyes. Though no words were spoken, an unspoken understanding passed between them.

"This is no ordinary infant…" Sanguinius thought to himself, his mind racing as he analyzed the child's presence.

He could feel it—this child carried the unmistakable genetic signature of the Emperor.

It was unmistakable.

But why was this Primarch—a sibling he had not foreseen—manifesting here and now, in the depths of a forest on a distant colony world?

Sanguinius allowed no outward sign of his confusion to show. Maintaining his composure, he extended his hand toward the infant, his voice calm yet resonant:

"Come, little one. You have nothing to fear."

The child didn't move at first, their expression unreadable. Then, slowly, they reached out their tiny hand, placing it in Sanguinius's palm.

As soon as their hands touched, a surge of energy passed between them—a shared understanding, a bond forged not by words but by the blood and spirit of the Emperor Himself.

The tiger bug and its warrior bug subordinates, sensing that they were entirely outmatched, began to retreat into the forest, their movements hurried and disorganized.

Sanguinius watched them go, but his attention remained on the child in his arms.

"What is your name?" he asked softly, though he knew the infant was too young to answer.

Yet, in his heart, he already understood: this was his brother, his kin, another son of the Emperor.

With a gentle yet determined motion, Sanguinius cradled the child in one arm and took to the skies once more.

——

As Sanguinius soared back toward the capital city, the infant nestled in his golden armor, the other Blood Angels and the people of Campbell would soon learn of this miraculous arrival.

The events that followed would reshape not just the fate of Campbell but also the course of the Empire's expansion into this universe.

For this child—this unexpected new Primarch—was a harbinger of change, their arrival signaling the beginning of a new chapter in the Emperor's grand design.

And though Sanguinius did not yet know the full significance of his sibling's presence, he felt a profound sense of destiny stirring within him.

The future of the galaxy would never be the same.
