Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 123: Fuse lit

Anyone from the Queens region would be stunned if they saw what was happening in the Kings region.

The plumbing system alone would cause a commotion among the wealthy for its clean and efficient way of disposing of waste. Even the richest territories in the Queens region still used manual labor to gather water from a well or had to hire a water mage for their services.

The fact that even a remote village in the middle of nowhere could have easy access to water with just a simple twist of a lever made their lives so much better than even Kings, Queens, and royals.

But perhaps the most intriguing product Reborn offered was their 'automobiles' which used no magic nor horses to power themselves to run at speeds that were only below that of Dragons.

This magnificent piece of machinery could solve the distance problem in the Queens region.

Most of the obstacles businesses and even armies faced in the Queens region was the fact that it took a long time for people to traverse from one territory to another. This essentially forced places to become isolated and secluded from other locations.

That was why things that happened on the Northern side of the Queens region would only be known in the Southern part of the Queens region a few years later.

But in the Kings region, it seemed that all the cities, towns, and villages were a lot more connected and up to date with each other.

This was all due to the fact that the Reborn company offered their taxi services to people who couldn't afford to buy their own automobiles. Now, people near the Parched Lands could visit the further side of the Kings region within just a few days of travel.

Business boomed, with companies using their newly purchased trucks from the Reborn company to good use.

Agnes looked at the products sold on the Maplewood village's wet markets and saw that it was a lot more diverse than before, offering the signature moist herbs of the Grass Valley, and even the dry delicacy cactus fruits in the Parched Lands.

From what she heard, these could cost up to tens of gold coins. But now, it could be bought with silver coins.

Agnes thought about the other expensive products in the Queens region. If they had automobiles, it would allow impoverished territories lacking food and nourishment to finally break free from the high taxes and prices that vendors impose on them.

"This road is so flat," Yuna said. "What is it called?"

Fudge jumped up from her lap and landed on her head. "It is called concrete, and it is something that my Master came up with!"

The Rebornians further explained the benefits of concrete and how it could be used to create entire roads and buildings in just under a few days. It was cheap too, so most territories began to implement them in their buildings, upgrading them to concrete.

"Amazing," Agnes praised. "This concrete would settle so many problems in the Queens region."

Fudge peeked at Yuna's face from above her head. "You guys are from the Queens region?" he asked her.

"Yes, that's where I was born," she answered.

"You didn't have to go through the dangerous mountain ranges. Didn't you know there was a really big earthquake a year ago? It created a really big landslide. It could have happened to you too!" Fudge said with a worried look.

"I don't want my only believer to slip and fall. If you're gone, who's going to believe that I'm a ninja?! When you visit next time, you should use our highway!"

Yuna looked at the violet slime. "There's a highway here?!"

"Yes, our boss is about to open a road connecting the Kings region to the Queens region," the HobMankey explained.

"But how is that possible?" Anges asked. "The mountain ranges are far too steep and dangerous to build in, even with your concrete roads. You just said that there was a landslide here a year ago, so the road would only last a year or so before it gets destroyed."

Fudge jumped up from Yuna's head and landed on the ground. He crossed his blobby hands against his chest and turned his head up, with his nonexistent face brimming with pride.

"Who said we built it in the mountain ranges? Master has already struck a deal with the Dwarven King about creating a road that goes around their kingdom!" Fudge exclaimed.

Agnes and Yuna couldn't hold in their surprise and stood there, stunned in silence.

Even as a child, Yuna had already been taught and trained about every species, territory, and nation located in this country. Your next read awaits at empire

Her family propped her up to be the foremost diplomat in the entire world. To do that, she had to be aware of every political situation in the entire country, including those that were allied and at war against each other.

In her history classes, a lot of alliances had formed, changed, and broken apart in the thousands of years of history in the country. It was normal to hear about a territory being allied with another territory for a thousand years, but fall apart and become mortal enemies within just a few years.

But never once did the Dwarven Kingdom change their stance about their closed-door policy.

No one had convinced them. Neither the incentive of gold nor the threat of war could make them open their doors.

Everyone thought that it would continue for the years to come. That was until this moment, when they found out that someone had successfully allied with the Dwarven Kingdom.

"The Reborn company has a partnership with the Dwarven Kingdom?" Agnes asked, her words stammering. "Does that mean that you have access to the infamous Damascus Steel?"

The Rebornians all nodded their heads as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

Agnes would have never known that they would witness a world-changing event right in front of their eyes.

The Reborn company was still unknown in the Queens region right now. But she knew that that wouldn't last long.

It was as if she was looking at a bomb with its fuse lit up. It was just seconds away from exploding and completely changing the landscape of the world by storm.
