Reborn as the saiyan omni-king

Chapter 5: Earthly Desires

"What now, my lord?" Macarita asked, breaking the silence. Her eyes, filled with excitement, searched my face for an answer.

I stretched my arms out wide, feeling the weariness of creation seep into my bones. "Now," I announced with a yawn, "I rest."

Macarita's eyes, filled with the cosmos' wisdom, searched mine for a moment before she nodded, understanding. "Of course, my lord," she said, her voice as gentle as a cosmic lullaby. "You must recharge your energy for the tasks that lie ahead."

And so, I slept. My slumber was deep and dreamless, a void that seemed to swallow the very fabric of time itself. When I awoke, I felt the weight of eons lift from my shoulders, and the hunger for power was sated for the briefest of moments. I stretched, the fabric of my robes whispering against the cool marble floor.

With a thought, I teleported to the chamber that contained the creation table, the very tool that had allowed me to shape the cosmos to my will. The room was vast, its walls lined with screens showing the birth and growth of countless worlds. As my eyes fell upon the screen displaying Universe 1, a jolt of surprise shot through me. The once-bare planet was now a tapestry of life, teeming with civilizations that had grown and evolved over centuries.

My heart raced as I realized the mistake I had made. The time dilation was set to one hour here equating to a hundred years in the mortal realm. A simple oversight, but one that had led to an entire era of growth and change unseen by my eyes. The thrill of creation had become a sobering reminder of the responsibilities that came with such power.

I approached the table, my fingers hovering over the controls. The touch of my skin sent a ripple through the crystal surface, and the image grew clearer. I saw Solara's pupils, nown sadult with a regal bearing that matched their divine status. Solara's eyes, once filled with innocent wonder, now held the weight of centuries of wisdom. Her hair had grown longer, reaching her waist, and she moved with the grace of a cosmic dance, each step a silent promise of protection.

Just as I was about to reach out and touch the screen, the doors to the chamber slid open with a hiss, and Vados entered. Her purple eyes searched the room, and when they found mine, they narrowed in concern. "Is everything to your liking, my lord?" she asked, her voice a mix of formal protocol and genuine care.

"I'm hungry," I said, the words slipping out before I could consider the implications. Vados raised an eyebrow, her expression a blend of confusion and curiosity.

"Hungry?" she repeated. "For what?"

"A hamburger," I said without hesitation. The memory of the simple, yet delectable, Earth delicacy had somehow made its way into my divine consciousness.

Her gaze flickered, and for a moment, she looked as if she were trying to hold back a laugh. "My lord," she said, her voice carefully measured, "Earth as you knew it no longer exists. The foods you speak of are but a memory in this realm."

The realization hit me like a meteor to the chest. I had become so lost in the grandeur of creation that I had forgotten the simple pleasures of my past life. But the hunger remained, a gnawing emptiness that not even the vastness of the cosmos could fill.

With a sigh, I waved my hand dismissively. "Forget it," I said, trying to shrug off the disappointment. "It was a whim."

Vados tilted her head slightly. "If you wish, I can create something similar," she offered. "Our replicators are capable of conjuring up a variety of dishes based on your memories and nutritional needs."

The idea was tempting, but I knew it wouldn't be the same. "No," I said finally. "I'll eat something else."

As she nodded and turned to leave, I called out to her. "Vados, wait." She paused, looking over her shoulder at me with a question in her gaze. "Tell me, do gods get lonely?"

Her smile was sad, understanding. "Even gods crave companionship," she said gently. "But fear not, my lord. The universe is vast, and you are its master. There is always someone out there to share in your triumphs and burdens."

Her words lingered in the air as she left, and I found myself staring at the image of Solara once again. Perhaps, in the depths of her pink eyes, I would find the kinship I sought, a bond that transcended the boundaries of power and duty.

The cosmos waited outside my door, a tapestry of stars and galaxies, each one a testament to my might. Yet, all I could think of was the warmth of a simple meal shared between friends, a feeling that seemed as elusive as a shooting star. With a heavy heart, I turned back to the table, my thoughts swirling like a nebula. It was time to face the infinite once more, to continue my rule as the Saiyan Omni King, but not without the hope that one day, I might find a companion to share in the weight of eternity.

With a deep breath, I focused my energy and conjured the essence of the next six universes into existence. They sprang to life before me, a dazzling array of colors and forms, each one a canvas for life to take root and thrive. Yet, my gaze was drawn to the seventh, a universe that held the potential for something more. A universe where I could shape the destiny of a planet called Earth, a place that had captured the imaginations of gods and mortals alike.

My fingers danced across the crystalline surface, the power of creation pulsing through my veins as I shaped the continents and seas of Earth. I watched as life began to blossom, as the planet evolved and grew over millennia. Yet, even as I marveled at the beauty of my own handiwork, I knew that true companionship would not come from mere mortals. They were fleeting, their lives a mere blink in the eye of eternity.

As I finished crafting the Earth the final planet in this project, I felt a strange pull, an emotion that was as alien to me as the concept of mercy once was. It was a yearning, a hunger for a connection that was more than just power and dominion. The thrill of creation had given way to something deeper, a craving for understanding and unity. It was a sensation that was both thrilling and terrifying, a vulnerability that made me feel more alive than any battle I had ever fought.

With the seventh universe locked in and Earth a shining jewel amidst the cosmic sea, I knew that the time had come to reach out, to seek someone who could stand by my side as an equal. But where would I find such a being in the vast expanses of the multiverse? Was it even possible for a god to find companionship, or was I destined to rule alone?

The angels watched in silent awe as I stepped away from the creation table, the screens fading back into the walls. The chamber grew darker, the glow of the table's energy dissipating like the last light of a dying star. In the quiet, I felt the first stirrings of doubt, a whisper of fear that perhaps my hunger for connection was as futile as my desire for a hamburger from a lost world. Yet, I pushed the thought aside, for I was Kyle the Infinite, the Saiyan Omni King, and I had conquered gods and shaped worlds. If there was one thing I knew, it was that I never backed down from a challenge.
