Reincarnated as an E rank? lets see how far I can go!

Chapter 6: chapter 7:The Willton Hunter Association

The room was dimly lit, a single chandelier casting flickering shadows across the long conference table. Seated at the head was an older man, his presence alone commanding the attention of everyone in the room.

Leonhardt Graves, Chairman of the Willton Hunter Association.

Across from him sat a younger man, his sharp features and piercing gaze betraying the weight he carried. He was no ordinary hunter—he was an A-rank, and more importantly, the vice president of one of Willton's 10 major guilds.

Isaac Thornfield.

The atmosphere was tense. The air itself seemed to carry an unspoken weight, a reflection of the topic at hand.

Isaac leaned forward, fingers interlocked. "It's no longer just an anomaly. The number of gates appearing has increased by nearly 17% in the past three months."

Leonhardt remained silent, his eyes fixated on the reports spread before him. He had seen the numbers. He knew what they meant.

Isaac continued, his voice steady but edged with concern. "We've already lost two C-rank and a single B-rank strike team. That shouldn't be happening. Not at this rate."

Leonhardt finally spoke, his voice slow, deliberate. "Have you determined a pattern?"

Isaac hesitated. That was the problem. There wasn't one.

"We've mapped the locations, analyzed the mana fluctuations, even checked historical data—nothing. The gates are appearing erratically, without any logical trend. And it's not just low-tier dungeons. The percentage of B-rank and higher gates has also increased."

A long silence followed.

Leonhardt exhaled, leaning back in his chair. "This isn't a natural occurrence."

Isaac - "Ever since gates started to appear there was a steady balance between the ranks of the gates and the man power of hunters."

leonhardt in agreement- "Yes, if there are 10 D rank hunters then a single E rank gate appeared'

isaac frustrated -"Yeah, somehow the hunter of the same rank couldn't clear the gate of its rank. Not because they couldn't but every magic beast inside the gate would be one rank lower than the gate rank.

Only the boss rank would be as same as the gate rank" clenching his jaw tightly.

Isaac tightened his fist. "You're thinking the same thing I am, aren't you?"

Leonhardt tapped his fingers on the table, a habit he had when deep in thought. "If someone or something is behind this, we need to find out who. And quickly."

Isaac's gaze darkened. "You know what this could mean."

Leonhardt nodded. " Something much bigger."

A chill ran through the room at those words.

Isaac straightened. "We should call an emergency summit with the other guild leaders."

Leonhardt shook his head. "Not yet. If we act too soon, we might tip off whoever's behind this. For now, we observe. Keep this information classified."

Isaac frowned but didn't argue. He knew better than to go against the chairman's judgment.

Leonhardt turned his gaze toward the window, looking out over the sprawling cityscape of Willton.

A storm was coming.

And they weren't prepared for it.

Meanwhile…

Raul staring at the glowing text projected before me.

The system interface.

After my encounter with Takeshi, I had decided to go through my status window properly for the first time.

I scrolled through the list of abilities, my gaze scanning over them carefully.

[Skill: Instant Mastery lvl3]

[Skill: Internet Brain -locked(you must complete hidden quests to unlock this skill)]

[Skill: Language Omniscience -(locked you must complete hidden quests to unlock this skill)]

And then—

[Skill: Multiplication of Objects lvl:0]

My fingers twitched.

Multiplication?

I tapped the skill, pulling up its description.

[Ability: Multiplication of Objects lvl1]

[Description: The user can duplicate any non-living object they touch. There is no known limit. They must increase the skill level to increase the number of multiple integer.]

My heartbeat quickened.

This…

This was different.

A billion question came to my mind like

-this skill is unheard of

-as a hunter why did i have it?

-is it related to something about me being chosen?

-how many other mysterious skills I have?

-and how many other skills will i unlock?

-how powerful is that skill..."no known limit of multiplication huh"

I had been so focused on my ability to learn skills that I had completely overlooked this.

I reached for the small knife on my desk, my mind racing. If this worked the way I thought it did…

I placed my hand on the blade and focused.

[Multiplication]
