Reincarnated As The Villainess's Son

Chapter 381: [Wedding By Blood] [33]

"AHH!!"

Coretta screamed from the top of her lungs as she brought her exoskeleton hand down that held Jones.

The speed of her hand broke the sound barrier.

BOOOM!!!

The ground shook as she slammed Jones, a spiderweb spread for half a mile.

The dust and debris slowly started to settle down while Mariam and Orelena walked beside Coretta's massive exoskeleton.

Coretta's chest heaved as the aftershock of the slam rippled out.

Dust swirled in the air, thick and choking.

For a moment—silence.

Then—

A low, wet chuckle echoed from the crater.

From the shattered earth, something shifted.

Jones' voice, rough and amused, rose through the smoke.

"…That wasn't so nice, blind bitch."

The dust fully cleared—and there he stood.

A little bloodied but healing at an alarming speed.

The ground beneath him was cracked like glass, but his body… it was healing.

Orelena's eyes hardened. "He's regenerating faster than last time."

"Oh, Mother." Jones said, running his hand to fix his hair. "I learned a lot of new things after moving out."

Mariam frowned, raising her hand. "Is he not even taking this seriously?"

Hundreds of sharp, blade-like branches emerged from behind her as she readied herself.

Only Orelena hesitated.

In the end, that man was her son, and she wasn't confident in hurting him.

"Ah, how have you been, Lady Mariam?"

Jones finally took notice of the elf.

"How is Ragnar doing? Haven't seen him after our last battle."

Mariam's face twisted with rage.

Her life was thoroughly destroyed after that one battle.

The battle of Red Crown.

And....

As she looked, the crown slowly started to emerge on his head.

Her rage only spiked.

"Let's start the game."

Jones said, spreading his arms wider.

"Let's see how long you can last."

Mariam was the first to move.

Her body blurred, reaching him in an instant.

Jones smiled and took a step back.

Mariam's branches hit the ground where he stood before.

Tapping on the ground, Jones flew into the sky.

She looked up, her branches made a tunnel right above her.

Mariam compressed the air in the tunnel before stepping inside.

Her body blurred, almost teleporting to where Jones was.

Jones shifted just as her sharp branches moved to crucify him.

But—.

"Argh!"

Coretta's exoskeleton hand punched his entire body, throwing him away.

The ground trembled again as he was launched back through the air, skipping across the cracked battlefield like a stone on water.

Mariam didn't stop.

She blurred again, vanishing with a snap of compressed air—reappearing above him mid-air.

"Blade Storm."

Hundreds of razor-sharp, glowing vines erupted from beside her body, slashing downward in a spiral as she followed his descent.

Jones barely raised his arm in time to block—but the impact drove him straight through several layers of broken boulders.

The sharp vines carved trenches into the land.

Jones stood up as blood dripped down his forehead.

Coretta wasted no time.

Her exoskeleton surged, she threw three continuous punches, keeping him down.

Jones was driven further into the shattered earth.

The last punch struck with such force that a shockwave burst outward, knocking over nearby ruined structures.

A silence lingered within the place.

Just before—.

BOOM!!!

Mariam descended from the sky and hit him square in the chest.

As if it wasn't enough, she changed the shape of her branches into a fist.

BOOM!!!

Slamming hundreds of them at once.

She craved his blood, everything he had done—she wanted to take revenge for it.

Her branch turned into a massive fist.

"Aahhh!!"

Another punch hit him in the face, almost breaking his skull.

Mariam raised her massive branch hand once again.

Just when she was about to hit him—.

"M-Mother?"

Jones' broken voice echoed within the place.

Something slammed into Mariam like a boulder.

She skidded on the ground before coming to a halt, her eyes glaring at Orelena.

"What are you doing!?" Mariam yelled, moving back towards her.

"Can't you see?" Orelena said, holding her ground. "He is in no condition to fight now."

"And that's why we need to kill him!" Mariam barked, her branches moving again. "We can't let the Red Crown tragedy happen once again."

"No." Orelena said, her voice firm. "I am going to capture him and keep him in my custody."

Coretta also dispersed her exoskeleton as she moved towards Orelena.

"Move, Orelena." Mariam said, her sharp branches aimed at the woman. "Or I will force you to."

Coretta quickly came in between them. "Why are you acting like children!? He is a demigod, not some random—."

Her words halted abruptly.

"He is a demigod." Coretta whispered. "How was he defeated so easily?"

She quickly turned to look at them—.

But quickly froze in terror as Jones arrived in between them.

Completely unharmed.

"Let's go."

His voice echoed before they could even move.

"To my world."

---

Mariam blinked.

"Huh?"

Her eyes snapped open as she found something coiling around her.

Hisss.

A winged serpent hissed, staring at her with cold, vicious eyes.

"Where is this?"

A voice echoed from beside her.

Orelena looked around the place, which was nothing but an endless sea filled with storms.

Coretta was in the same condition as Mariam, and only Orelena was unbound.

"You sure are stupid, Mother."

A voice echoed, making them all look forward.

Jones floated in the air with his legs folded, hands resting on his lap.

"How could you fall for such an obvious trap?"

Orelena tried to move, but her body remained frozen.

Her gaze fell only on a dead body floating in the corner.

"Oh, you recognized him?" Jones said, his voice filled with amusement. "I thought you forgot Father."

"...Atlan?"

Orelena whispered softly as the body of a fallen angel floated towards her.

She grabbed him, hugging his cold body.

Jones moved closer towards Mariam, staring right into her eyes.

"You are as arrogant as your son." He said, his tone mocking.

Mariam tried to move, but the serpent didn't let her.

Jones licked his lips as he smiled.

"Ragnar had all the strength in the world, but he still lost to me. Do you know why?"

He asked, tilting his head in amusement.

"Because I am smarter than him."

"Ragnar never lost to you." Coretta barked, trying to annoy him.

"My plan was to kill the World Tree, and I was able to do it.." Jones said, looking at her. "I count that as a win."

He then turned back to Mariam, a thought flickering in his mind.

"Do you know why Ragnar killed everyone in his family?" He asked, his lips curling up in a smile. "Why he would go to such lengths?"

He slowly circled towards her back. "Because he understood his weakness and overcame them."

Mariam kept trying to break free, but something was abnormal about the serpent.

It didn't even budge.

"Don't bother." Jones said. "I have integrated my inner world with Baal's kingdom."

"Ahh."

Everything started to make sense to her.

The uneasiness, the powerlessness.

It's not the kingdom of a demigod, but a Primordial God.

"H-how?"

Orelena's voice made Jones look towards his mother.

"How did he die?"

Jones smiled, floating towards her.

"Him?"

He said, grinning.

"I killed him."

"Where...." Zenith began looking at me. "Where does chocolate milk come from?"

I let out a soft chuckle as I rubbed her face.

She immediately lost consciousness after that, her breathing heavy but she was out of danger.

My body stumbled to the ground as my muscles relaxed from the tension.

"She should be back on her feet in no time," I mumbled, looking to her side where Yennefer sat on the bed.

Tears still fell down her cheeks as she cried her eyes out.

Zenith's breathing was still weak while I slowly stood up.

"What about the oath?" she asked, not looking at me. "Why did you say—"

"I inherited everything from someone," I interrupted, smiling softly. "Taking care of your daughter was one of them."

'I miss you, El.'

Yennefer stared blankly at me for a while before she lowered her head once again.

"Are you alright?" I asked, placing my hand on Yennefer's shoulder.

"I am fine," she replied, her voice cracked as she lowered her head. "I just... don't have energy to move."

"...Right."

Her mana is a mess because of some kind of mild venom.

Not enough to kill her but enough to keep her from fighting at full strength.

"I should—"

My words halted as Yennefer stood up and moved closer.

She hugged me tightly, squeezing me with every breath.

Yennefer buried her face into my shoulder, her voice muffled and trembling.

"She almost died…"

Her hands clutched the back of my shirt like she was afraid I'd vanish if she let go.

"I thought...I thought I'd lose her just like the others."

I gently wrapped my arms around her, not knowing what to say—because what could I say?

"She's alive," I whispered, resting my chin lightly atop her head. "You didn't lose her."

....Was she always this fragile and weak?

I never noticed it.

Her sobbing continued while I rubbed her back.

[<Qais.>]

'..Yeah, I noticed it too.'

For a long while, the sound of people fighting kept ringing in my head.

It felt like the battle was happening right beside me.

[<Elijah is in danger....and so is Aimar.>]

I bit my lip as I slowly let go of her.

"Look after Zenith," I said with a soft smile, wiping her tears. "I will be right back."

"Where are you..."

Her words halted as she felt something amiss.

Before she could catch up on it, I started to move.

"Look after Heather as well."

I said before closing the door behind me.

"....Sigh."

A sigh escaped my lips as I looked around the room.

Tens of dead bodies lay in front of the room, mingled and broken.

'Did Elijah do this?'

I wondered as I started to move, following the dead bodies.

As I followed the traces, the sound of the battle started to grow.

When I walked out of the building, the sparks in the sky caught my attention.

One of them was Elijah going toe to toe against the Asura.

Khokan.

A deeply buried rage exploded in my heart as I remembered him.

One of the minions of Ragnar.

[<Are you going to fight him?>]

I took a moment to think as I rubbed my face.

'What will happen if the church gets to know I am an avatar?'

[<What are you planni—.>]

'What if I was Avatar of two gods?'

[<.....>]

'Inna?'

[<They will grovel at your feet.>]

I let out a soft chuckle as I cracked my joints.

'That would be quite a sight, don't you think?'

[<Indeed.>]

I smiled, grabbing a sword fallen on the ground.

I walked into the place where the wedding was supposed to happen.

The nobles were all gathered in one place, staring in awe as Elijah and Khokan fought.

Hundreds of black-armored soldiers stood guard around them.

"Hey! Who are you!?"

"Intruder!"

"Someone is here!?"

A few of them quickly took notice of me, alerting the others.

In no time, almost fifty of them encircled me.

I unsheathed my sword while they rushed at me.

'Inna?'

[<Yes?>]

'Would you watch over me?'

[<Gladly.>]

'Thank you.'

"Rejection Of Time."

The world slowed down, but this time I focused on the area.

Taking everyone in the area of effect, I moved.

And in the next instant—

Fifty soldiers froze mid-motion.

My body blurred.

A blade embedded through a throat.

A spear shattered, its wielder cut in half.

Limbs dropped, mouths gasped in slow, pitiful realization as their movements dragged through molasses.

And I moved through them like wind.

I slashed downward, carving a man in black armor clean from shoulder to hip.

Another scream stretched into silence as I drove my blade through a breastplate, twisting the steel until bone cracked beneath it.

Blood froze mid-air, droplets catching light like red diamonds.

When the last of them fell, I exhaled.

Time snapped back.

And all fifty collapsed at once.

Screams, metal clattering, and wet thuds echoed across the courtyard—drawing every noble, soldier, and bystander's eyes toward me.

"Who the hell…?" one of them whispered.

Another staggered back, pale-faced. "T-that's… that's not possible…"

Up above, Elijah faltered mid-blow.

Khokan hit him straight in the jaw as he fell down like a meteorite.

I moved once again, grabbing hold of his broken body.

"H-Himmel?"

"Sorry, brother."

I smiled apologetically, placing my hand over his chest.

"Lend me some divinity."
