Reincarnated in sekirei

( Yuuki's POV )

As Ikaros and I went deeper into the cave, the temperature of the place began to drop and I could hear loud breathing sounds It was obvious what was waiting for us at the end of the tunnel was a giant creature.

Upon reaching the center of the lair my suspicions were confirmed when I saw that the leader of the minotaurs was a giant dragon, the color of his scales and the icicles coming out of his body told me that he was an ice dragon.

Ice Dragon: Who dares to enter my treasure room? Those foolish bulls are going to need punishment.

The dragon started to talk when he saw us instructing in his home but I ignored him and looked behind him where his treasure was, That was the classic pile of gold, some artifacts that might or might not be magical, and what we came to look for, the captured princesses who were four little girls.

The dragon must have felt offended by my indifference and the next thing he did was attack Ikaros and me with a freezing dragon breath, I defended us with a dome-shaped barrier and returned my attention back to the dragon as he wanted, the princesses were being treated like the dragon's treasure so I didn't have to worry about their safety for the moment.

Ice Dragon: Who are you? What do you want here?

When we survived his attack without taking damage, the dragon tried diplomacy, but I knew it wouldn't work; a dragon never leaves his treasure go.

Yuuki: I'm a simple traveler, and I'm here to take the princesses back.

Ice Dragon: *ROARRRR* I'm not going to let you take my treasure.

Yuuki: I wasn't asking.

The dragon responded with hostility once more as I expected, he attacked me with a powerful sweep of his tail but I stood firm in my ground and stopped that attack in its tracks, I grew sharp claws on my hands and cut off the dragon's tail with a swipe of my hand.

The dragon let out a roar of pain and the next thing he tried was to crush me with one of his large claws, Once again, I stopped the attack by raising my hands to the ground, and while I was holding it, Ikaros summoned his laser pants.

Yuuki: Wait, this one's mine.

I pulled his claw with all my strength and tore his entire arm from his shoulder, the dragon let out another roar of pain and I began to charge a powerful Cero laser, I aimed for its throat and when I shot upwards I put a hole in the dragon and in the roof of its lair, the dragon fell lifeless and I approached the captured princesses.

They were staring at me in amazement and with their mouths agape, I put on a smile and tried to comfort them.

Yuuki: Don't worry, you'll be home soon.

We walked back to the wooden elevator and all four girls were holding my hands as if their lives depended on it, although I assured them that the danger had already passed.

After using the elevator and heading towards the group of knights from before, We met them halfway and when they saw the princess they should be protecting safe and sound, they were excited.

As we approached I handed the princess over to her but she was somewhat hesitant to let go of my hand, I gave her a smile and again assured her that she was safe now, With that she climbed into her repaired carriage, then Ikaros approached one of the knights and placed in his hands a heavy sack full of gold.

Caballero: Huh, what's this?

Yuuki: Compensation for the trouble that dragon caused you.

Knight: A dragon!?

I explained to them what had happened during my rescue of the princesses but there were some doubts in the knights, Of course, dispatching a dragon isn't something anyone can do, much less doing it alone, but the princesses were quick to back up my story.

Knight: You should come to the castle with us, there you will be appropriately rewarded.

Princess Luceria smiled broadly at the idea of us accompanying her but I had other duties to perform.

Yuuki: I would love that, but I have to return these princesses to their homes as soon as I can.

I received information about the kingdoms the other princesses belonged to and I immensely spread my fallen angel wings, I took two of the princesses and Ikaros carried the last one.

We flew north to deliver the first princess along with a sack of gold from the dragon's hoard.

The kingdom of the third princess was to the south and was a coastal kingdom, when I handed over the princess again I left them a heavy sack of gold.

I was doing that in case we were to create a base in this world in the future, a good reputation with three different kingdoms would do us good.

When only the last girl was left with us we returned to the dragon's lair, this girl was different from the others, to begin with she had cute fox ears and multiple fluffy tails, I think she was a special species of kitsune called Kyubi.

Yuuki: Hey little one, could you tell me your name? Mine is Yuuki.

???: um I'm Kunou.

Yuuki: Okay, Kunou, you're not from this world, right? You appeared here after crossing a strange portal, right?

Kunou: Um! How did you know?

Yuuki: I come from the same place as you, so be happy, I'm going to take you home like I promised.

I pet the girl's head and when she realized she wasn't going to be stuck in this world, she put on a huge smile and gave me a big hug.

This lair was the perfect place to open the portal back home, but before that, I inspected the dragon's corpse and the remains of its hoard for useful artifacts.
