Thankfully for her though, Xu Feng was not one to waver or be swayed by others' excuses. In fact, he would only be even more cruel, especially those who not only attempted to defend themselves but also pin the blame on others.

"How ridiculous, Ardent Lance!" Xu Feng sneered coldly.

"Sure, her position was not that ideal, but that's because your assistance was even more trash than someone's grandma. Even a grandma could do better than you!"

"Have you not noticed Shadow Blade's deflection and how he minimized the splitting of the sludges when compared to you?"

"Relax, I won't reprimand you like these two clueless people."

'But I am one of the clueless people…' Veronica wanted to say those words aloud but refrained herself. In the end, she took a deep breath and began recounting what she saw from Zhao Kai.

"Um, when Shadow Blade was deflecting the sludges away from me. I've noticed his bullets not only deflected the sludges but they also didn't split themselves up."

Nodding in agreement, Xu Feng patiently waited for her to continue.

Having realized she needed to go on, Veronica glanced at Carmen sneakily, who simply shrugged and smiled helplessly. Her implication meant that it was fine to go on and not worry about the others.

Sighing, Veronica had no choice but to continue, "If I had to make a guess, I think Shadow Blade took notice of your advice since the start and swapped out his bullets to magic-based. Thus, even when he shot and deflected the sludges, not only will it damage them, allowing it to be easier for us to kill, but it also won't increase the difficulty of the battle."
